Bad blend can be saved by a good line up! And a bad line up can ruin a good blend! 100% on point!
My barber is one of the best and been cutting my hair for over 20 years. He’s old school and doesn’t do guidelines. To him it’s like cheating and being lazy. He’s a true master at this craft. I can tell you got some skills too the way you cut and explain. You’ve been trained well and have experience and knowledge. Props to you💯
I had an older mexican gentleman barber fade me up a couple times right before he retired and it was clean but you could still barely see his guide marks..looked like tetris or like he was following a grid. Interesting technique.
Guidelines is like a puzzle. You have to cut hair along a line at the same length and then blend into the guard size higher or lower than that one. The key is to blend all the lines evenly and smoothly. The reason guidelines works so well is that it gives the barber a chance to check his/her work and ensure the transition is smooth. Now,some barbers can do what this man does and it works for him. Ultimately though the client is the one who should decide what he likes. On self cuts, I use guidelines all the time because it helps me blend both sides of my head evenly. Thanks for the video !
Kann, the no guideline system has worked out great for me. My fades are looking better than ever. Your tutorials are educational, especially without loud repetitious music distracting us from your commentary, thank you!! 😊
Grandfather owned a shop for 25 years. Taught me how to blend without guidelines using the Oster Classic 76. Never needed guidelines after learning with those clippers, taught me crazy feel with the 76.
This is exactly how I have my hair 5 on top blended at the sides. I’ve just tried this on my own hair and it looks great thanks.
Best video I seen on RUclips on fading. Very clear and right to the point. Im no barber, but slowing learning.
i can cut a customers head bald without guidelines
Kann, thanks for this informative tutorial my fades has gotten so much better. Love how you compared the two styles . It makes so much sense now.
Youre a great barber. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. It really helps alot
After legit every sentence he says “okay” “yeah” “ya know” “alright” lmfao. Legit after every single sentence lmfao wtf
This is an outstanding video tutorial my man! This is like some kinda "Barbers: What they don't want you to know" type of video leak. LOL Very informative tho! Thanks!
This video helped me a lot to give a perfect fade. You are the best. Ty.
The best video I've seen, thanks for not rushing, not everyone picks it up super fast!
I thought I've seen all the best tutorials out there already then I stumbled upon this. Thanks man!
You damn right brother. I always thought about it that way. It’s faster, smarter and better! that’s how I do my(my own hair) tapers and it comes out way better 👌🏼
yo thanks for this! you explain fading and cutting the most clear out of most if not all videos on youtube lol keep it up!! maybe some combovers or other hairstyles would be nice
Guideline is a smoother fade I would say
I like how you say " in my opinion" Big humble but highly skilled asf.
