This should be common politeness though. I don't know how the situation is overseas but, at least in Italy you're supposed to refer to older people as "sir" or to use at least a basic degree of formality when you speak to them, unless there is quite a lot of history between the two of you

I always sit down with homeless dudes and check out their story. Annoys some of my friends sometimes but I was so close to this myself and spent a lot of time on the streets.
Take the time to talk to people guys; it might surprise you.

It’s so refreshing to see a man like Jeff giving of his talent to someone in great need. The customer looks to me intelligent kind and hopefully he will develop some confidence and move onto a satisfying and productive existence. He looks like an entirely different person now. He is naturally a handsome man, no need to hide behind all that hair. I also didn't realize all the talent and skill that goes into being a good barber. Well done. I hope he can keep up the new look. Unfortunately, the sound was so low I couldn't hear the conversation, even with my speakers and volume turned all the way up. Thanks for the occasional captions. I hope Jeff's month in rehab and hopefully now new living situation will help him get back to remembering the good person I'm sure he is, and can rebuild his life. He's not too old to do just that. Never give up. Learn new skills. Good luck to him, and Kudos to you, Ricky for finding that diamond in the rough.

Thats a great initiative, maybe beardbrand could start a project where a small percentage of the profits or one specific product goes toward a haircut a meal and an outfit to the ones in need, being well maintained goes a long way in a job interview, and would make me feel better about buying the products
Honestly that would be nice but we all no now adays companies are quick to take money and rarely give it back.

This is awesome brother. A lot of people don't realize how something as simple as a haircut can make you feel. You feel clean, confident, your spirits are lifted and you just feel happy. This man was so appreciative and he felt loved cause that's exactly what ya'll showed him. God bless you 🙏🏻
You could see how handsome and kindly this man was prior to his cut and shave but he now looks like a much younger version of himself. It was so kind of you to pay it forward, kudos to you.

Dude, at one stage of my career, some homeless people raked a higher income than me. I'd be honoured if they regarded ME as an equal lol.
I go to my local homeless shelter once a month and cut hair for all the homeless who live there. Men and women! It makes them feel better andbits important to pay it forward.

I work with them homeless up here in Illinois ..I also stayed in a sober house (Oxford) for 2 years following a 6 month stay in rehab and it saved my life ..tjis has been 15+ years ago . I love to see another brother who was down make it outta the darkness and pay it forward ....thanks again T
How amazing is Ricky? Totally transformed Jeff and helped him forget about being homeless for a while and put a smile on his face. We could all be more compassionate and caring towards those less fortunate, you don't have to necessarily buy them anything, just be kinder and acknowledge them when passing rather than ignoring them. I think, what you've given him is not only a nice haircut, but an experience of your gentle touch and your attention, like making and handling a precious work of art.
Right, no one can say for sure what Jeff's future will be like. But I believe that all the gentle words, warm attitudes and eye contact you've given him during the haircut, I'm sure those things would have helped and encouraged Jeff in some way, anyhow.
Don't hear any of negative comments down there. They just undermine people or give negative effects on others. A doer with good will like you shouldn't be hurt by anyone who's just busy cutting down on someone or discouraging others.
