The Tamron 20mm F2.8 is a full frame prime lens that was released along with the 24mm and 35mm F2.8 lenses. Due to its small size, it looks like a great lens for portability and wide enough for vlogging. Featuring an OSD motor, weather sealing, close focusing ability at 11cm, this looks like a good lens at a reasonably cheap price.

Nice review, well done. :)
Thank you!! ✌️
I’m happy enough with my F2.8 zooms but I can’t work out why these do not have a faster aperture.
Especially if they are keeping the 67mm thread.
Yeah I would have hoped for faster lens but I guess cause Tamron wanted to keep these lenses reasonably light and cheap which is why they went with those apertures.
Where did you get that photo printed at?
I got it printed at a place called cameraclix. The link is in my description 😊
Lens Full Frame Native?
Does it lose focus or is it just not as good in continuous focus.
It's not the best when it comes to continuous autofocus which I guess is cause of the OSD motor that the lens uses but in good lighting conditions it can be pretty good.
compare with samyang af 18mm f2.8 fe, which one do you think is better? thx..
I personally like the Samyang better cause its smaller and the autofocus seems to be more reliable.
@@JohnSisonPhotography yea I have the same question as well. Cheers
I still hope Tamron build an ultra wide lense under 17mm. Like an 12-24 or an 14mm for Sony FE.
For the 20mm, I know its a little bit more expensive, but why to buy the 20mm when you can buy the 17-28...
I wonder how expensive that would be. I suppose some people may just want a smaller and lighter lens on their camera that is also cheaper than the zoom. The more options the better 😊
@@JohnSisonPhotography idk.. i try to sell my 17-28 atm and get the Sony 12-24 f4. Its expensive but 17 is for me in so much situations not wide enough.
This lens how to vlog experience
Easy lens to vlog with!
