OMG I have to knit a blanket in this pattern, and Pink is my FAVOURITE colour. I am definitely going to give this a go - I am currently knitting a blanket using your Tumbling Blocks Pattern that is looking really nice, only wish I could knit a bit faster LOL. You make knitting so very easy, I LOVE your tutorials. Very sadly, my Mum died 15 years ago and she was a great knitter, and tried many times to teach me. She would now say, "who are you and where is my Daughter" Thank you for sharing and making knitting so easy. x
So sweet, Linda. Haha, your mother sounds lovely. My late grandmother would be pretty shocked by my love of knitting today, too! Enjoy knitting up both blankets.
Knit a 4 inch by 4 inch test swatch with the yarn and needles you plan to use. From your swatch, figure out how many stitches to the inch your pattern is. Assuming you know how many inches wide your stroller blanket will be, multiply that number by your stiches per inch calculation. E.g., say your swatch determines your pattern is 5 stiches to the inch and you want your blanket to be 24 inches wide, you would cast on 5 x 24 = 120 stiches.
It’s because you need the cord of the circular needles to hold the length of all those stitches. It’s knitted flat, so if you have needles long enough for your blanket size, that’ll work.
@ thanks, I have not knitted in years and have only used the straight needles- I can’t conceptualize what it looks like . But I guess I could just give it a go and hope for the best!

can you make a video on how to do short rows like w +tp and w+tk im confused on how that works for a certain pattern i want to start.
I would love to make the stroller blanket with worsted medium weight yarn. How would you figure the cast on stitches for that yarn?

Lovely
Hi!!! Can I use regular needles? I see everyone using circular needles not sure why thanks!
It’s because you need the cord of the circular needles to hold the length of all those stitches. It’s knitted flat, so if you have needles long enough for your blanket size, that’ll work.

I’m confused why does row 12 have a different number of knitting stitches before the K4b?
Wow! So pretty... ❤️ I definitely want one. 💯

I wish you’d give circular & straight needle patters 🤷🏻♀️
Ok so I don't actually need a circular needle? I don't have one ;-;
