I am LOVING your scientific approach to comparing these patterns! Can everyone do this, please?! Also, the intro is SO AWESOME. I am completely impressed with this series and I can’t wait for the next one. Well done, Theresa! 💯
Haha, I'll have to tell my husband that you liked the intro. He was the musical mastermind, but we collaborated on the video elements. I really enjoy these videos. I am such a detail-oriented person, and I know that I'm not the only one. I'm glad that others enjoy hearing the detailed comparisons, too!
Reassuring to hear that it’s not just me who has difficulty with piecing Love Notions pdf printed patterns together! I get frustrated every time as they never match particularly well. I love their designs (especially their Classic tee - actually my favourite of the three T’s you’re testing), but their pattern imprecision drives me nuts! Loving the series - well done and thanks!
It was mostly frustrating because they say the pages don't need to be trimmed. I ended up wishing that I had just trimmed them! I feel pretty confident that I'll end up with three very wearable shirts, which is alright by me!
@@becky3161 the overlap was too long for me in the vertical. I was printing on A4, so I don't know if that effects it. I'd be curious to know if you use American standard 9 1/2 x 11"?
Thanks for sharing the nitty and gritty. I find I waste paper with LN. Now I scrutinize the diagram to see if I really need to print every page. Nice to know I am not the only one having issues with the taping and glueing. Can’t wait for the next one.
I usually check each page, which I kick myself for not doing this time. I only didn't because they listed them so clearly for me. Ah well, live and learn. Thanks for watching!
Great video series! I've been looking at the Concord Tee for so long, but it is a pretty pricey pattern. I think I got the Classic Tee from love notions for free when it was introduced.
I know, it's hard to know if it's worth the price. I think it will all come down to the fit for me. I often find that Cashmerette patterns are worth their price because of the great fit. We'll see about this one!
Ah, cool! I've used them all and feel like they're pretty reliable, which makes it more of an interesting comparison for me. Hope you enjoy the rest of the series!
watching this video has made me realize how lucky i am that my measurements almost always fit into a single size. i have plenty of other fit issues that i have to deal with but picking a size is something where there's not a lot of guesswork for me. i am interested to see how you compare the fit for the rest of the series, particularly since 2 of the patterns are close-fitting while the Classic Tee is more of a relaxed fit. for myself i think of loose tees as separate entities from tight tees. i really appreciate JLH sizing and that she includes A-cup sizing. i've really liked all of the garments i've made from that company so far.
Thanks, Sara! I really don't think there are a lot of pattern companies that have A cup options, and I truly appreciate that Jennifer Lauren does that. All of us deserve to make patterns that fit, and the less "fitting" we need to do, the better. I'm pretty used to grading between sizes, but it would be nice to avoid that particular complication. One fit issue at a time, though. 😉
Love that you’re doing this! ⭐️ So thorough! I’ve been interested in trying the Concord Tee but will wait for your final results before I commit! I haven’t found a tee pattern with a neckline I love yet - hoping that might be the one, seeing as there are multiple options. 🙂
If you are a “D” bra size or larger, I don’t think you can beat Cashmerette for fit. I buy the tissue pattern so pay even more . . . and still think they are worth the money.
Hi Barbara, I think you're probably right. Cashmerette have only just started making patterns in my size, but it's a very exciting prospect. I'm quietly expediting to like the fit of theirs the best, but I will reserve final judgement until they're all made up!
Love, love, love your clash series. Great job, much appreciated. So much effort out into the details. Thank you! Can't wait for the next episode.
That means so much to hear, thank you Lisa! They take a fair amount to put together, but I really enjoy making them.
Love the detailed interrogation of the patterns, Theresa! It’s so helpful to have it all laid out like this - looking forward to the next part!
Thanks, Marie! I try to share what I find helpful, and details that I'd like to hear about. It's always great to hear that others agree!
I really appreciate how detailed you go on this series! They are so helpful! Looking forward to your final makes and decision! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, Tracey! I love hearing these kinds of details, and it's always great to know that I'm not alone!

LN patterns are the only patterns I have ever got to match perfectly without any trimming !

@@LostMyThread I printed on A4 (UK)
@@becky3161 fair enough. I think we all have our preferences, but I would have preferred to trim mine.
Great job, Theresa! Very informative and thorough! 💗
Thank you, Andra! I really appreciate your support!
Well done, can't wait for the outcome. Cheers Mary
Thanks for watching, Mary! I'm looking forward to having some nice new tops!
Such a fun and informative series! Looking forward to the next video! Thank you 😊
Glad to hear that you're enjoying it! Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching, Michelle! I never know which way these things are going, which is a big part of the fun!
Thank you so much for your detailed video. This information is so helpful!
It's great to hear that you enjoyed it! I love getting into the deep details, and it's rewarding to know that people appreciate it.

Loving this series! So interesting to hear how the patterns compare. ❤
Thanks Amelia! I often think along these lines when sewing up different patterns, and it's nice to have somewhere to put these thoughts.
Amazing info as I havent used any of these pattern companies, so a big thankyou. I'll be interested to see the end results
