Ahhh I’m so glad you enjoyed 😁 I love T-shirt’s so much that I felt they needed some spotlight 🥰 I still feel I want to make so many more and explore more patterns xx
@@SewingBunny me too, which is why I absolutely loved your video. I don't make much casual wear but with Covid and being at home so much, I am thinking I should make some more cozy alternatives 😃
Fantastic video! I defo need to make the Frankie as I have the book but not made that! I usually use a GAP T-shirt copy to make tshirts but I am a little bored of the same style! Well done on so much research! X
The number of t-shirt patterns out there is mind-blowing so this was super helpful. Great to see the different styles on you in a variety of fabrics. Thank you so much.
Thank for modelling and critiqueing all your t-shirt patterns. It has made me realize I like a more fitted t-shirt and I don't really like a dropped shoulder on a t-shirt. I think my favourite of your patterns was the first Pattern Union T. I've always just bought my t-shirts because they are so inexpensive and I keep them for years. Now as they wear out and get put in the rag bag (to become stuffing for the Closet Core Pouf) I will replace them with me made tshirts. Again great job and thanks so much.
Yes there are so many styles and and I still have ready to wear t shirts here and there as the thought of wearing a handmade one for gardening or something fills me with dread....unless it was a sewing fail 🤣
Thanks for such a thorough and honest review (as always!). I particularly enjoyed seeing you modelling the different patterns, especially in different fabric types!
So handy that you made this video now! I'm about to venture into knits and jerseys and need a few patterns to cut my teeth on, there are so many it's hard to decide which ones to try first. Thanks for posting!!
Ooooh brilliant you are trying out knots and jersey 😁👍 maybe try one of the free ones first as then you don’t have to spend any money on a pattern whilst your trying it out? Xx
I have just found you. This is a great video. There are loads of tee shirt patterns and it's hard to choose. My favourite was the Eva tee so I've bought it and have cut it out.
Oh yes. Forgot to say that this was a great pattern to stick together and all the lines matched up which doesn't always happen. I've cut one. out ready to sew tomorrow. Also I like that they have envelope pages as well.
No apologies necessary for the length of the video! It is immensely helpful to see so many t-shirts compared side by side in one video! Truly! This was wonderful! Partly because of the fabric, but also the design, I think the penultimate tee is my favorite that you showed! So beautiful in every way! Your modeling and descriptions really helped to point out the differences and I really, really appreciated your input on fabric content and fabric recommendations! Thank you for this video!
Awww thank you so much for amazing feedback I’m so pleased you enjoyed the video and found it helpful! It’s so wonderful to know if it helped you in anyway xx
I enjoyed your video and love your tee shirts. I love the Molly top and have made it many times as I love the neckband., length and sleeves. I’ve also made the Molly dress but added a band on it like the Southbank as it seemed very wide. It’s lovely as a dress. I needed to grade in on the body as I make a 12 to get plenty of room at the top/ shoulders. Thank you 🤗
Great video as I said before I was also stumped by the v neck neck band and as a first time jersey sewer I would have been put off if I hadn’t seen your video .😀
Love that pink Threadcount t shirt on you Michele & the Plantain, I've got that one printed out & ready to sew next & as you know I love the Mandy boat tees, perfect for beginners as there's no neckbands to faff with.
Hi Michelle, so much for all t-shirts being the same. Great video and really informative, especially on how you found the easy of making each & advise on choosing the right fabric. Well done.
That's a great video - I think everyone needs at least one t-shirt 😊 I love your fabric choices - I now want most of them! 😁 And you make a great model x
So great to se your videos, inspiring and I always want to run to my sewing machine and make some new garments 🤗 and you and your cats 🐈is so lovely to see 😻
Great review - really thorough and interesting. It is so helpful to be able to see the differences across patterns - especially how the viscose jerseys look relative to the cotton ones. Thank you!
Brilliant video Michelle! The way you showed the different styles in the various fabrics was really useful. I have just bought a bunch of jerseys and wasn’t sure which pattern to chose so this is really helpful, thank you 😀
Hi Michelle, I'm new to your channel but love it. You have a very similar style to myself. I was wondering though whether you would consider doing a vlog about which patterns you know that you can make with only 1m of fabric. I have noticed that you mention a few times you only had 1m of fabric (in this video but also in your some of your other videos too). I feel like that would be so useful as fabric is so expensive.
@@SewingBunny thanks. That'll be really interesting and helpful. I'm sure your followers will all love it. BTW I love all the cat fabrics you choose. Definitely your style. 😀
This is Fab!! I knew of most but great to see some new ones and LOVE all your versions and thanks also for mentioning M2M fabrics that’s another one for me to give all my money to then!! 💸 😆❤️
Brilliant reviews and loved that you have different fabrics too. Not always easy to decide when you see them in pattern form and you have given us such great details especially the ones that just don’t give you enough details! After struggling with v necks while making scrubs I know how you feel 🤪 Looking forward to your next vlog 😍
This is really useful as I love a jersey tee. I even have some of these printed out ready to make and glad I have seen these to help decide on some fabrics. Thanks 😊
Thanks Michelle! You have a black kitty too!😻 I haven’t made a T-shirt yet, and was thinking that would be a good next project, so this video was timely! I had forgotten that there was a t-shirt in the Tilly Stretch book, and I have that book!.... great....pattern sorted...on to picking fabric😀
Yeah I have 2 lovely kitty cats 😻 Ahhh great that I sparked your memory into picking the Stretch book up 😁 hope it goes well when you give it a go 👍💕 x
I am new to stretch fabrics and thought the Threadcount TC2006 would be a doddle. Big mistake. I've spent endless hours trying to make sense of the neckline and was so relieved to see your video and that you couldn't make sense of it either. Many thanks.
Lovely.. So good of you to share and compare them all for us.... 💕❤️ amd FYI the grainline scout tee is my fav woven tshirt that is easy to dress up or down, I usually make it in linen or other drapes woven .... very versatile and you might try it since you enjoy grainline patterns
You have a wonderful collection of T shirts..I like all of your fabrics..a beautiful choice...I do not use 100%cotton knit no matter the price it stretches out spandex is enough to make it hold its shapr..well done..
Great video, you have a good eye for fabric that suits you. I loved the otters and the pandas! I hadn't thought of doing a molly top in viscose so I think I'll have a go at one soon as I love a drapey t shirt. I'm a new subscriber so I'm busy going through your back catalogue 🙂
Thank you so much! Yes give the molly a go in viscose I love the fit of it in the drapey fabric 😁 ahhh so pleased you are a new subscriber and you found me 🥰 x
Brilliant vlog, so useful to compare all the patterns. I’ve made loads of the Plantain tees and they do look good in viscose jersey and cotton jersey. I also like the Ebony tee though it’s really more of a top than a tee x
I loved your video and I love the Molly Top (Sew Over it). Didn't like the Mandy boat tee at all but I think I used the wrong weight of fabric. It was great to see so many patterns and fabrics. New subscriber!
I'm a new subscriber and I really enjoyed watching this detailed review so thank you Michelle. I immediately went to look at the Linden but its just a bit too small in sizing for me. Fingers crossed they bring out a wider size range soon as promised on their website last year.
Do you know what Love Sewing magazine issue number those thread count patterns were in? I can't find them on their website. They are so cute! Great videos, you inspire me so sew more t-shirts

Nancy Newman glad you enjoyed watching thank you! For the Mandy Boat Tee I didn’t size down I think you just need to be careful with fabric choice so it needs to be really floaty 😁 x
What a beautiful t-shirt collection! 😍 thank you so much for this review! Very very useful! I will start by downloading the free patterns 😂 I click on these website pages but nothing happens ...what should we do to get it free? Thanks for your help Btw love your videos 🌷🌸
Hiya thank you for watching 😁 I think the Mandy boat tee you add to your basket and then go through the check out and I think it maybe the same for the plantain too. I know the hemlock you have to sign up to their newsletter first and then you get access to the pattern x
Nancy Newman thank you for your help, it seems to me that it is what I did , I got the grainline but the mandy boat still pending... I will keep on trying. Many thanks ladies🥰
Hi Michelle, Can I ask your advice about the Molly tee? Just about to make my first in viscose jersey, long sleeved version. Instructions say to press seams open. I would prefer to overlock but do you think that will be too bulky where the long sleeve extension joins to the main piece? Hope you don't mind me asking.
That’s a great question and to be honest I use the overlocker on all my Molly tops and I don’t find the seams are bulky at all so I think you will be fine 👍 xx
It took me a while to get the hang of the neck bands. I used to stretch them out all the time and they were all wobbly. Have you tried using ribbing? I find that the easiest to use and usually have good results every time x
