I hate to sound like a broken record (do people even know what a record is???) but this is EXACTLY why I sew my own clothes. Where oh where would we be without our Indie pattern makers? I am so excited to get this Concord pattern and start playing with it! My only problem is finding knit fabrics in exactly the pattern/colorway that I want! Great makes, Whitney!
@Mary Enos I agree!! I LOVE Vogue Fabrics and have used them for many years and living so close, I try to get up there every chance I get. It just seems that when I'm looking for something very specific, I just can't seem to find it! Of course, if I wasn't looking for that specific color combination in a stripe cotton spandex it would be everywhere!!!
It is both mine and my daughter's favorite t-shirt pattern. Its really well done! I'm also a member of her club and have been so impressed with that as well!
...just got 8 yards of 95% cotton 5% lycra Jersey knit ! Perfect timing for this Concord Tee-shirt pattern. I like the look of the neckline options, sleeve lengths, and everything. Thank you for sharing this. Just last night, I viewed 'retail sales' to gather ideas. Boom = $60 for a retail tee-shirt = a tee-shirt that would never fit my 5'2". This pattern looks so nice on you, Whitney. So, the Concord it is for me, too. ~ L
The off white tshirt with the celery color pants looks perfect. Such a good look its model worthy. Love the neckband width and look of it on the concord tshirt pattern
I just saw you on WAWAK's website ... how nice to see a familiar face featured!!! It was so helpful to see your makes and get your thoughts on this pattern ... I picked it up and can't wait to give it a try!
Hi Whitney, Nice job on your tee shirts they look good. It is nice to have patterns that we can be happy to wear, make over and over in many ways. I have been cutting out Christmas stocking to give to family members. Starting my Christmas sewing early this year.
I was going to ask you why it would be good to have several t-shirt patterns. Of course, you explained it perfectly at the beginning. You’re an excellent sewist and mind reader!!
I love your Breton style striped with the "rounded boat" neckline which does SO suit you Whitney - beautiful! I'm going to take this inspiration from you! I have this pattern and made my first one years ago shortly after I had returned to sewing. I love this pattern for many reasons. Yes the bust is fantastic but so are the shoulders. I find Cashmerette fits my shoulders so well because they are narrow (Kibbe Soft Dramatic is me :)) I'm not as curvy as she drafts for too, but it's always easy to shave a bit off the hip to fit. I always have to lengthen the patterns too since I'm 5'8". I believe Jenny drafts for 5'6"? I'm not 100% sure. I know I typically have to lengthen her patterns but this isn't anywhere near the work of an FBA and narrow shoulder adjustment which I have to do with most pattern companies. Her pant patterns also offer the flat bottom option which is perfect for me! I recommend Cashmerette patterns to anyone that will listen lol I'm an avid fan as you can tell :) I have her swim suit pattern too which I'm going to use for panties, it fits so well.
This is one of my all time favorites I bought this years ago when it first came out. Have made this so many times. I have the tissue pattern but going to buy the PDF while it’s on sale. You hit the nail on the head when you said Jenny designs for big boobs. I have never been disappointed with Cashmerette. I just bought the Auburn blazer but havent made it yet cant wait to have a structured blazer that fits my body.
Love your content. The tshirt dress is beautiful. Looks like you need a sway back adjustment. Can tell you keep tugging on that area and it is bunched up. You should become a designer yourself.
Hi Whitney, I too love the Concord Tee. It is definitely my go to pattern. I'd love to make one with that boatneck. You mentioned the Edie neckline for your boatneck stripped T-shirt. Which pattern company has the Edie pattern? Thank you in advance!
The Edie is part of the Sew Over It Work to Weekend Ebook. However, if you don't want to buy the pattern just for the neckline, I showed how I drafted it (with measurements) in this video: ruclips.net/video/DX-EiSzST18/видео.html
I think we've been doing exactly the same this week...though I've been using the Iris t-shirt. I spent a while doing a dartless fba and have now nailed the fit so I've been doing every permutation possible!! Love all your hacks...especially the dress! I need to try a Cashmerette pattern now they have extended their size range down as I have the 'big boob issue' too - it would certainly save a lot of sellotape!
After the excellent fit, the best thing about Cashmerette, is the fact that they also offer tissue patterns (I didn’t even like cut and paste in kindergarten). They are pricey but worth it.
Thank you! I think you could omit the sleeves and do just a bit of armhole tweaking (lower the armhole a touch and then coming in on the shoulder a touch) and you would have a fabulous tank!
Thank you! My specific issue is Keeping the stitching a consistent distance From the seam line, if that makes sense. I did get an edge stitching foot for my machine but I’m unable to get an acceptable look.
That T shirt is beautiful. Never thought I'd say that about a T before, but this one really is. I am going to buy it today! My shape is best defined as the shape of a fire plug! LOL! Not kidding either, that is what I look like with big breasts attached. I love the striped fabric you used too. On the white cotton one, you said you got it at Fabric Mart and I was wondering how you determined it was a thicker cotton as that is what I need. I really don't like the very thin cotton T shirt fabric that the stores push most often for tees. I can't wait to see all of your makes for the Spring capsule!! Very excited! Have a great weekend!
I measured down 21” from the waist and then just continued the hip line from the waist until I hit that new hem line. Because the pattern angles out for the hip at that point, you just keep getting wider the further you go down. It was just enough!
Just ordered a printed version of the Concord T pattern! Love all of the tops you made. They fit you perfectly! Is there a little bit of waist shaping?
I love all these tees. It's good to be able to use the one pattern repeatedly. Good value for money. I always have trouble with stripes. I've stopped hanging the pre-wash fabric on the line to dry and am now drying stripey fabric flat (I don't have/need a drier) but there always seems to be a slight curve to the stripes near the ends and it makes it hard to match properly. It maybe due to the quality of the fabric? Any tips?
A lot of times with knit fabric, the selvages are really tight and can distort the fabric at the ends. I would recommend cutting the selvage off before you cut out. It’s much easier to get it on grain that way!
Sorry! I should have posted a link to that since I mentioned it. It’s the t-shirt in the Sew Over It work to weekend ebook. I just really like the shape of that neckline which is why I used it. Here is the link to the ebook: sewoverit.co.uk/product/my-capsule-wardrobe-work-to-weekend-ebook/

Yes to this!! Sewing is truly a superpower!
Just had to order the Concord T pattern (and now joined her club). I'm looking forward to making it. Thank you

Isn’t that the best feeling?!!
Thank for the review! I really like the dress you made!!!
Thank you! I love that dress as well!
Nice ! I will be ordering mine today to use as a T-shirt , tunic and T-shirt dress.
It’s great for all of those!
The off white tshirt with the celery color pants looks perfect. Such a good look its model worthy. Love the neckband width and look of it on the concord tshirt pattern
Thank you!

😂 oh good!
Yay Whitney! On the WAWAK cover!! Congratulations. Was so excited for you when I saw it ☺️. You look absolutely beautiful!
Thank you so much!
Thank you for sharing I just bought the pattern!
My pleasure!

Good for you! You’ll be so glad you got a head start on that!
Love them, especially the navy striped dress and t.
Thank you!
I was going to ask you why it would be good to have several t-shirt patterns. Of course, you explained it perfectly at the beginning. You’re an excellent sewist and mind reader!!
😂 oh good!
Love that dress with the cropped top. Bringing back what I wished I could wear as a kid in the 90s, looking at my stylish sister’s wardrobe ☺️
It is the 90s for sure! It’s bringing back a lot of nostalgia for me as well!
Just went over to the website. LOVE the size calculator !❤️
Isn’t that great?!?
An excellent fit! The Tees are great, but I really love the tee-shirt dress :)
Thank you! I love that one too!
The striped dress is so cute and suits you very well!
Thank you!
Congratulations Whitney!!! You look gorgeous on the cover of the WAWAK magazine! 💕
Thank you!
I love the concord as well. These look soo good on you. Im inspired to make a few
It’s such a great pattern. I think I’m going to make some for my daughter as well.
Cute T'S!! I especially love that cropped version in the green-beautiful color!! They all looked great! :+)
Thank you! My daughter is eyeing that cropped version. I have a feeling I’ll be making her a few as well 😂
Oh yes!! It is beautiful! I’m envious! It’s on my “to do” list!

You are preaching to the choir! I’m so happy she’s expanding her size range! Her patterns are going to be brilliant for my daughter as well!
The t shirt dress is perfection!
Thank you! This is the t-shirt dress I’ve been dying to have in my closet forever.
Wow! That “Edie” version of the Concord Tee looks fabulous on you. Loved them all tho. 👍🏻
Thank you! I love that neckline, but the Concord fits me so well, I’m glad I was able to mash them together 😂.
I love all your makes. I bought the pattern to use for my sister. She has a 50" upper bust and a 59" bust. Sounds like this pattern will work great!
I think it will be great!
Thank you, I took advantage of the coupon code.
Me too!
Oh good!

Thank you! I agree that this one could use a sway back adjustment. I’ll do that for the next one - and there will be more 😉.
Check out the cover of the May 2021 Wawak catalog - Whitney!!!!! Congrats!
Aww! Thank you!

You definitely need to try the new size range. It’s a “big boobs” game changer!
After the excellent fit, the best thing about Cashmerette, is the fact that they also offer tissue patterns (I didn’t even like cut and paste in kindergarten). They are pricey but worth it.
You are right! Their paper patterns are beautiful!
The t shirt dress is adorable. Thank you for sharing. Any suggestions for a sleeveless version?
Thank you! I think you could omit the sleeves and do just a bit of armhole tweaking (lower the armhole a touch and then coming in on the shoulder a touch) and you would have a fabulous tank!
Beautiful! I would love pointers from you for getting the cover stitching on the neckline to look nice. I’m never happy with mine.
Sure! I’m really wanting to do a coverstitch series this summer. Stay tuned!
Thank you! My specific issue is
Keeping the stitching a consistent distance From the seam line, if that makes sense. I did get an edge stitching foot for my machine but I’m unable to get an acceptable look.
that tshirt pattern looks exceptional 🤗i got my tshirt pattern
Oh good!

When buying my cotton/spandex, I usually make sure I’m picking things that are marked medium weight and I’m usually very happy with what shows up.
@@TomKatStitchery Thank you!!
Love tshirt dress on you. I did get the pattern and made first tshirt today. I would like to make a dress as well. How much did you widen the bottom?
I measured down 21” from the waist and then just continued the hip line from the waist until I hit that new hem line. Because the pattern angles out for the hip at that point, you just keep getting wider the further you go down. It was just enough!
Just ordered a printed version of the Concord T pattern! Love all of the tops you made. They fit you perfectly! Is there a little bit of waist shaping?
There is some waist shaping in this, in fact, a bit too much for my lack of waist 😂. I have to straitened it out a bit for my body.

@@TomKatStitchery that makes sense. I’ll give it a try.
What new bras did you get? I need new ones, getting so tired of these sags.😂😂
These are from Soma. They are all from the Stunning Support line. I bought two balconette ones and two full support ones. I love them!
I think I bought some strip this width from girl Charlee, if not I will look at Minerva
Girl Charlee is a great resource!
Ok great
😃
❤️❤️❤️
Where is this Edie pattern
It’s in the Sew Over It “Work to Weekend” e-book. Not sure if the individual pattern is available separately.
Not on sale, sigh.
Did you try the code in the description box?
While I appreciate the great fit you got I am not busty or full anywhere except my lockdown tummy so not interested in Cashmerette patterns.
❤️
