- Kate takes some of the agates from last week's video and creates some beautiful polished cabochons. Using the agate nodules' natural shapes, she uses her grinder/polisher to coax the shape and shine from the stones. From Malawi agates from Africa to peachy Moctezuma from Mexico, the semi-precious gemstones are transformed from raw nodules to glittering, glowing cabochons! Come along!
Agates come in an amazing variety of patterns and colors, and are found in every part of the world. In this video, I cut 21 different types and unlock their amazing beauty. From Africa to South America, North America to China, you'll enjoy the eye-popping hues, bands and swirls of these fantastic agates! Come along. :)

That last one was impressive! I actually prefer the free form cabs. It lets you keep the basic shape of the raw rock.
I think I do too. Rocks are kinda the POINT, right? :)
I love the look of these pieces when they had the stone around them. They are all so pretty.
I love that you keep them as natural as possible preserving the character of the stone. I especially love the one with the vug in the middle!
I do too!
You always choose the prettiest stones! I really like that you are leaving some of the raw stone. Brilliant!
Thank you so much 😀
They were all beautiful but the crazy lace and peach were my favorites!
I love the crazy lace mostly for the shape! But it sure is pretty. :)
I love the way you buzz the husk off the agates! Often some of the most beautiful details are just under the surface.
Thanks!
Great selection of agates Kate! I’d love to see a video of your collection and work space. Thanks for sharing!!
The problem with revealing my work space is that it is a MESS! :D
Nice. I loved the one with the hole.
Thanks! Me too. :)
Really enjoyed the process. I like that you want to keep part of the natural part of the stone. Beautiful 😍
Thank you so much!
Love the idea of letting the focks natural sape in them❤. All look amazing👍😍🇫🇮
Thank you - I like them too!
The transformation is remarkable! Thanks for sharing...
Love crazy lace agate!
Me too! :)

Неймовірно гарні агати особливо з персиковим відтінком.
Thank you for sharing the process of polishing. ❤😊❤
You are so welcome!
Good times ❤️
:)
So fun
Thank you!
Love them all, but crazy lace was my favorite along w/ Argentine agate. Beautiful work! Thank you for sharing your work. Hello to Jim & Kava. God bless
:) I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome! I freeform more than a template with cabbing, keeps the mind thinking .
Love the slabs you were using, nice variety..
Great job all around!
I am learning, but I think I agree.
The are Beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks!
wow, loved that one from Mexico with pink color inside. You had a berutiful pile of slabs there. I also liked that one at 6.52, very special pattern. And I liked that grey one at 10.14. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! :)
BEAUTIFUL!!!😍
Thank you!!
Thank you ❤❤❤
Велике спасибі. Слава Україні!
Have watched the grinding and polishing and like your idea of allowing the stone speak to you. Leaving the rough edging is attractive. Could see your lacy in a wrist wire wrap band. 😊
Ooh, that would be beautiful!
Will be waiting to see the finished product. Don't wear jewelry, but something like that is special.
Very nice!!!!
Thanks!!
Hi Katy, love your channel! I have a suggestion for you, we have the same cabbing machine and I see you use one of the side flaps of the tray to rest your arms on. What I did was get a pool noodle, cut the appropriate length and cut a slit in the bottom. That works wonderfully for a wrist rest.
Great idea! I have actually thought about using pipe insulation, but have been too lazy to do it. :D
I shaped and polished a slightly rectangular piece of petrified wood but left the back natural. I've kept that one as it is a favorite of mine. An ultasonic cleaner may help clean out crystal vugs. Thanks for sharing. Love your channel. ❤
Thanks so much!
First time seeing your videos new subscriber for sure I'm new at rockhounding but I've already got a saw and I've already cut many pieces I find in Arizona I've moved them and I agree I love natural shape with some natural edging
👍

Qual a marca dessa máquina de polir? Será que acho no Brasil?
É um rei do táxi. Me desculpe, não sei se eles vendem no Brasil.
Dopping wax is not epoxy wax. Dopping wax and epoxy are two totally different things.
