Hannah talking about the old man really hits home for me. I quit my job at a nursing home back in July. The most soul crushing aspect of it was the loneliness of the residents. Some literally had no families, and they became wards (incapacitated adult) of the gov't and were placed in our home. No one came for their birthday or for Xmas. 18:20 That's actually right. In earlier versions of the script, they were going to end the movie with Harry and Marv in jail, watching TV. True story: my late father would crack up just watching the trailer on TV. My sister came home from college for break and we took him to see it on opening weekend which was also Thanksgiving. It was packed! We were in the middle of a huge theater, surrounded by little boys. There was a row of kids in front of us that were having a birthday party (matching shirts) and one of them almost made me have a stroke. I'll come back to him. Anyway, you all know the movie, but when the third act started up, the whole theater exploded with laughter. It was friggin bedlam in there! However, no one laughed harder than my dad! He had the greatest laugh that ever existed! He was also very short and round. I was taller than both of my parents by the time I was 8 (I'm 5'4) by a lot. So this little boy from the party turned around, pointed at my dad, who was in his late 60's, and screamed, "even the big kid is laughing!" I almost died from laughing. My sister laugh-cried herself into a bloody nose. It was awesome! Flash forward to a year later when they released "Home Alone" on to video (for the kids out there, it could take years for a film to be released on to VHS back in the day) and my genius mother pre-ordered it for us. I have a weird story about getting Home Alone on video. I, too, was 8 when I first saw Home Alone in the theater (it was about a week before my 9th birthday), and, of course, I loved it and saw it in the theater, like, 3 other times. When it came out a year later, I- of course- asked for it for Christmas or my birthday (since they’re both in December). Both Christmas and my birthday came, and I didn’t get Home Alone. Mom explained what happened: my flaky aunt (my mom’s sister), who always had a bad excuse for everything (one year, around my birthday, her car got stolen. She didn’t give me a birthday card that year, and her excuse was that it was in her car when it got stolen) told my mom she’d get it for me. Then, my very reliable aunt and uncle (my dad’s brother), told my mom they’d get it for me, but my mom said “No, my sister’s already getting it for him.” After my birthday and Christmas passed and Aunt Kathy didn’t get me Home Alone, Mom asked her what the deal was, and she replied “Well, Bret is over at my house a lot [which I was at the time] so I figured I’d just buy and keep it, and he can watch it when he visits.” So this became a running joke with us: “Aunt Kathy is gonna get me a shirt for Christmas this year, but she’s gonna keep it at her house so I can wear it when I’m over there.” For some reason, I didn’t ask for it for Christmas or my birthday again and didn’t wind up owning it til I bought it from Suncoast my junior year of high school.

SUCH a great spot by Hannah that the girl counts herself twice - I'm just confused now how they end up with the "right" number since they also count the neighbours kid as Kevin?
Fun fact: Daniel stern, the guy that plays Marv, is scared of spiders, so when the spider is on his face, that's genuine fear. Also he's not actually screaming, so as to not scare the spider. He mimed it, and recorded his scream later.
Fun fact: you're incorrect. According to Stern himself he screamed for real since spiders can't really hear. He said he tried to copy the scream from Psycho.

9:20 : Fun fact about this scene that I learnt. The director of this movie didn't want to use a real girl in that picture as he didn't want to hurt any girl's feelings. So the art director's son volunteered to play the role as Buzz's GF in the photo, and put on a wig and dressed up as a girl and posed for that picture xD 26:56 : And for this scene, this guy had to mime screaming so that they wouldn't scare the tarantula off his face by screaming for real. The actor did an off-screen scream they recorded to put over this clip. So rewatch this scene volume off and you guys will get an idea of what filming this scene looked like xD
Omg. When Ash mentioned sliding on the stairs with a mattress, it reminded me of something similar I did when I was a kid and I can still remember it clear as day. School was closed due to the snow so I came up with the idea of placing both single mattresses from me and my brother's room on the stairs to slide down and have pillows at the bottom for safety. Boy, that was a fun time.
One of my absolute favorites. I can't think of a single kid my age at the time who DIDN'T go around the house playing these kind of tricks on each other with strings, little pranks, and booby traps. Not to the degree to inflict this type of serious harm, but it definitely opened the humor option of it when it came to playing around with your brothers and sisters.
You guys are so perfect, humble, funny and so real, very entertaining. You guys are just being yourselves and still so cute. I'm so addicted to your channel. Looking for your new reaction videos every day. Have a sweet Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year
Never thought that coming back after all of these years to watch this movie it would fuck me up. The bit at the end with the old man & his family, added in with your commentary is what did me in. My son who I raised on my own for the majority of his life started spending time with his mom when she decided to come back in to his life at the age of 16. He came home for the holidays after spending a month at our house. Everything seemed fine and I thought we were getting along because we've never had any serious issues between us, he was always well behaved in front of me and I've never even heard him swear before. He was home for 2 days and Christmas Eve morning I woke up to go to the store to get some last minute shopping done I told him to wake up and get ready because we're going to go get a haircuts and go outfit shopping for my grandma's wake when I got home. So he woke up and again everything seemed fine, we were joking around and everything that morning, so I want to the store. I was gone for about 45 minutes then came back to realize that he was gone and he robbed me for $22,000. At first I was in denial and thought something happened to him, but then when I called his phone and want to send him a message on Facebook I saw that I was blocked on both of them, which is when it hit me and that it was definitely him that robbed me. I found him finally after searching for 3 days all the way on this other side of the city in a bad neighborhood that his mom used to give him the freedom to go to by himself without me knowing the entire time that he was with her. But by then all the money was gone and the only thing he had left to show for it was a single $900 diamond earring that he bought with the cash. I tried to talk to him and ask him why he did what he did but I never got an answer. Being upset hurt and mad all at the same time I told him that his mom's going to come pick him up and that he will be living with her for now on. I told him if he ever decides that he's generally sorry and wants to make it right then call me until then it's better for both of us if we don't see each other right now. To be honest I just didn't trust myself with all the rage I was feeling. That was 3 years ago this past Christmas Eve and I still yet to hear from him and still never received an explanation or an apology. All I know is that it ruined holidays for me and I haven't celebrated one sense. The betrayal destroyed me sending me into a downward spiral that I still haven't pulled myself out of. I go 3-6 months at a time without talking to friends or family, I just sit in the dark alone with my evil thoughts and ignore their calls and knocks. I'd like to find a way out of this, but I just don't think I have a strength to. So yeah the last bit hit a little bit too close to home. Sorry about the long story
This is one of my favorite movies. Especially since my mom tells me, that when I was very much younger I used to look just like Kevin. I also appreciate the fact, that Hannah picked up on just how horrible of a mother, Kevin's mother is. But, if you think about it. How resourceful/mature Kevin was about the entire thing, he was going to grow up just fine!
She's not a horrible mother stfu 🤣 She spends the whole movie trying to make it home for Kevin and she's horrible just cus she didn't react exactly how you want when she punished Kevin? Foh
The moral for me always is: Never give up without a fight..and family is everything..you might not think so..but when it is gone you will realize it is the most precious thing you´ve got

I agree American christmases are super pretty to look at and there’s always stuff to do that’s festive. I don’t know why they went to Paris either. Also Ash unlocked a memory I forgot about. It was super satisfying watching the vhs feed into the vcr it was like omnomnom
Christmas in America is less festive to me compared to Christnas in Europe. Especially Germany and the Christmas Market in Strasbourg France is one of the best.
The greatest crime committed in this film. Is that Mac didn't get to enjoy his highly nutritional microwavable Mac N Cheese. I love that Macaulay and John Candy were reunited after Uncle Buck. Even if they didn't share a scene together, the heart was there.
He had no toothbrush because it was packed in his suitcase and his suitcase did go to Paris (unlike poor Kevin). Luggage was more priority to those parents than their actual kid, lol!
The editing on this one made me laugh! Hannah is on top of her game with the counting, wow! And Ash, don't be so dismissive of "curvy girl activists". Some of us watch your channel!
20:19 That carol is called Oh Holy Night, it's always been one of my favourites, here are the lyrics [Verse 1] O Holy night! The stars are brightly shining It is the night of our dear Savior's birth Long lay the world in sin and error pining 'Til He appears and the soul felt its worth A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn Fall on your knees; O hear the Angel voices! O night divine, O night when Christ was born O night, O Holy night, O night divine! [Verse 2] Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming Here come the Wise Men from Orient land The King of kings lay thus in lowly manger In all our trials born to be our friend He knows our need, to our weakness is no stranger Behold your King; before Him lowly bend Behold your King; before Him lowly bend [Verse 3] Truly He taught us to love one another; His law is love and His Gospel is Peace Chains shall He break, for the slave is our brother And in His name, all oppression shall cease Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we Let all within us Praise His Holy name Christ is the Lord; O praise His name forever! His power and glory evermore proclaim His power and glory evermore proclaim
Joe Pesci filmed this right after Goodfellas so he kept a swear jar on set to keep things family friendly. For a split second when Peter is throwing away the soiled napkins you can see a passport and AA ticket with "Kevin" written on it. That's why they didn't notice an extra ticket or passport. The Angels With Filthy Souls movie was just that scene and it was made for the movie. Blockbuster even had signs saying it was fake. The name is a take on the James Cagney gangster flick Angels With Dirty Faces. If you thought the slapstick in this one was good, watch the sequel. Kevin goes full Jigsaw and the crooks go full Wile E. Coyote.

SUCH a great spot by Hannah that the girl counts herself twice - I'm just confused now how they end up with the "right" number since they also count the neighbours kid as Kevin?
ok... new respect for Hannah. ive watched this a million times and never noticed she counts herself twice. impressive
home alone 1 and 2 are classics
if y guys haven't ever seen "cool runnings" u should. that's 100% a feel good movie that's right up your street
Hannah needs to change her channel to Definitely Trust Hannah with those eagle eyes!!
Fun fact: Daniel stern, the guy that plays Marv, is scared of spiders, so when the spider is on his face, that's genuine fear.
Also he's not actually screaming, so as to not scare the spider. He mimed it, and recorded his scream later.
his scream always makes me laugh
Fun fact: you're incorrect. According to Stern himself he screamed for real since spiders can't really hear. He said he tried to copy the scream from Psycho.

Listening to your banter is funnier and more entertaining than most of the comedies you two watch.
You guys are awesome … and Hannah was SO SHARP - almost every year I’m watching this movie round Christmas time and thanks to Hannah it is the first time I realized that Heather indeed counted herself twice … EXCELLENT done, Hannah !!! … VHS … oooh yes … what good old times those were (I want them back). And something else - the best place to be for Christmas is Russia - trust me. In this movie, my most favorite scene was Kevin’s talk with the old neighbor at the church - so much light in that old man’s face … just brilliant. I can’t keep from saying this again - the best reaction to The Green Mile, was yours … thanks again.
Looking forward to your next reaction. Salutations from Romania …
Kay my brother!! Made our night my man..thank you ❤️
@@justtrustash I am happy to hear that, so it is me who should thank you. It is Christmas time, when the most precious gift is probably having warmth and light in your soul and a humble way for that is to watch these (if you haven’t already, that is) … they are a few minutes each, so together they are much shorter than a quarter of a movie, but the value within is huge. If you are going to react to these and record your reaction (which I would love to see), don’t let Hannah wear any makeup.

I never noticed she counted herself twice until now holy shit that’s such a blink and you’ll miss it moment 😂🤯
I honestly don't know how someone could go this long without seeing this movie it's one of the most syndicated movies on tv and it gets played on tv every Christmas in the US.

Having both ash AND hannah on the screen is just too much beauty 😭💖💜💙
What a bloody compliment mate..mad love to you! Hope you have a banging holiday ❤️
9:20 : Fun fact about this scene that I learnt. The director of this movie didn't want to use a real girl in that picture as he didn't want to hurt any girl's feelings. So the art director's son volunteered to play the role as Buzz's GF in the photo, and put on a wig and dressed up as a girl and posed for that picture xD
26:56 : And for this scene, this guy had to mime screaming so that they wouldn't scare the tarantula off his face by screaming for real.
Hana’s eye for the subtle things in shows and movies is amazing
I remember taking my sister as kids and this becoming her favorite movie.
You need to see The Good Son with Macaulay Culkin in it.
Hannah, have you watched It’s a Wonderful Life? Might be a good film to do for your channel. (I love Ash, but I can’t see him sitting still for a very old movie 😂)
You two are an absolute joy to watch. When Hannah said she couldn’t bring herself to delete the poo picture I just cracked up. One of the healthiest relationships I’ve seen.
Don't forget to watch "Home alone 2. Lost in New York" too. It's even more fun
My favorite one!
I always preferred the second one as a kid and still now but my wife likes the first more 😞
Damn you guys make the reactions so much more entertaining. Great duo holyyyyy
Appreciate you mate ❤️
I've been watching y'all for months now and you two are just hilarious! I just lost my grandmother and watching you two has been making me laugh. Much love to y'all!!
Old men, huh? I think Hannah would love Grumpy Old Men. Covers several holidays too.
I swear Hannah missed her calling being a detective, that girl does not miss a thing!!
I agree American christmases are super pretty to look at and there’s always stuff to do that’s festive. I don’t know why they went to Paris either.
Also Ash unlocked a memory I forgot about. It was super satisfying watching the vhs feed into the vcr it was like omnomnom
The second movie is a testament to that. No wonder Ash loves it more
Maybe because it’s beautiful in Paris too.
Where is Home Alone 2????
Iconic movie. I first saw it on cinema as a kid and than numerous times on VHS. It brings back so many memories 😌.
Hannah said "ITS THEM AGAINST HIM" and i am here like no Hun its him against them🤣🤣
You need to watch more Pesci movies, like Casino, Goodfellas and My Cousin Vinny.
He had no toothbrush because it was packed in his suitcase and his suitcase did go to Paris (unlike poor Kevin). Luggage was more priority to those parents than their actual kid, lol!
20:25 Oh Holy Night is also a Christmas song lol and better in my opinion😛
The editing on this one made me laugh! Hannah is on top of her game with the counting, wow! And Ash, don't be so dismissive of "curvy girl activists". Some of us watch your channel!
Oiii it’s all love you legend ❤️❤️
@@justtrustash lol i know you just joke around, i love the two of you to bits
20:19 That carol is called Oh Holy Night, it's always been one of my favourites, here are the lyrics
[Verse 1]
O Holy night! The stars are brightly shining
It is the night of our dear Savior's birth
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
'Til He appears and the soul felt its worth
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn
Fall on your knees; O hear the Angel voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born
O night, O Holy night, O night divine!
[Verse 2]
Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand
So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming
Here come the Wise Men from Orient land
The King of kings lay thus in lowly manger
In all our trials born to be our friend
He knows our need, to our weakness is no stranger
Behold your King; before Him lowly bend
Behold your King; before Him lowly bend
[Verse 3]
Truly He taught us to love one another;
His law is love and His Gospel is Peace
Chains shall He break, for the slave is our brother
And in His name, all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we
Let all within us Praise His Holy name
Christ is the Lord; O praise His name forever!
His power and glory evermore proclaim
His power and glory evermore proclaim
Good reaction. Did Ash sing Silent Night as Michael Jackson? Laughed so hard at Hannah’s reaction to that alone.
😂😂😂😂
I used to work across the street from that house in Winnetka, Illinois.
Love hannah's beautiful heart!!❤ the both of you are so perfect for each other!!😅🤣😂😉😊😇👏🙌👍❤🎉
This was an integral part of my childhood and it was a great pre-christmas present! Thank you Hannah and Ash!!
Coyote.

Well now I can't wait for you two to watch Home Alone 2!! Make it happen Ash...
Dude , I've seen this movies thousands of times and I've never noticed that girl count herself twice. You rock Hannah!
Fun fact: when Kevin finds the photo of Buzz’s girlfriend and makes a grossed out face, the director of the movie didn’t want to be hurtful and use a photo of an actual little girl so he instead used a picture of his son in a wig
Absolute classic.. the score by John Williams is just brilliant
The one thing I love about hearing Christmas songs is remembering which ones were played in the home alone movies 😅 other than that, they're honestly annoying. Especially at my workplace lol. Love the home alone movies! Nostalgia for days! Please check out the sequel!! It's my favorite!
don't share the aux with me then. I listen to xmas music all year round. love love love it.
The song in the church is "O Holy Night" and the Home Alone version is absolutely the best version of that song you'll ever hear. Talk about Feel Good.
Ash. Listen to the woman😂😂
And a very happy, merry and healthy Xmas to you and Hannah.
And all the family🎄🎄🎄
Ash actually the "girl" in the movie that is suppose to be Buzz's girlfriend is not a girl but a boy dress like one, because the producers thought would be unkind to put a girl in that role of just to be insulted.
7:00 I've watched this movie multiple times back to front and never noticed that until hannah mentioned it. That's some great vision.
Even cinemasins missed that

LUL, parents in the 80's/90's in America were a lot less focused on feelings and togetherness. We learned to take care of ourselves a lot of the time :P
Awesome eagle vision from Hannah plus I found it very sweet about her comments about older gentleman being alone especially at Christmas
Die Hard, another iconic Christmas movie...☃️❄️🎄
I cannot get enough of the first two Home Alone movies! I love them
That was a hell of a catch - she DID count herself twice. I’ve never heard anyone point that out before.
#2 Was my dad's favorite, everytime i see it i laugh and cry cuz it reminds me of him.Oh i just remembered Pigeon Lady,im pretty sure Hannah will cry also. Can't wait for #2

This is a Christmas time must!!! It’s September 2nd and I’m already watching lol Love this time of year. You guys are great!!!
The scene that had a spider on the face used a real spider. The actor had to pretend to scream without making a noise and the scream was added later.
This was the best editing you’ve done to date 😂 I had such a good time with y’all
It was the 90s. That's how siblings talked to each other and parents just let it slide. Some parents even talked to their kids like that.
The best comedies were made in the 2000s. *OLD SCHOOL* (2003), *SCHOOL OF ROCK* (2003), *THE 40-YEAR-OLD VIRGIN* (2005), *THE WEDDING CRASHERS* (2005) and *KICKING & SCREAMING* (2005). All these comedies are great!
OMG, in my post above, I forgot *BAD SANTA* (2003). I guess I won't be having any presents this Christmas 😁
7:31 Home Alone was released in 1990.
Buzz' gf was the directors son in a wig. He did it so big girls didn't feel bad...or cancel the movie 😂
That edit (you know the one) was so good
They singin " oh holy night " 😀😀😀
