Yea, the bracket I made is too long, I may try to bend the ride a little more to get it to mount higher on that bracket then the throw on the shifter would be longer
I know this video is over 2 years old and you may not monitor replies here. Just trying to find out any mods you had to do to the rear end. If I recall you said it was from an 05 mustang. I am about to start on my 66 coupe and I like the set up you have here.
I’m here for you! I got a rear end from a 64-66 V8, nothing special really. It was a direct bolt in replacement. I have a bunch of videos on the whole process. Enjoy!
I would swap the arm on the trans to a proper length one so your shifter will be in the right spot, then you can get rid of your flat bar setup
It hits the crossmember if it’s any higher. The best solution is get a cable shifter
@@LowBoostFilms the level on the trans should be replaced or flipped 180°
So the linkage will be above the crossmember
@@Projectblackkjack if I have it above the crossmember I can’t get it to shift into 1st gear it gets stuck
Get on some of the Mustang forums, and you will see very nice ways to align your shifter as well as the
AOD trottle pressure linkage.
Yea they were helpful. I figured it out
Any insight into how to get a better fit / alignment on the gear selector without having to change the original look?

What rear gear ratio are you going to run.
It’s got like a 2.93 in there now which will be a dog. Probably 3.73 since this has overdrive for cruising
