- After finding this video removed due to "terms of use violation", I felt the need to reupload it. This video includes all parts of this webster dictionary skit. Sorry for terrible quality, this was the only copy of the video I could find.
It's so amazing how relevant this sketch still is in 2021
Or 2023
Forget the Weather channel if I wanna know whats going to happening in the future I look to MadTv
This is "literally" the second definition of literally now... tragic irony
You don't have to quote it if you're using it in the right context.
Yeah, I don't _have_ to.... but I did.
Sorry, I'm just saying kudos for actually using it right. :P
+1 Because I agree. /just kidding!
Xzamilloh ad
This sketch is truly ahead of its time!
That sandwich was too much drama lol
I literally just came here from watching the Madtv "literally" sketches....
LITERALLY
This is basically urban dictionary
A woman considered attractive for everything but her face. Lol
Sarah Jessica Parker
@@willg4802 ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT!!
Poor Denise
"that sandwich was too much drama"
"Why Glen. The English language is so beautiful. Why must we rape it?!" Made me "LOL" so hard.
I love the way she reads the definition. That pause.
This is literally an amazing sketch.
freal
Went on a recent couples date with a new set of neighbors a couple of houses over. The wife used the verb form of "LOL" as mentioned here. I have since changed our phone number and had the house radically redesigned to look like an empty lot.
mtWHITE100 I try!
Oh, man! That made me LOL f'real, bro. xD
ROFLMAO!
🤣🤣🤣
Lol.. had to come here after I learnt that the actual dictionary now includes the words twerking, food baby, selfie... and and of course "Literally" now has the exact same changes as mentioned in this skit.
LMAO MadTv was real shit
All words that have no societal value except selfish vanity and ignorance.
Hilarious
Wow. Are you totes f'real, bitch? About the word "literally"?
It's 7 am and I'm barely going to bed. If what you're saying is true I hope I don't remember to check by the time I wake up.
MadTV and it’s predictive programming
This skit is too funny!!! Our society is moving towards this foolishness at breakneck speed.
I'm from this future 2019. LMAO! LITERALLY...
"But it was totes paint thinner" - I'm dying. 🤣
Literally?
My favorite line in the skit: past tense of the new verb "bro" - "Will and Chad brew up together."
Are yall aware that literally was changed in the dictionary in real life for that exact reason! I swear madtv has a time machine
Bring this show back
new word last year:
😂
Haha true
As an avid reader, this made me feel physical pain.
Literally.
LOL bitch
And this is why MAD TV was so great
Drama encompasses even the mundane
WOW they actually know whats the future!!!
This sketch proves that MADtv was on its way back to being great. It's a shame that it was cancelled and that SNL is still on when it's just not funny.
I don't understand why this was taken off before when there are so many other MADtv sketches still up.
One of my favorite sketches
9 years old! Still holds up
That sandwich was too much drama 😂
It's been a few years and "totes" never took.
Man even without the scrpit they r funnier than SNL
I.. LITERALLY
Go away, I'm 'batin'.
Nostalchiq best line ever said in a movie lmfao. Idiocracy was really funny

You don't say
Denise? did Key meant De Nice?
If this continues, I'm moving to Finland where they speak proper English
As in "Vee need mo pava." (We need more power. Mika Hakkinen, F1 World Champion 1998-1999)
There goes another drunkard. In Finland they speak FINLISH #smh
Phoebe Congloebe LOL, then go move to Finland! Good luck.
@@jakubkrcma "Vii niid moo pauva"*
That last bit was even funnier then the sketch itself, which was also pretty funny; they were good that using bad phonics.
"They BREW up together"
"oh god"
the ending was so wicked i literally loled to death xD
too bad you did not.
this is the best episode of anything ever made...
I was there for this taping, so funny
I ♥ MadTV
Add the word "deadass"
Badass
Deadass
Y'all got any more of those pixels?
I literally died watching this skit. Lol
it wasn't comedy. it was prophecy
I literally died watching this.
Totes!
LOL
5:07 Now replaced with any of these in 2021: ❤️💖💗💓💞💟💝💘
You guys heard that F-bomb was added to the dictionary........
Well, yeah.
"Butterface"
Hey, that's me! :D
Wait... I shouldn't be this happy, should I?
Lol, he said neglect and the House advertisement popped up xD
"a woman considered attractive for everything... but-her-face" LOL best line
I need an updated version of this XD
I'm moving to France!
" And with that, I'm moving to France. " hilarious !!
Mad TV predicted the future.
the pain in her eyes and voice tho
The moving out of the country for normalcy part was also prescient.
damn this was some real who knew they could predict the future
They should make an 2013 updated version
Not really, all of this is still relevant 6 years in the future.
so awesome
People don’t realize these internet abbreviations been around since the 90s. Maybe even sooner, that’s just when i remember it.
All you Gen z out there thank your parents for inventing the cool language you use today.
LOL I love this.
lol the extra was great
I'm literally dying of laughter
Denise disliked this video.
this is literally true
Thanks Urban Dictionary.
Poor Denisse 😂😂
Musica Haha I was looking for this comment. Thank you!
I lmao when she said "Detroit" lol
I remember when we use this words back in the day. We still use some of them now.
If I had a dollar for every pixel in this video, I'd have 50 cents.
"You only live once" refers to only having one life to live.
This very funny skit inspired me to see if dictionaries now include "potato" as an adjective referring to poor video quality. ;) Not yet. knowyourmeme has a good article on it though.
Haha! That last improv'd bit--totes ridonkulous
So true....they would have a time now if they updated this list😆
Literally now also is LITTERALLY.
Someone watched a Monty Python.
Denise was my girlfriend in college...
You mean De-nice?
Psychosmurf5471 You can spell it either way.
Lois Griffin nonono its De-nice
This is what the Urban Dictionary is for.
I’m impressive they don’t laugh during the whole sketch, how did they do that?🤣😂🤣
@tjoceasde The heart symbol is now in a few dictionaries too. Pretty soon this sketch will be accurate.
i just about LOLLED :P HAHA
Was this before urban dictionary? Lol the beginning of it all
you poor dear
Krista looks like she is about to cry
that sandwich was too much drama
What *non tech* words arrived between 1995 and 2005 that are still here?
Everything looks good butter-face.
This would have been a great recurring sketch, if it was given the chance. If the show had lasted up until today, these characters would blow a gasket after hearing all the new abbreviations and slang now used.
5:51 "lol lol lol lol" hahaha
Saddly this is so true, argh.
This is unfortunately all to accurate now. Lmao
whoa
@jgma It's from 12 Season 14 - episode 14 (according to my Teevo).
never heard "ship" used like that before
anyone noticed he spelled literally wrong? it was spelled litterally haha
@Joe Andujar
"thirsty" - adj.
1.) Desperate
2.) Eager to get some of dat *thang*
The poor announcers😂😂😂😂 their faces hahahaha
For real we thought denise was drinking vodka but it was totes paint thinner during the funeral i just about lol'd
The "literally" was literally correct, English is dead rip
