1. They have an uncanny ability to ooze upward into your lap whilst being told no... 2. They can go from Jester to Protector in half a heartbeat. 3. They are Omniscient and Omnipresent. 4. Boxers have The 3 I's : Instinct Intuition Intelligence 5. They will get between you and strangers, or be ever at your side - your lap if you let them - or your furniture if not. 6. If there's trouble, they will stand foursquare against it separating new from the danger or perceived threat . 7. They will bark warning, Advance if a foe does, Escalate if need be and in the exact measure as does the foe. 8. They may try to herd your children; they're Cattle dogs, too. 9. They will stamp out a cigarette tossed near a child or elder. Or an ember that pops out from your fieplace. 10. Boxers will even protect known guests in your home, should someone shout or express anger near them... The list goes on and on ... And the Eleventy-seventh reason is they are what I call a "Chill but Will" dog. They will chill when it's time to chill, and they are willing to do ANYTHING for you, no matter what - unless of course you're mean to them or think striking them is a way to "correct" them. It doesn't; they don't think like we do; they don't know what they did wrong; all they know is the hand that feeds them and loves them is hitting them right now; So they become submissive and people think they act like they're sorry...they don't know what they did, or why something was wrong if it's happened five seconds ago or longer but they want everything to be right again like it was before you had your fit and hit them. That's the way they think .They live in the moment.
I am from a family that has loved boxers for generations, my dad had boxers since he was a kid, his dad loved them too, i had boxers since the day i was born. I can happily say your reasons are wonderful and my own current boxer has already saved my life, she alerted me to a break in and i took care of that which she also stood by my side ready to attack. She's a bit crazy and holy bejeezus back in the day she was a ball of fur and muscles. I'll probably keep having boxers and probably another gentle breeds but I can say that they're AMAZING family dogs and will defend the children when necessary. Just make sure you keep kids away if you have bred your boxers because unless they know the kids well and the dogs are well trained some cases have become a bit too playful for comfort to put it in a certain way. The attitude of your boxer at the end of the day will depend on how you raise them just like any other dog, heck my grandma's boxers are absolute babies even today and they're like 7 years old and will cry if you don't give them love.
Add bread my female boxer twice. I surely wish I had not is there some beautiful boxers in animal shelters I've seen them. And you are right they are extremely intelligent.😊
I found a stray I had to check for chips no advertisements anything so we have been together for some time now he is very protective playful and fun. He's white with long ears which I would never consider having ears dots and tails cropped again I'm sorry I ever did that and there are some beautiful boxers and animal shelters. Yes I've been guilty in the past of buying boxers but I was blessed have found one. He is white brindle spots on him but the main color is white. Beautiful black muzzle big black eyes almost black I was asking my veterinarian what breed he was he said he was a pit bull mix I do not see that whatsoever. Hey love children I mean he absolutely adores children he brings me toys all boxes bring you toys when you get back to the house I think from shopping or picking up groceries. After vacation wherever they are so affectionate and extremely smart. Mine is full of Sass and vinegar and I love IT. Yes he's energetic but what is wrong with that because we need to get out of the house. I'm taking him hiking soon and I'm not worried about anybody bothering me with him. The tale is for balance the ears are for being able to hear far off so don't dock and crap meaning docking the tail and cropping the ears you just messing up. If God did not mean for them to have that he would have already taken it off now I know some are born that way with their tails docked already. But the ears are not cropped when they are born. I am just really curious to see if this is a miniature boxer he's absolutely gorgeous his muzzle is black and he has beautiful cut features I would say is weight is about 44 to 45 lb. And yes his main color is white with brindle and black spots on him he is beautiful ❤️ I guess you can tell I love him.😊❤❤
I have one boxer and he was 100% pure boxer and he weighed 110 lb he too was gorgeous but I've never seen a ugly animal only those who are abused and neglected and not cared for it's so sad 😭
My 91 lb boxer has been such a wonderful dog we have had Caesar for six and a half years now we just recently found out he has a sarcoma low-grade on his leg and the vet wants to amputate to save Caesar's life this will be one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make in my entire life but this dog means the world to me I don't care how much it cost for the surgery I just want my baby to be okay boxers are one of the best breeds you could ever own! They just want to give you pure love!
My boxer "Spike" passed away over the summer... I got him when he was 6 weeks old when I was 8 years old. He was and still is my best friend and I miss him every day dearly. He died due to a tumor we were told by the vet there was nothing we could do besides surgery that would kill him, so we didn't go through with the surgery. My family and I weren't knowing of boxers health conditions before this or ever which I wish we were because he'd still be with me. Thanks to your channel I now know everything there is to know about boxer breeds as a whole, including what to do about their health conditions before it's too late. I'm hoping to get another boxer soon, they're the greatest dog breed in the world, but Spike is so irreplaceable.
