That actually looks pretty good! Don’t really need tortillas. Camping location is stunning. The blue color is unbelievably beautiful. Great camera work! My wife was in So-Cal last week and all she could talk about was the great Asian restaurants and how many Asian people were there. Thanks again for sharing your experiences.
Thank you for watching Doug 🤗 And yes So Cal has so many good Asian restaurants. Even I felt strange when driving in Little Saigon to get food for my mother in law who lives nearby. Lol We rarely see Asians at where we live. 😂😂
Great video and thanks for sharing this location! We had heard of it but never seen -now its on our must go list! Love the meals you prepare too - they look scrumptious ! Great camera work and story too - really enjoyed watching!
Really enjoyed seeing you guys again. Your beach camping videos are what keeps me determibed to get ny grech rv with that layout. What could be better than having the back opened to fhe sea or nature.
Thank for watching DW! The layout was our first priority when we were looking for the class B. We love that we could open the back door and have a open view to ocean or nature. 🤗
@@rvlifediy Thank you. She was only 10.5 years old and has never been sick before until beginning of the year. Your dog is living his long best life that is amazing! 🤗
Thank you for watching! We are too old to roughen it like we did when the kids were young in a tent. 🤗It was fun camping in a tent though. Enjoy your time at Jalama Beach! 😎😎
I parked next you last week Saturday at huntington beach. I was the one on a winnebago solis. Was that an airstream meet up? There were for other rigs like yours.
Hi Rey, yes I saw your Winnebago Solis next to us. We had an impromptu meetup with some other AI19 owners on the Facebook group who live in Southern CA. We got to see each other’s different upgrades. 🤗
Wow! Amazing spot right on the beach! Great idea to use the Lavabox as a backup with the wind. That's one benefit of an induction burner too. That backdrop is a perfect view. Did you book it through ReserveCalifornia? Or a local county site?
We love this campsite! Actually right on the beach camping. 🤗We should have bought our induction cook top it would have worked better. Lol I booked it through Santa Barbara County Parks since it is not a state park but a county park campground.
Hi Nick, thanks for watching ! 🤗 I booked the site 6 months ago and it was the only one beach front available at that time. Maybe you can keep checking once In awhile
You two are adorable!lol You cooked the steak perfectly under quite challenging conditions 🧐 I just bought the same watermelon hard seltzer yesterday 😂 What’s the nightly rate and availability where you camped? I would think that you’d have to reserve far ahead of your stay but not sure how it is right now.
Thank you, that is very sweet of you! I made the reservation 6 months ago because I wanted a beach front campsite. It’s $45 per night with $10 reservation fee. The partial hook up campsite is $60/night but it is not beach front. There are some first come first serve campsites too on the top. The view is also beautiful up there.
Hi Jim, there was 1 empty site when we went to that section to talk to another AI19 owner but I wasn’t sure if it was really empty or they just left to explore. That was around noon time.
Hi Jose, it is Lavabox. It’s a compact firepit and we bought the separate metal stand that could be use as a stand under the Lavabox or folded over the top as the grill so we can place the cast iron pan over it to cook also. One drawback when cooking is that it produces soots so we have wipe the soots off the bottom of our pan after cooking. The campsite fee is actually not expensive, it is less expensive than some other beach front sites in other beachfront campgrounds.
@@BamBamRVAdventures Thx for the info. I think the campsites are close to $60 a night if I'm not mistaken. National Parks usually charge you half of that. Yosemite Valley is a popular spot for people to stay and nowhere near that price. I thought the reason the state runs these campgrounds is so that they remain affordable. That's just my opinion though. I'll check that lavabox of yours out.
@@BamBamRVAdventures Probably true. I stayed in Mendocino before at the beach (a getaway for rich people from San Francisco) and didn't remotely pay that much. I think it's Santa Barbara just setting the prices. They are not part of the state parks. Btw, is there a train that runs by the Jalama campground? Many campgrounds I don't go to bc of the Amtrak running past them.
@@Jose-sy1je we heard it a few times during the day only but not disruptive at all. The beachfront campsites are further from the track so maybe that’ll why it not loud at all.
There is signal if your campsite is near the cell tower. There are a few around the park. Our campsite didn’t get good signal. It was sporadically so we walked toward the cell tower to text when we needed to. Lol
Good video! The beautiful blue creature is the Portuguese man-o'-war. It is venomous, deliver a painful sting powerful enough to kill fish and sometime humans.
I love jalama. I camped there many times in 60s, 70s and 80s....surf, fish, hike.
Thank you for watching Matt. I saw many surfers there too. Such a beautiful place.
We loved our stay here! It was calm two days and super windy the last day. The burgers were great at the restaurant!
Very nice and scenic place like you told us. We are so glad we were able to go this year since we canceled last year due to high wind. 🤗
