Thanks for the in depth walk around/walk thru tour. We are currently contemplating changing out our Airstream globetrotter to a 24GT for the convenience and mobility that class B’s offer and really appreciate these types of videos.
@@ZuluOneZero Thanks for watching. I am glad you found the video helpful. The 24GT provides ample storage space and bigger fridge and freezer plus the added convenience and mobility. 🤗
Great job on the comparisons. It's such a dilemma choosing between the the 19 and the 24. The parking and access to certain National Parks because of the size of the 24 makes it hard to go with the 24.The 19 is so easy to get around with anywhere. The storage in the 24 and the counter space is awesome in the 24. That makes the choosing between the 2 so painful. Thanks for sharing your perspectives. Love watching your videos. You are always putting out great ideas & giving us great content.
Thank you Ara! My brother had a hard time deciding between the two also. I took over his 19 order when he decided to buy the 24. If you plan to have passengers with you then the air ride suspension is great on the 24.,On our 19 the ride in the back is so much more bumpy compared to the 24.
Ohhhhh. Wow. I can't believe it. It's so beautiful. Your sister-in-law reminds me of my high school classmate. i miss her so much. Her name was Maryann. She was amazing. i hope she's okay. But your video is one of the best I have ever seen on the Airstream. It gives you the perspective of two owners and their experience. The Grand Lounge is an amazing vehicle. The light is gold inside. Wow. And you turn it on the Firefly. I love how you did that with a press of a button. There are a lot of tidbits here I will come back to many times over again in order to try to really understand the work that was done. I can't believe it. WOWOWOWOW. Bam Bam and Elmo.
Thank you so much Ephraim! I hope you will get to see your old friend Maryann again soon. We like the firefly system more compared to our CZone. Such a hassle to have to get up and turn off the lights at the control panel once we are already in bed.
@@BamBamRVAdventures The 19 has the nicer bed. Does your sister have the "custom" mattress topper? Does it eliminate the lumps? I know she said her microwave had convection, but in other videos people said no convection. Too bad, because they're nice with the pull out drawer. Great video! Thanks for sharing.
@@zedmoe Thank you! My sister in law bought a 3 “ king memory foam topper from Costco and cut it in half to store in the 2 laundry bags that she also bought from Costco. It completely eliminates the lumps on the seat. Their 24 GT is the 2021 model so it still has the convection/microwave oven. I think the 2022 model only has microwave.
@@BamBamRVAdventures Best of both world's then. Contoured seating, plus larger bed. Good to know. Hers might ride nicer on the rear dual tires, but I'd still prefer the shorter length, for the convenience that comes with it. Still, they're both great looking rides. 😁 👍🏻 Love your videos. Nice to see you get out and enjoy yourselves. Cheers!
@@zedmoe Thank you for watching our videos. The ride in the back of the GT24 is much better than ours because of the air suspension. My brother said it is harder to make a U turn at some intersections so he just had to turn left and turn back out since the van is too long.

Also , I just realized that there is no ducted air for this high end models. I had non ducted air in two other coach’s. They were loud. How is it in these models. I know coach house in Florida make a Mercedes Arriva just like this but has a rear full dry bath and ducted air and slightly lower in price but it’s very high end quality.
Airstream makes ducted AC in the Atlas. Wish they could make it for the interstate. We have Dometic AC and it’s loud. Some people upgraded to a quieter AC with Advance RV. Too bad they are so far away from us.
We love all you video’s and your Interstate 19! We have ordered a 24GT like your sister in law and am interested in where she purchased the mattress topper and the storage bags.
Thank you Gerry! She ordered the King size 3” mattress topper and storage bags from Costco. The bags are laundry bags but they fit half of the king size mattress topper in each.
Hahaha I know right. My brother was supposed to give us the outside walk around but he had a tennis game so it was a last minute act for my sister in law.
Thank you Paul, we had a fold down faucet in our previous class B also. Even though I didn’t like the look of the faucet itself I like the clean look of the counter top. I wonder if you can drill a hole in the counter top and change it to this new type of faucet?
I heard you say that you don't cook. I don't cook either. So I was wondering if you ate out a lot at restaurants, and if so, do you unplug and drive into town when finding a restaurant? Or do you tow a vehicle?
Hi Rochelle, we only cook at campgrounds that are not near a big town. When we camp near a big town then we just look at Yelp to find some local restaurants to try their food. We usually do dry camping so we don’t have to unplug anything and just take off for dinner in our van. One time we came back after dinner to find out a family had taken over our campsite since the neighbors told them we left. We just let them stay the night and we park our van next to their van. Now we know to put a table cover on the table to look like someone is still occupying the campsite and I bought a campsite flag to put on the ground to make it looks occupied. Lol
@@BamBamRVAdventures wow fresh water is not bad. The gray water could use a little improvement and the black water needs major improvement. It would give me tank anxiety lol. Love the macerator system. I couldn't do without that either.
It's ironic the paper towel holder is in the trash can drawer. The trash will spread germs and odor to the paper towels. I'd relocate the paper towel holder somewhere else. Thank you for replies!
This was very informative!! Thank you 😀 Quick question - I only saw one 110V outlet on your van (on the outside) - is that the only one? In particular, is there anywhere inside to plug in a small 110V coffee maker? I can't live without my coffee!! ☕
Thank you Adam. 🤗 There are a few more 110V outlets inside. Since the van only has 1000 watts inverter you have to make sure your coffee maker is under 1000 watts. We have an espresso coffee maker and it takes way more than 1000 watts so we turn on the generator then plug the machine into the 110 V outlet for it to work. We can’t live without our coffee either. 😂
Love the 24' however, it's hard to park like the 19'. With the 19 you can park anywhere in the streets, malls, shopping centers. 24' is going to be hard to parallel park on the streets and you have to park really far back in malls and or shopping centers (you know, shopping trips when you travel 😉😉😉😉😉😉).
Yep that’s the reason why we picked the 19 for ease of parking. My brother also said it’s hard to make a complete U turn. Sometimes he had to just turn into that street then make a U turn further down.
That’s exactly why I am looking at both as well as the Atlas. I’m getting close to retirement so the Atlas would be great but my current lifestyle includes biking somewhere in New England for the weekend so the 19’ is probably the smartest choice. I’m just not known for making the smartest choices! We go to Manhattan a lot to bike so the 19’ is definitely the best option but…….
@@paulkloiber813 my brother was looking at Atlas, 19 and 24 also. He loves the interior and dry bath of the Atlas. His wife wants to be able so see out of the back when the back doors are open. Their primary usage is more like us which is going to visit places, hiking, biking, laying in bed watching the sunsets with the back doors open. He is a very good driver and don’t mind maneuvering a longer rig so they decided on the 24. We love all the extra storage spaces but couldn’t maneuver anything longer than the 19. Lol
19 or 24? 24 all day, any day. Very nice and spacious. So, how much does the 24 cost? Ohhhh 😲. Ah, changed my mind. …….the 19 please. 😁🤣 Great differences video!!! 👍 Maybe I can show this to my wife and she will change her mind about RV / Van lifestyle. Thank you. Cheers 🥂

Both are beautiful. I like the 19 a bit better, fits in a regular parking spot so I would use it around town more.
Same for us with the ease of parking is the main reason why we choose the 19. 🤗
Beautiful! I love all of the extra space but I think I would prefer to 'rough it' in the 19 to gain manoeuvrability.
Thank you Amy! That was our thinking too. Have to be a minimalist in the 19. Lol
