So your husband has a beautiful house, RV, Corvette, and on top of everything he has a beautiful wife that can change out the toilets and dump the tanks! Your husband is a lucky man! You should remind him every day🙂🙂
@@vincentesq Vincent if you post a video of your wife changing the oil I will give you a fine cigar and bottle of Scotch some day when our paths cross!🙂
@@BamBamRVAdventures we also watched your video from Solvang. When we were going to college, in Santa Barbara, we used to go to Anderson pea soup house. In a couple of days we leave on a two month adventure in our LTV. Take care🙂
And once again you taught me another one. Before I forget I’m putting a stop it at the end going into RV fresh water Gheeze now no running back to spicket THANKYOU
This is such an informative video. As a newbie just starting to do RV research, I am always wondering how easy/hard it is to dump these tanks. This video has put me at ease. Awesome work you guys!! Keep it coming! :) Now I need to go find my sewage pipe cap around the house
Thank you Grand! I don’t think we would buy an RV without the macerator system. Lol We were deciding between the Pleasureway and Airstream and choose Airstream because Pleasureway doesn’t have a macerator system. Our friend’s house has the sewer clean out on his front side yard.
Dealer didn’t show us how to use the macerator when we picked it up. Lol Good thing our previous class B had a macerator system but no fresh water flush for the black tank.
it's nice to have a macerator built in. my 2022 Coachmen Beyond 22c did not have this option. I ordered one from Amazon but it's another item that I have to carry in my van..
Oh I didn’t know you could add it on. That’s a good option too. I got to tour one exactly like yours while parking next to it at the beach last month. Very nice and roomy. Big fridge! Enjoy your travel! 🤗
Hello. I have enjoyed watching your videos. May I ask why you don't flush the black tank immediately after emptying it, then empty the gray last? If you do it tin that order, your gray tank will clean your macerator hose better since you would have already run all the black tank residue through it beforehand.
Thank you Alfred! We thought about flushing the black tank before the gray tank too but when we watched the Airstream instructional video on how to dump they said to dump black then gray then flush. So us newbies just following the manufacturer’s instructions. Lol What you said makes sense so we are not the only one who think maybe better to flush the black tank first then empty gray tank. Thank you for the suggestion Alfred! 🤗
I am learning many things from your video. Thanks. Would you share which brand of extension hose will best fit the Interstate 19 Macerator? I am thinking I can use our sewer line after a trip.
Hi Sung, I bought this macerator extension hose last summer. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007HRMXBI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Have you join the Airstream Interstate 19 Facebook group?
I have to say again. You're super handy! And dumping looks fairly painless. Quick question. How do you know if the water is filled? Is there a strange sound that it makes to let you know that the water tank is full?
Hi Kelly, the macerator is a must have for us. Lol. I do monitor the water level on the control panel. When it says about 99% full then I start to turn off the water.
Great video - thank you - I have a question re: the fresh water hose / filter / valve / inlet / storage bag - where did you purchase these ? Would you refer for me / us ?
Hi Todd, the links are in the description except the storage bag. I bought the storage bag on Airstream Life store.airstreamlife.com/products/airstream-life-water-hose-bag
Macerator was a must have item when we were looking to buy a class B. After watching the movie RV with Robin Williams many years ago we said no way we are going to buy an RV. 😂😂😂
Ty ! May I ask do you really take showers? How long being tight on water and not waisting how long can you go without doing the clean outs ? And adding more water ? Can you refill each time you dump or can you add a little more ? But how long are your trips please ? Again Ty so much
We only take real quick showers for those 2 days that we go camping. Right now we can go for 3 days without refilling water or dump but for sure will have to dump after 3 days if we go longer than that.
Hi Tonya, we haven’t had to refill the fresh water tank on our trip because we only go for 2-3 so far and we have enough water for toilet use and quick showers. Dump stations usually charge around $10-$15 to dump.
Hi Paul, you can contact Dave Arbogast RV dealer in Ohio. We order last year for $157K but because of price increase it is selling for much higher price now. They gave the most discount
If she can do it, I can do it. This Lady is AWESOME 👏
Thank you Adrienne 🤗
So much cleaner and easier with the macerator system. 😂
Your videos are great and this lady is the sweetest lady love her videos.

When dumping the tank how do you ensure you leave about 1-2’ in the tank? We use TanktechsRX and need to leave some in there.
Hi Jeff, Airstream manual doesn’t say to leave. 1-2” so we just empty until we hear the sound and stop.

Do you ever sanitize the macerator hose over time? Is it necessary?
Hmmm….. I don’t know. Good question! Lol
Ours still new so I haven’t thought about it.
@@BamBamRVAdventures
Pour a 1/4 cup bleach down the macerator hose and wipe down with Clorox wipes at the end of your camping trip.
