- We've lived in our DIY camper van with a murphy bed for almost 2 years of full-time van life. So we wanted to show you a tour of our van has held up after all that time and almost 50k miles of travel.

Love the Murphy bed! I'm surprised that more builds don't utilize it. You get the best of both worlds since it's partially or totally made and you can still have a comfortable seating area.

@@mariajoseandchase So long as we could add a small pop up table by the swivel passenger front seat. I like to take a naps. LOL My husband likes to use that time to get on the computer and plan our next adventures. :) That small alternative workspace would be ideal. Alternately, we could just make the bed. I could nap while he works on the computer in the bed...Ahhh it's the life, I tell ya! Enjoy!

this van build design is so good, spaces practical. even after those 2 years the van looks still very beautiful!!
I've always leaned towards the fixed bed because I'm too tired at the end of the day to convert everything and then also make my bed. But with the nice lounge area and murphy bed, it is good to have both worlds and you can keep the sheets on it. This is only the second murphy bed I've seen in van life. I saw a "burrito bed" but didn't care for it. Well done.

I would need a bigger freezer for sure, but this is still the best van build I’ve seen thus far. What an effective use of space.
I just like the transition from the very start of the TioAventuraVan build to 2 years later living in the van, somehow you can tell that the space and the van itself has been well used, and has gone to many adventures and it has served its purpose of giving you both a home to go to at the end of the day 🥺 can't wait also for the next build 💪

Love this layout! Love the layered floor height so my small dog can get from bed to floor my himself. That Murphy bed is everything. DREAM VAN!

You DID IT!. This is it and I could actually get into the bed wo having to climb, and could take the 2 small legged dogs with me. Love this because it serves the largest part of the demographic who are retired, older, and our knees and legs are not what they used to be. I love it. Thank you so much.

as for me, it is important that there is a shower and a toilet and also that the living and the driving areas are not separated and you can start driving without going outside.

You guys really did do a fantastic job on the van build. You got everything a person could want and need in this build. Every inch of the van build you guys managed to created usable space, you didn't waste a inch. Its a very well thought out build, it really does have the best van layout I've seen. Let me tell yall, I've seen a lot of van and bus builds. I've seen just about everyone thats on the Tube and Pinterest.
This is by far my favorite van build. Your bus is one of my favorite bus builds. The bus was done beautifully it also has a lot of storage, its fantastic layout. Who ever bought your bus got a very beautiful bus/home. Who ever buys your van is going to be the lucky owner of the best van build I've ever seen...
You guys have great talent for designing Van and bus. You would do great at selling custom blue prints for van and bus layouts. also you would do great at building vans and selling them. If you didnt want to do the actual build. Then you could do a computer layouts and sell them like blue prints. People could send you pics and measurements of their van or bus and you can design the layouts, charge people for your designs. Hope I explained that well enough for you guys to understand what I'm trying to say. I was having a hard time find the words to what I was trying to say. Custom designs, blue prints, computer models whatever its called thats what you guys could do and make a good business doing it. Architect for van builds type thing I still can't find the word I want to use to explain what the hell Im trying to say lol... I think you can figure it out lol... sure made my comment a lot longer if I had the right words it would be a lot shorter. Lol...
So what is your plan after selling this van are you building another van or bus? Or going to a sticks and bricks?

@@Whiskyncigars Ours was super low key as well. We had a ton of snow in the forecast, which didn't show up until the 2nd, but we also didn't want to risk being on the roads with anyone who might have had too much to drink. So we just stayed on our property and watched home reno shows hahaha.

Nice, yours is the first build I have seen so far that doesn't have fixed bed/garage. It's so genius to have a hidden/drop-down bed which works very well with the lounge area.

Wow just wow. I have been watching many good van interior designs and this one stood out, when I saw the couch/sitting area I got annoyed and said perfect after all the hood stuff they made the table turn bed thing like many others but u guys surprised me with what u actually have done. That is such a good idea and the storage behind the bed is also brilliant. I really liked this video and will comeback when it’s my time to buy a van one day.
One of the best conversions I've seen, so many great ideas (murphy bed, TV, shower, the trashcan!). Will be keeping you in mind for my personal build ;)

Hi guys; great van tour. Well thought out, practical design. Just an idea on the greenery front: you could have some succulent plants distributed around the van. They're very tolerant to changes of climate, & watering regimes! Happy traveling!

U 2 r adorable & ur van build is AMAZING…it has to be the BEST I’ve seen & I’ve seen a lot! Also, some people advertise on their channel that they do build outs themselves…but from the appearance of their van, I don’t think I’d feel too comfortable hiring them. The fact that u took great care of ur van says a lot about the caring people u r. Of course u wanna take care of the van so u don’t break down, but it also demonstrates that whoever were to buy ur van in the future would be getting a nice, well-taken care of vehicle. Ur creativity showed in everything from the decor style to the awesome functional use of all the space! Simply stunning! 👍🏻🥳 p.s. I went skydiving back in 2002! Had my jump videotaped too & love to look back at it every now & then🤣

We have the Stoett shower door on the shower stall that's in our home. We love it! Much better than a shower curtain.
FYI: an interesting option to the Natures Head toilet is the Separett Tiny toilet. Can be installed with urine diversion or an internal tank.

Thank you friend! That's an awesome idea and don't know why we never considered it ourselves when we were in our home. It's so much more practical. We'll have to look into the Separett. We've loved having a toilet in the van, and the nature's head has been *mostly* practical, but it's every two or three months, our compost is soggy because the fan stops working. Which is the equivalent of a nightmare in this space, haha.

I love the Murphy Bed, and I always look at people's vans and wonder why more people don't have them. I can't think of anything more annoying than having to make your bed every day. I also love that you put the cupboard behind the bed for the bedding, charging, laundry. It is well thought out.
Iv moved , w,/ you guys from your first build (which was my fav).I can't wait to see your next build.. Absolutely beautiful . Both builds❤️ ,but zi must say I'm sadden to see them both go especially the bus. ❤️❤️.
