I’ve been following van builds for over 4 years and your van is in the top ten. The warmth and practicality makes it feel like home. The solid bathroom door was a great idea, very unusual. Kitchen table with window and nice seating works well. Overall grade A+.Thanks for showing it!
Oh my goodness, I just love your van, I would definitely be comfortable in there! Thank you for sharing it was very enjoyable ❤, ~Loriann = fascinated by vanlife.
The build is extremely well done. The power grid is enviously robust. Good water heating, HVAC systems of space heating and cooling, good venting and airflow even in the cabinets, and a spacious airy feel. I am amazed at how much empty space you have even with two dogs and two humans. Design-wise you have also excelled. Soothing colors, good materials, and low profile design. Use of lower weight materials is also commendable. Look at that space under the bed for the doggies, wow. I would make a few small tweaks: 1. Mount the Victron system display outside not inside the cabinet. It will render the cabinet usable. 2. Change the nightlight for a red light not blue. Blue wakes up the brain and disturbs your sleep, red does not. One method I've seen is to install red LED strip lighting under cabinets in the toe kick (which you don't have), or bed steps so you see when you step down, also in bathroom for night visits. Red in the bedroom very dim will also be a good nightlight color. 3. If you ever decide to remove the vinyl backsplash and put in real tile, use Schluter membrane as water proofing, and mix MAPEI brand Polymer into the thinset mortar, and Grout Maximizer into the grout to keep it flexible, rubbery, and avoid popping or cracking. No sealant needed as this is built into the Grout Maximizer. I used both and my bathroom floor tiles have never come off. Schluter Kerdiboard is very light and waterproof and a nice alternative to Hardiebacker board or Wonderboard which are very heavy and not hydrophobic. Just a tip from my research. Great job, very impressive and the tour was delightful. Thank you!

We do! We shower daily and never use other restrooms. We are very grateful to have a fully functional bathroom. It was definitely a top priority for us. 😊 do you have a van?
Your carbon monoxide detector can be mounted at any height because carbon monoxide has a zero specific gravity. But your smoke detector needs to be within 12 inches of the ceiling because smoke rises. It should also be a photo electric type detector. By the time that smoke detector that you have mounted in its position on the floor, activates, you’ll be dead.
I did some more research on this. In most cases, CO comes from a heat source. Heat rises and the CO will stay below the warmer air, so if your CO detector is on the ceiling, it won't be effective in this case.

So I really have been watching videos and seeing other peoples fan build hoping that possibly something could work for me. Would you mind sharing How much the renovation and van cost and all the extras? It would give me an idea what I need to shoot for! Thank you for sharing your beautiful van!🫶
@debbiann2 thanks for your comment. The van was right at 50K (slightly used) and the build was about 30K, with about 1/3rd of that cost going into the electrical system. USD$ That said, you could start on a budget and add the more expensive items later.
I like the cleanliness. The storage areas are organized and detailed. No clutter whatsoever. I see so many of these videos and people show their storage areas and they fumble and stumble through everything to get to what they want to show. For me, though, I have no ability to do this. I'd end up paying someone to build it for me.
Thanks firebird, that means a LOT to us. I hate clutter as it makes me crazy. We're actually still working out the garage space to make it more functional. This is a stunning build. I love your color pallet. The grey-bue, w/blk accents, carmel and wood, along with the beautiful faux marble is gorgeous. I trave w/ dogs as well. Love the dog house feature.
Thanks for your kind words. Angie picked all the colors. Tommy was worried about the blue at first but when we put it on the wall, we knew we nailed it.
I used 1/4" mahogany Luan, cut in long, with several Velcro removable, strips (similar look to yours) for my ceiling, as it weighs nearly nothing (gas mileage consideration)... This way I can easily alter my overhead wiring and plumbing... I made a larger higher partial drop down and removable table between the front seats so we can sit and have coffee or a meal with the large windshield view. That gives me the extra (Storage, etc.) space where you have your dinette...
I thought you were talking about the van at first. lol But yes she is easy on the eyes and best of all she loves being on the road in the van for a month at a time!
What is not to like here?!? Wow, very impressive. I've seen a lot of online van build tours and yours is probably the best. Well-earned award, and that you really love it is all that really matters... and you do. For me, the microwave on the floor would not be my ideal, but I can totally see why you did it. @@SweetDreamsVanLife sadly, no. I have been getting very interested in tiny homes and camper vans for several years now. I am not sure I am ready for the minimalism I would have to achieve. lol
You could add that the custom widow cover helps with insulation from the cold. The one thing I could see you adding to your rig is in the garage area had you designed it a bit different is a long roll out counter/workspace, that also opened for added storage. You have space there that’s not being taken advantage of. Did I miss your tool shed?
Great comment! I have a big toolbox that goes in that open space and the other half holds random items like our guitar amplifier and wires. I would love to add something more clever in that area but this works for us for now. Do you have a van?

@@SweetDreamsVanLife No, I don't have a van but I love looking at all of the different van builds and how they fit everything needed into such a tiny space. I am retired and live in a small apartment and these builds give me so many ideas for small space storage, etc. Also, I can live vicariously through their travel videos, seeing places that I will never be able to go to.
Beautiful van! Only thing I would have changed was mount the control panel on the wall and put the microwave above the table. With my knees, there's no way I could use one that low. You've shared so many wonderful ideas and tips that I'm sure we all could benefit from. Happy travels!
Thanks for your comment and yes we agree the microwave may not be in the best spot for everyone, but we want to keep the center of gravity low and we find we use the upper cabinets more than the microwave so we prefer to have the upper space easier to use. Thanks for watching
Beautiful! So many thoughtful details, though as an artist I especially love the mix of blue & wood tones. Most vans seem to go either all cool tones or all warm, but the mix makes yours feel balanced and like a home. Enjoy!

Loved the colors and warmth and table seating, warm floors, etc. I loved the shower and kitchen area too. I have two dogs, so space for them was great! I think adding a pull out board storage off the back when the door opens, and a board in the center, I think would give easy access and table outside. Loved the inside vacum! also you can add a over the door hook/closet bar, where the bathroom becomes the closet. when you open the door it moves out of the way. Just fun idea. Great job!
Thanks Diane for your comments and suggestions! I love your ideas for the garage. I'm still working on a design for the garage that holds our guitars so we can get to them from the inside of the van. Of course, that will take up Winnie's space, so for now, I'm undecided. :-)

Hi Brian! Thank you! Cheers to you in the UK!
Hi lovely from Bristol UK. One word AMAZING !
Wow, thank you! That means a lot to us.
Wow very impressed with your layout and craftsmanship. I loved everything about your van. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much for the kind words
Thanks love the layout from South Africa durban
Wow thanks for watching!
Verry good Looking Van, lots of little touches that were cool and helpful.
Glad you liked it and thanks for watching. Do you have a van too?
Dang, that was one hot tour👀!! Thank you for your service! That appliance closet/cutting board/water heater controls was a great idea for space saving and ease of use.
@@prepparig144 Thank you for taking the tour and for your comments. Glad you liked it! Do you have a van?
@@SweetDreamsVanLife You are welcome! And yes, I have a 2011 e450 shuttle bus I'm building out. Had it converted to 4x4 and just starting the inside. I got some video's I want to start uploading but the editing part is a bit foreign to me.

Very nice build, I love a bathroom in vans. Good luck on your travel journey.❤
While I am not a fan of full bathrooms in vans, I do like yours. I agree, nice job - it is well thought out and executed.
We love having a fully functional bathroom, too! Wouldn’t want it any other way! No gas stations or health clubs for us!
@@dross24MABeing on the road for weeks at a time and taking daily showers makes it really valuable for us, but we realize some people use their vans in different ways. How do you use your van?
Thank you! We love having a fully functional bathroom, too! No gas stations or health clubs for us!
Beautiful work!
@@MyNomadDirectory thank you so much! Please share with your friends!
This is, hands down, the absolute best van I have seen and I’ve been checking out vans for many years. You guys did an amazing job. Everything is so well thought out. I LOVE everything about your van!!
Wow, thank you! That is awesome to hear. That means a lot because we worked hard on it.
Your van sounds awesome! Happy trails!!
So much space for everything! Great job!
Thank you! Don’t have a van? 😊
@@SweetDreamsVanLife I’ve always wanted to “live in a VAN down by the RIVER.” But since I hate to sweat.. I love watching other people’s Van Life!
@@kimonk haha that’s why we have an air conditioner! Get out there and do it! 😜
Dang she's gorgeous.
Great legs 👍
I thought you were talking about the van at first. lol But yes she is easy on the eyes and best of all she loves being on the road in the van for a month at a time!
What is not to like here?!? Wow, very impressive. I've seen a lot of online van build tours and yours is probably the best. Well-earned award, and that you really love it is all that really matters... and you do. For me, the microwave on the floor would not be my ideal, but I can totally see why you did it. Not many other options, and you still got it in. Superb job all around!!!
@@jeannewagner8133 thank you so much! It really means a lot to us that you took the time to take our tour and we appreciate the great review! Do you have a van?
@@SweetDreamsVanLife sadly, no. I have been getting very interested in tiny homes and camper vans for several years now. I am not sure I am ready for the minimalism I would have to achieve. lol
@@jeannewagner8133 the journey is the fun! Enjoy!
This is insane for a van, it feels like a full trailer
Thanks Daniel. We crammed a lot in here and can park this anywhere
Awesome! Has all you need!😊very cozy!
Thanks! We definitely feel at home in the van. 😊
Love this so much. Definitely one of the best. I particularly love the little table up front and extra seating. Bathroom is excellent. You’ve checked ALL of the boxes! Well done
@@bangelucci5966 thank you so much…your comment means a lot to us! Do you have a van?
@@SweetDreamsVanLife no but am seriously considering it! Thx for the reply

Love this build. Great design and colour choices. The bathroom/shower is very well designed and functional. Love the bed with the window. Great kitchen also.
@bonriver9420 thanks for the comments. Angie picked the colors. I was hesitant to go with blue but it sure turned out well. Do you have a van too?
@@SweetDreamsVanLife No, I don't have a van but I love looking at all of the different van builds and how they fit everything needed into such a tiny space. I am retired and live in a small apartment and these builds give me so many ideas for small space storage, etc. Also, I can live vicariously through their travel videos, seeing places that I will never be able to go to.
👍 She's a beaut!... the van is nice too.
Haha! Yes I have a beautiful girl and best of all she loves spending weeks at a time in the van. I’m a lucky guy.
I see why you won..very nice great work, and simply done .thankyou
@@karabucca-ey2uy thank you! We appreciate you taking the tour and your kind words! Do you have a van?
Beautiful! So many thoughtful details, though as an artist I especially love the mix of blue & wood tones. Most vans seem to go either all cool tones or all warm, but the mix makes yours feel balanced and like a home. Enjoy!
@@hr3134 thank you…the consideration for the color palette was very important and took some time, but we loved how it turned out. We appreciate your comment as an artist! Thank you!

Beautiful van. Thanks for showing.
Thanks Michael
A thousand kudos, fabulous design but greater execution, your Tommy did an amazing job, thank you thank you for an Emmy quality video. OUTSTANDING!
Wow! Thank you for your kind words! Tommy is a gem, for sure! 😊
