New to your channel so not sure where you have not been to yet but some ideas would be Louisiana where I'm at. Eat some good gumbo, crawfish, red beans and rice. Go on a swamp tour to see alligators and hogs. Visit the French quarter. Go to Cafe du mode. Just some ideas. 💕

Been binge watching this stuff for 4 years now and surprisingly haven't come across such a comprehensive, clear video. In most cases it's a couple travelling together where the male explains the tech stuff. Thank you so much for this and inspiring me & other women! Subscribed, how would I not?!
That sounded very sexist.. It shouldn't matter who explains what.. They are just people explaining stuff, It shouldn't come down to gender. It would be considerate that you remember this when you comment otherwise it comes across as being sexist or bias towards other genders. So am I. I'm a lost pup with grown children, divorced 8 years from 20 year marriage to man with NPD who devoured my identity not to mention lost mom, and Grandmother so now this only child has been coping with PTSD and trying to find my way. Given my new business was shut down by Pandemic and I now believe I see the need to focus on nothing other than getting myself healthy again. I do believe this is my answer to maintain my independence. That alone will be instrumental before I can even think about "finding myself" again. I think I will take my upcoming small settlement (car demolished on top of everything else in 2020) and put it to use in just this way. Though I have no fear... Is there a group of people out there committed to this and who stay connected?
@@ambersewell8966 I hope you and anyone suffering find health and happiness back in your lives. I also hope you find some kind of answer on what to do m good luck
I’ve seen a LOT of vanlife videos but this one is jus so satisfying logically and aesthetically, even though it’s not as dreamy or “pinterest aesthetic” as some other designs. It’s so well thought out and organized. Makes my brain happy 😃
Both the build and the presentation were done very well. Honestly, I wouldn't change anything about it. Since I don't have a river raft I'd have lots more room in the back :-) I did all of my travelings back in the 80s in a 79 Mustang hatchback. All 48 continental states and Canada. That was fun. If I had something like your Transit I never would have settled anywhere permanently.
I usually skim through these, but you're an excellent story teller. I truly love your van. Thank you for opening your home and heart to us. You are so right, everyone is different in needs. I truly appreciate what you showed.
Finally! I’ve probably seen hundreds of van builds and yours is the first that I’ve seen that has an RV stove which is an absolute must have for me. I’m a retired Chef and really want an oven in my build. I detest microwaves and they use a crazy amount of power. I’ve also been struggling with the propane set up. I didn’t want a huge propane tank on the underside of the van and have to find propane filling stations. Having the bottles like you do makes it so easy to swap out from literally anywhere (convenience stores, hardware stores, etc). And that Bluetooth monitoring tool solves my problem of knowing how much propane is left in the tank. Thanks for showing that an RV stove is absolutely doable in a van with swap out propane tanks, you just solved two huge issues I’ve been struggling with. I’ll use more for cooking, but plan to install a webasto style heater that runs off the gas tank, so that should offset the usage. I just subscribed, great stuff! (PS love the home theater, another must have for my build!).
I am so glad it could help! I like being able to just swap out the tanks as well. And really, even with using my stove and oven every day AND my propex heater a few times I am still at 44% full almost 8 weeks into living in here!
I love how detailed and informative your tour is! My bestie is wanting to do something like this and it was nice to send them this video with so much information in it. Your design is so well thought out and perfect. Also, love where your van gets her namesake from!! ❤️
This is really the only way to live if you want to free yourself and feed your soul, but still need to stay connected to the rest of the world. You’re definitely winning at life! 🙌🏻
The overwhelming message here is that we need to teach this from the beginning to our young... Different is not strange; it is beautiful, necessary and the only way to live peaceably together! Go Firefly as far and high as you heart soars...
This is one of the best van builds I've ever seen, thank you for living the life and sharing your experiences with us. You just helped people who are just starting out, make better choices. You freaking rock
Lovely, practical design. I also like the couch looking out the side door. I don't like showers in vans because they take up so much vertical, visual space. A spray faucet with a large, deep sink allows for hair washing and a sponge bath. (You can get a collapsible laundry basket with a plug in the bottom to stand in when taking a sponge bath.)
I live out of a 1990 vandura and it's just me and my morkie pup. It is the best thing I've ever done. I'm glad I chose to live the hippie Life. It gives me the freedom to do as I please and I get to travel and see things most people don't. Best life ever
Easily, hands down, my favourite van tour. I've seen them all (maybe about 50 or 60?), and this is the best. You come across as practical, down to earth, helpful, quirky and silly ("Sterling, I saw you paw-m that card!"). I hope I meet you on the road. AND! your Star Wars scroll brought tears to my eyes - it's the first time I've seen such a nice list of thank-you's.
Wow! This is the best van build I've seen yet! You've thought of everything. I love that you've included a stove with an oven, deep sink and toilet. I agree with you about the windows. You have lots of light coming in and you've made it very safe for travelling alone. It's a wonderful home for you and Sterling. Take care and be safe.
Thank you so much everyone for engaging with this video! I so appreciate the amazing response. I uploaded a new one today (Sept 11), and I will be filming a Q&A to be posted next (on September 25). What questions do you have about me, Firefly, vanlife in general, or Sterling (haha) that I can answer for you in that Q&A?
You've done a wonderful job on your van. Well planned, the video is a professional job. I'm very impressed with your tour and explanation of everything. Love your Dog,seems like he's well adjusted to his new home. Thank You.
I just love what you have done and I have been dreaming of this life for some years now with dog as well. Sterling is a cutie and seems like he loves van life. Thank you for sharing your story
My parent's had an antique business in the 70s & 80s. We lived near Canada. The van was so cold in the winter. My Dad put wood paneling throughout the inside with insulation behind it and carpet on the wood floor he built. It made it so much warmer for us kids waiting on them or traveling on cold winter days. We could nap, play cards, play board games and my Mom always brought an old portable 1880s wood potty with porcelain bowl inside of it. It had a wood cover. Reminds me of his ingenuity.
I can totally relate to you enjoying being alone especially as I get older. I'm very happy being alone and I don't have a lot of friends. Of course I'm married so I have the company of my husband, but outside of my marriage I'm fine not having many friends. Be safe out there!
Ok, just googled it. Whew! Glad its not some new creepy group in the states. Will subscribe. She is so smart and practical and informative. Much better than so many videos that gloss over too much.
Great Build!! Love the heater, Im off to Google one... Build a side door for your propane...Yes, wicked good production 1 of the best I have seen in 4 years of watching van builds on the tube.
Hi Anna and Sterling, what a fantastic home you built for yourself and your lovely dog, so cute. You are such a fantastic example of a young woman living your life to the fullest. The very best of luck to you, I am sure your Family are so very proud of the person you are.. 👍😉🇮🇪🍀

Hey there greetings from the southwest Western Australia! Your van is awesome. Fantastic design and build. I have an ex postie van im going to build out and you have given me some great ideas. Thankyou😊
@@Tiny.Wayfinders Sterling reminds me of my favorite fur baby of all time. Her name was Lucy, and while I had her for many years, I miss her every single day! ❤
Well, women think a little different. I need my showers, privacy, so, I’ll probably build the bathroom first, then build around it. Or buy a motor home, used, I’m learning, used is better, in some ways than brand new! Going alone is scary, but getting into a community with others to get info, ideas from, would be great, at least someone is out there for me....
@@lbl9066 my starting plan is to just open the back van doors, throw up a tarp to cover myself and shower in the "garage." I plan to use the sun to heat up my water and a watering pot to sprinkle water over myself 😊 I'll worry about the fancy stuff later lol
You and Firefly and your dog are the cutest. I love the Sage trim. I would leave the propane where it is since you have the Bluetooth monitor, don't need to access it that often versus how often you use your other gear. Whatever is more convenient for you. I want a van one day and will save this video for reference. Great video.
You’re a doll! I really appreciate the time that you took to explain every single point and detail that would have otherwise been missed by a newbie. I now have more ideas to play with for my build. Thank you 🙏🏾☺️
Well done! Beautifully edited video for a gorgeous van build with an equally beautiful van-lifer! Your ideas and craftsmanship are top notch with very practical applications. Thank you for being conscientious about the environment and using appropriate soaps. I love how active you are and that you obviously take very good care of yourself; much respect. You did it brilliantly. Thank you much for sharing. (Very inspiring and enjoyed) 🤗. Safe and Happy Travels! *Vandie Van 🚐Wings*
That’s a beautiful build and a wonderful living space. Near the end you mentioned that yo8 use your inverter sockets for your laptop charger. That is quite an inefficient way to charge a laptop as you are going from DC to AC and then back to DC, with power loss at each step. You should look into a direct DC charger for your particular laptop model which would ultimately be more efficient for you, especially if you are boon-docking for a period of time. Beautiful van conversion!
Amazing list of links for others to source options for van life projects. As a 67 year old who loves travel and exploring, your very inspiring. Thank you.
Anna, what a warm, wonderful, unique magical space you have created. Such thoughtfulness and such intelligent planning! May all your journeys be as special as you and your van are.

Hey thank you!! I have a similar brain 😊🙌🏼
Both the build and the presentation were done very well. Honestly, I wouldn't change anything about it. Since I don't have a river raft I'd have lots more room in the back :-)
I did all of my travelings back in the 80s in a 79 Mustang hatchback. All 48 continental states and Canada. That was fun.
If I had something like your Transit I never would have settled anywhere permanently.
I can’t see myself ever not having a mobile home of some sort haha! And yes without the raft there would be WAY more storage!
You said countries like Canada and California.
Add a stool/retractable step for your sofa
@@teddrosenthal no I heard countries like Canada... California too... so not saying later is country???!!!
NMB
I usually skim through these, but you're an excellent story teller. I truly love your van. Thank you for opening your home and heart to us. You are so right, everyone is different in needs. I truly appreciate what you showed.
Thank you so much!!!
@@Tiny.Wayfinders She's right ya know.
Check out Mr and Mrs Adventure, they have an oven. That is a nice touch.
Sterling is such a cute little old man 😊
He is the perfect boi 😊😊
He’s adorable isn’t he. 🐕
That scene between Shepherd Book and Kaylee bringing back all the Memories and all the FEELS!!!!
I love it so much 😭
I love how detailed and informative your tour is!
Thank you so much!!
We named our class C "Serenity"..... I loved the series and movie too.
I love that!!!
The overwhelming message here is that we need to teach this from the beginning to our young...
Different is not strange; it is beautiful, necessary and the only way to live peaceably together!
Go Firefly as far and high as you heart soars...
Thanks Mona! I agree!
Hands down the best van build video on the internet.
Wow thank you so much!!!
This is one of the best van builds I've ever seen, thank you for living the life and sharing your experiences with us. You just helped people who are just starting out, make better choices. You freaking rock
Thank you so much, I appreciate you!
Thank you - I really like the spray faucet shower as well! That’s a good idea for the sponge bath option
liked for the costume bag. The best thing about vanlife is how everyone's needs are unique.
Thank you haha I need my costumes! 😆🙌🏼
I live out of a 1990 vandura and it's just me and my morkie pup. It is the best thing I've ever done. I'm glad I chose to live the hippie Life. It gives me the freedom to do as I please and I get to travel and see things most people don't. Best life ever
Firefly is the greatest. I want a sequel to Serenity ASAP!!!!
Me too!!!
Susan your words are SO KIND! Thank you and I hope to see you on the road as well!
One of the best vanlife videos I've seen and you have created an amazing space! Blessings on all your journeys!
Thank you so much!!
Beautiful, cozy, creative, cute fur baby and great way to live. Happy traveling!!
Thank you so much I appreciate it!!
New Sub here, love your build😁❤️👉🏼🇨🇦
Thank you!!
Are you seeing someone? Lol
Come to Florida
Hahaha you will have to wait for the video to find out 😉
Question, what if your van breaks down, are mechanics like WTF? Lol or then where do you stay? Ps looks awesome!
I've watched a lot of van build tours and this design was by far the best I've seen. Great job and inspiration. M
Thank you so much!!
Brave women, proud of you! You seem so informative with everything related to Van life. The van is very organized and impressive!😊🎉
Sweet little Sterling! I feel happy that you have your furever companion with you all the time!

Awesome! Thank you!
Great Choice of lifestyle! Be careful and have fun - yes, you CAN do both in one trip! ENJOY!
I love the fairy lights the best. Everyone needs fairy lights. Really like your van build. Thanks for sharing.😊😊
Agreed! All things fairy lights haha 😆
You've done a wonderful job on your van. Well planned, the video is a professional job. I'm very impressed with your tour and explanation of everything. Love your Dog,seems like he's well adjusted to his new home. Thank You.
Thanks so much for your kind words ☺️ and yes my old guy loves his new home!
I just love what you have done and I have been dreaming of this life for some years now with dog as well. Sterling is a cutie and seems like he loves van life. Thank you for sharing your story
Thank you so much! Sterling is the best part for sure 😊
Gorgeous and practical and whimsical! Wonderful! Thank you for the informative tour and I appreciate your candor and honesty!!
I love the descriptor - whimsical! ❤️ thanks for watching!
get it shawtyyy. I love that u added ur living lifestyle background beforehand makes me trust you more and I relate
Thank you!!!
I can totally relate to you enjoying being alone especially as I get older. I'm very happy being alone and I don't have a lot of friends. Of course I'm married so I have the company of my husband, but outside of my marriage I'm fine not having many friends. Be safe out there!
It is definitely nice to be able to just be with yourself and enjoy it!
I would think that if you have a husband, you're not alone.
That sink shower thing is awesome!
Good Lord when she was on the back " garage" the car looked gigantic.
Hahaha yep 😂
@@Tiny.Wayfinders Love that garage! So much wasted space inside my RV, would much rather have a garage than haul a bathroom around.
Had me with Firefly and the opening graphics even had the right font. Now I'll have to binge the series again (and the movie).
Such a great series!!
Oh shoot... I missed the font. You are right!
It’s an annual watch. Autumn means revisiting my old friend Firefly

Ok, just googled it. Whew! Glad its not some new creepy group in the states. Will subscribe. She is so smart and practical and informative. Much better than so many videos that gloss over too much.
You did a great job , everything a person needs , very nice. 😉👍🌹🙂
Great Build!! Love the heater, Im off to Google one... Build a side door for your propane...Yes, wicked good production 1 of the best I have seen in 4 years of watching van builds on the tube.
Thank you so much! I use the Propex HS2211 😊
Hi Anna and Sterling, what a fantastic home you built for yourself and your lovely dog, so cute. You are such a fantastic example of a young woman living your life to the fullest. The very best of luck to you, I am sure your Family are so very proud of the person you are.. 👍😉🇮🇪🍀

Hands down the best vanlife video I’ve seen so far! Compost v cassette toilet, fixed v convertible bed, direct drain v grey water tank, skylight and fan, dry air heating all info I found particularly interesting.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching!!
I'M A COSTUMER TOO! Thank you for bringing and living your costumes - I love the Firefly name and blue starry look too
Yessss costume peeps unite ❤️
One of the most important things about this video is you have to build for you own comfort and aesthetics.
Absolutely! That is the joy of doing it yourself!
Sheep's wool for insulation!!! Brilliant!! I adore eco-friendly solutions to carpentry, so much!
It’s such a great option! Super easy to install also
12:08 thank you. After 5 years THIS is what u recommend...this is good to know. U lived the life for 5 years and so u your opinion matters to me. ALSO I have heard the nature head explained MANY times ...your description Finally made it make sense. 🙌

You had me at “Firefly”. Nice woodwork. Looking forward to future episodes.
Thanks Rod!
Girl, that sink design is genius! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You’re truly inspiring! 💪🏼😍
Thank you so much!!
Great build the oven is super cool especially to having a van for cooking it was nice to hear you go over little things and talk about the highlights of your van!
Thanks Danny! I love the oven 😊
Hey there greetings from the southwest Western Australia! Your van is awesome. Fantastic design and build. I have an ex postie van im going to build out and you have given me some great ideas. Thankyou😊
I’m a dog lover and Sterling is absolutely adorable. I love the woodwork in your van. It’s beautiful.
Thanks Donald! Sterling is the best 😊
@@Tiny.Wayfinders
Sterling reminds me of my favorite fur baby of all time.
Her name was Lucy, and while I had her for many years, I miss her every single day! ❤
I like where she keeps a toilet and saves space not having a shower, as a shower can easily be taken from the sink outside
Exactly! 👏🏼😊
Beautiful build girl, such a cozy home. Thanks for sharing, safe travels! ✌🙏

Wow thank you so much Mark!
I sooo agree. from Canterbury U.K.
great detail
This is literally the best and most comprehensive video about van life that I’ve ever seen. Loved this so much thank you! Definitely subscribing
Awesome! Thank you!
You and Firefly and your dog are the cutest. I love the Sage trim. I would leave the propane where it is since you have the Bluetooth monitor, don't need to access it that often versus how often you use your other gear. Whatever is more convenient for you. I want a van one day and will save this video for reference. Great video.
Thanks so much Golda!!
Firefly lover and outdoor enthusiast. 😍
You’re a doll! I really appreciate the time that you took to explain every single point and detail that would have otherwise been missed by a newbie. I now have more ideas to play with for my build. Thank you 🙏🏾☺️
I’m so glad it could be helpful to you!!
Please continue making more videos and don't worry about massive stories to tell, just short little ones with your startling smile and piercingly warm eyes is enough to keep viewers entertained. You are truly blessed all around! Thanks for the inspiration and I'll be doing my own very soon. (I Subscribed 😎👍)
Wow thank you so much you are so kind!

I’m so happy you enjoyed! I’ll have another video out on Sunday about the regrets I have in the build!
Incredibly beautiful build from top to bottom and all throughout....very well structured. And awe-gorgeous nature...galore! Watching this video is like a mini movie of a Van Tour. You did it brilliantly. Thank you much for sharing. (Very inspiring and enjoyed) 🤗. Safe and Happy Travels! *Vandie Van 🚐Wings*
Thank you very much! I appreciate the kind words
Yours was definitely the best build , and I've looked at a lot.
That means so much thanks Lucille!
Lucille love the name . Reminds me of the song that goes like this . You chose a fine time to leave me Lucille four hungry children etc etc lol 😂
Oh wow I didn’t even know those existed thank you!! 😂
Thx for the tip!
