The name of our van is Sweet Dreams. We built it in three months in our driveway in Indiana with basic tools. We didn't design this to be a "weekender" van; we designed it to live in for a month or more at a time.
At Peace Love and Vans, our van won "Best in Show", due to it's home feel, functional layout, bathroom with shower, 39 gal fresh water, 4 gal hot water, and a 24v 600ah battery bank, giving us 14,400 watt hours of battery which will let us run our 24V AC for 36+ hours on a single charge.

Amazing! The wood gives it a very warm, inviting and homie feel. There isn’t one thing I would change about it. Unfortunately, I don’t have the skills to build something like this. Enjoy it.

Heated floor , air exchange, swivel seats for living and dining area entrance and deluxe shower and wet room bathroom using shower screen. Those cab window covers and the drape are slick. Very comfortable and functional. I would prefer the head of bed be on right or curbside for a buffer if parking along side of street. I’ve seen too many vans that have been sideswiped and rear ended while parked all around our town/city.

Beautiful van with lots of unique and functional features. We have the Trelino toilet as well, retrofitted into a commercially built Sprinter van. I’d love to understand how you plumbed the liquid into your gray system. We’ve thought about that but weren’t sure the best way to do that. Thanks!

Ive got a teen who is a gamer, so I would need to incorporate some monitor he could play on, but that is a beautiful build. I love it.

You really have a lovely home in this van; it is all very practical and has great options. I could very much imagine myself living in this for a long time. Very comfortable to have the dinette, as well as the bathroom. It seems a bit narrow, but if you are smaller I am sure you can shower easily. What do you do for laundry and drying washed clothes? I loved the colors and the wood - looks very warm and cosy indeed!! Just two things I missed: books - or some sort of bookcase, bookbox or bookshelf. I could not do without my books. And I noticed you have very few little decorations, pictures or whatever on your walls. That could make it a little more personal. But that is surely a matter of taste (and space). I would like to still work when I get to actually live a van life, what is the best internet for van life?
@@lisanicholson8560 a lot of people like Starlink but it’s costly. We use a Verizon Business router and it works great. We are able to edit and download photos and can get our work done about anywhere. We have had a few patchy areas, but overall it works great to have your own network on the road.

@@samohtnotslar It was definitely difficult at times figuring things out and was a lot of hard work, but we did love doing it together and the memories we made in the process. I have to question the location of that smoke detector. Smoke rises. That unit won't detect until the cabin is full of smoke. At that point the heat and smoke density near the roof may be near the point where it'll flash over.

Beautiful! So many thoughtful details, though as an artist I especially love the mix of blue & wood tones. Most vans seem to go either all cool tones or all warm, but the mix makes yours feel balanced and like a home. Enjoy!

Like every single thing.. especially the wet bath. I need to be able to use bathroom and wash up properly as needed.
@@buzzinbee9463 we are the same as you! Being able to shower and use the restroom is on the top of our list and we use it consistently. No gas stations or restaurant stops for us! It’s awesome to have your own facilities. Do you have a van?

What is not to like here?!? Wow, very impressive. I've seen a lot of online van build tours and yours is probably the best. Well-earned award, and that you really love it is all that really matters... and you do. For me, the microwave on the floor would not be my ideal, but I can totally see why you did it. Not many other options, and you still got it in. Superb job all around!!!

@@SweetDreamsVanLife sadly, no. I have been getting very interested in tiny homes and camper vans for several years now. I am not sure I am ready for the minimalism I would have to achieve. lol

What did you use on the floor? wood look vinyl strips? It looks great with the design scheme.
Thanks for your comment. We used 1/2" ridgid xps insulation, 1/2" zip system OSB, a layer of vinyl underlayment and then yes, vinyl planks. The white is hard to keep clean but it does keep the van looking bright.
