    You are having many many problems that you should not have. Shame on Airstream. I have owned a pull trailer Rockwood for 2 yrs. and I have never been back and have had NO problems. Sorry for your trouible. Good Video. God Bless

      I know, shame on Airstream. They should have better quality control before releasing these out to the buyers. It seems like the Interstate 19 have more problems than the Interstate 24. My brother has the 24 and doesn’t have anything problem besides the sliding door got stuck sometimes.

      @hauvu1930 exactly! Wish they have better QC before sending the vans out to the consumers. It does get better after the first year after all that problems were fixed.

    Bam Bam- we have the exact van and could not be more grateful for your videos!!! My Honey and I are struggling with the door rattle. Could you please give us more information of exactly what foam you used and how you positioned it? Thank you!!!!!❤

      Nice van Sabrina! 🤗You can email me so I can response and attach a short clip of how we put in the foam and the picture of the foam we got from Home Depot since I don’t know how to attach a video or picture in the RUclips comment.

    I used to own a 16' Airstream RV. I sold the Airstream because it broke down so often. Since then, I have never used an RV again. I wish my energy had been spent traveling instead of fixing the RV.

      I hear you, wish that would be the case. It helps that my husband is pretty handy and likes to do DIY projects. Our kids and friends always tease us “ Why is the RV always in the dealer? “ 😂😂

    How did you stop the rattle in the sliding door? We have a 2022 AI 2x4 TB 19 footer at 16,000 miles. Our rear stereo speaker blew out and was replaced under warranty. We had a vent cover and interior water filters added. The water pump was loud, but the dealer was able to make it quiet by tightening things up and adding insulation. Love the channel! No white carpet for us!

      Hi William, thanks for watching! 🤗 We bought a roll of foam with adhesive backing and cut a long piece to put in between the panel and and the sliding door. We love our new quieter water pump. One of these days we will make a video of what we did to solve the rattles in our van.

      After owning Pleasure Way, Leisure Van, Winnebago and Roadtrek the AirStream has been at least looking the nicest lol. My Airstream Interstate 24' had very little issues but that was before Airstream started cheaping out on everything like the other companies. They all come with issues and the service centers book months out as they all have so many issues. It just comes with owning a house on wheels.

      It is disappointing that Airstream is still not up to par with their qualify control. However, we are happy with the over all built and just enjoying the van for all of its ups and downs. 🤗

    Sniffing for black tank leak; been there, done that lol. Must be a requirement to do the sniff test if you want an RV. All these RV manufacturers need to do better quality control. I'd like to see you two try out a Newell Coach.

    • @BamBamRVAdventures
      @BamBamRVAdventures  Год назад +1

      Well, so far we agreed to only use it for #1 so sniff test wasn’t too bad. 😂😂 Airstream do need better quality control ! Haven’t heard of Newell Coach but if they make small Class B we would check it out.

    We've had so many recalls on the chassis from Mercedes than any vehicle owned in years. The latest recall they don't have a fix yet and be careful to turn it off so it doesn't catch fire.

    • @BamBamRVAdventures
      @BamBamRVAdventures  Год назад

      Oh still no fix yet ? We will ask about it when we bring ours in to check on the water leak window in the back door.

      @@BamBamRVAdventures not that we've heard. So many issues with the Nineteen and our service place wants to keep the RV for several weeks so just left the issues. Lucky no leaks yet on our 2021 but we don't camp in it. The service department for Airstream in Orange County is terrible and the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. I end up just dealing with Airstream myself vs. the service area and try to find local mobile RV services. It's literally been every month to Mercedes for recalls though. So annoying.

      @@SHAYSWAYOFFICIAL you can try Airstream of Los Angeles. They have been very responsive so far with all our repairs. Ìf they needed to order parts we took the van back to use during that time. If no part was needed they mostly kept it for 1-2 weeks max

    • @SHAYSWAYOFFICIAL
      @SHAYSWAYOFFICIAL Год назад

      @@BamBamRVAdventures range County is like that as well. 1 week is fine but 2 or more seems strange because it's just sitting there in the queue while they work on others. Los Angeles is a bit too far. It's my only vehicle, so it makes it a bit tricky. Good to know they have been responsive as push comes to shove sometimes, you have to travel a distance for good work.

    wow, rough time. I picked up a 2022 gt24 week after thanksgiving, 15 months ago. Coming from an entry level thor class a, i was nervous about breakdowns. We took a nyc-niagara falls shake out trip over the summer, everything went well, except one window shade become unscrewed and fell off. Coming from the thor, this thing is whisper quiet. All the stuff worked. I was pleasantly surprised, tbh

    Wow, that was a lot of issues for a brand new Airstream! Did you have any problem with the used Roadtrek that you had?

    • @BamBamRVAdventures
      @BamBamRVAdventures  Год назад +1

      We were the 3rd owner on a year old Roadtrek when we bought it. The 2nd owner had it for 6 months and he had to replace one lithium battery just before he sold it to us since he said the manufacturer warranty was only 1 year for the batteries . There was a lot of rattlings much more than the Airstream. A month after we bought it, the fridge didn’t work but it was still under the 2 years manufacturer warranty. So we had a local RV shop order a new fridge and replaced it for us. We only had the Roadtrek for less then 6 mos before we sold it to our friend since we thought our Airstream would come in 1-2 months but it was delayed for another few months. Our friend told us the AC stopped working so he had some part replaced, the sink was leaking, the bathroom door panel was coming off so he fixed that himself. The inverter was replaced last Oct, sliding step stopped working and had to be fixed.

    Most RVs’ will have plumbing issues and issues in general. Which is unfortunate because of all the money consumers pay for them. You spend more time back in for repairs than on the road.

    • @BamBamRVAdventures
      @BamBamRVAdventures  Год назад

      We bought it back for water pump, batteries problem, black water tank, bathroom door, fabric piece and the next time would be when they have the counter top in. It was at the dealer for one week at a time except one time it was there for 2 weeks because the technician was out sick from Covid. So it was at the dealer for 6 weeks during the past year and 3 months.

    Your problems are experienced by so many, so sad.. Why I cancelled my purchase of a new Airstream Atlas, the reviews online on all the Airstream Touring Van models are horrible, most would never buy one again. Airstream quality has become terrible recently. Love your channel though.

I was apprehensive after reading about all the problems in both groups and yet we ended up buying them anyway and had to deal with the problems. Lol

    Would it be better to build our own camper van, that way we can use better quality materials?

    • @BamBamRVAdventures
      @BamBamRVAdventures  Год назад

      Hi Keith, I think the build materials that Airstream uses are high quality and the build specs are very good. The problems we encountered are from lack of built quality controls and the parts that are available in the RV industry. We were looking at custom built company Advanced RV but their price is very high because they pay attention to the workmanship.
