Weld a washer and then a nut

Had this happen to a blind bolt what attached my front sway bar to the frame. Eventually i just welded the bracket that held a bushin on. I tried about 10 diff drill bits, even a $40 one that was told would do the job. Along with breaking about 3 other extractors. So underneath my welded bracket is a broke extractor on top of a broken bolt stuck in a blind hole

Definitely very frustrating when it happened. I usually back them easy out when they feel like about to snap . But man sometimes they snap without warning. The stone grinder tip did really a good surprising job. I bed you did regret the money wasted on them drill bits

I understand this having to spend 4 years getting one removed from a intake that i cant find a repop or a old one as everyone throws away a 301 pontiac but this one was fine no knocks or ticks ran like a sawing machine but cant find a n/a intake easily i have found a whole engine one time and a 455 big block replacment on facebook market place but two drill drill sets and a nut and bolt was far cheaper still runs too

Definitely a lot of people gets frustrated and give up on parts with broken bolts and easy out. Definitely the patience with a bit a drill sets pays very well. That what I would try doing while looking for parts

If your snapping hardend bits your work is too hard. Heat cherry red and allow cool slowly. It should then be easy enough to drill.

Thank you ! that is a good idea to reverse the steel tempering process these easy out and drills went through.

It makes sense, I thought it was hardened with steel tempering process
