Learn how to make crazy and still healthy harsh, aggressive sounds with your voice! www.mymusicalvoice.com/p/the-aggressive-vocalist-s-master-plan-of-attack
Constricting while in head voice is the hardest part for me lol. I can add fry while singing to get a little bit of distortion and grit while in head voice, but not get into a full distortion type of thing yet. This video really helped give me something to use to work towards it. Thanks Chris 😁
Watching the videos with Andy just made me more confused, I can't even "screaky shout" in head voice, and that's one of the pilars, if you figure something out would you mind sharing it here?
What a great instructional video. 🤩 Now I feel like I should be paying for the private vocal lesson. You really do have a way of communicating in a video, these RUclips vids and your course videos, that seem so, in person. 🙏🥰
I needed this video to comprehend how to shift gears (haha) i hope to record 9 songs between today and Friday (greetings from Mexico City) and listen to my song "Give me something to believe"
Hey Chris it would be awesome if you could analyse Leprous - Like A Sunken Ship. It's got so many interesting things in it and is just a beautiful song.
I have a huge huge request i would love if you would isolate and break down Robin Zander from Ceap Tricks voice from their song The Flame. Imjust think he way to underrated and would love that
Ado started recently producing a group called Phantom Siita. They only have a few songs that I think you may enjoy listening to how Ado is teaching the next generation of young singers even though she herself is only 21, she's amazing.
That right there was a “fry scream”. If you were to simply push more air out while maintaining that vocal cord posture, you would get a much louder sound resulting in that “scream” level of intensity. If you take what you did in this video and simply raise the pitch with that vocal cord posture, you will get that signature Chester Bennington fry scream sound. To practice this, I would just do what you did here with that fry sound with distortion and as you start the sound by letting air out, try raising the pitch. As you do it you should feel a higher position of constriction on the vocal cords but that’s ok.
It's work, sir. But when i tried to making it louder, my voice started to feel thin and eventually disappeared.. I mean the head voice that was previously sounding started to disappear.. when I did it again at a lower volume, it came out.
Yes, it's normal, but not necessary or healthy! Check out my course "The Aggressive Vocalist's Master Plan of Attack" found at mymusicalvoice.com to learn how to do intense vocals freely and without pain or soreness!

Dude, I literally could have wrote this comment. Really hard to get the full scream while being in head voice.

@yurimartins1455 definitely. If I find something that give me a little of an "ah ha" moment, I'll definitely try to share it here 😁.

Great info. You’re amazing Chris. By far the king of compression.
Please, check out AJ Mitchell. He is an extraordinary vocalist with an great mix.
In my opinion he is one of the most underrated singers out there.

Hi chris
Hi
Does anyone know why I can't get my head voice out or use it? It feels like I'm just Sighing with no sound at all.
Try to get more vocal cord closure. Air is passing through with no sounds because your chords are not closed together they are just open
If there's is like no sound coming out, you have overused your voice. Don't sing for a day or two. And drink and sleep a lot.

Sir this is totally offtopic from the video but… I have a request for remember the time mj vid if it’s possible
Hey Chris! Is it normal for my throat to feel a bit sore after first starting intense vocals?
Yes, it's normal, but not necessary or healthy! Check out my course "The Aggressive Vocalist's Master Plan of Attack" found at mymusicalvoice.com to learn how to do intense vocals freely and without pain or soreness!
Thank you so much!
