I have one. Thanks for your insight as to how to set it. It seems like there are a few different ways but I did like your way of doing it. Nice Job singing. You might consider giving some vocal lessons or advice or at least tips. I am sure you could help many of us.
hey Marc! i use the tc play acoustic pedal at my gigs and actually have two units for backup. it does a great job but i do still run it to a mixer to take out some boominess off the mic. I have the mic mechanic too but dont use it as much since the play acoustic does the same sorta thing (just cant move knobs in real time)
Bringing your own vocal processor to a venue (that has its in-house PA and sound guy) is a surefire way to annoy the sound guy 😂. I did think about this too, because you'd want your own sound at each venue, with your own presets, delay / reverb etc. Aside of the pissed off sound guy, there's another problem like you mentioned. You'll get that processed sound right back into your floor monitors, with delay, reverb and all. That's something most singers won't like (I know I won't). Compression and EQ is great to have on your floor monitor of course, but effects like delay and reverb not so much. But... when you're doing bar or small venue gigs with your own sound system as a band, then it's a great pedal to use, but only as an AUX effect to bypass the floor monitor again. Great voice by the way!
@@supersonicsroots 90% of the gigs I’ve done over the years don’t provide a sound engineer… most just point you towards a sound booth and say “plug in there”… I actually DO like the wet sounding vocals… I mentioned in the video that some people would not… but a tad of effects just make my vocal sit better in the monitor mix
@MarcLewis2023 okay, that makes sense. My gigs are either are at a venue or festival with full pa and sound guy, or little gigs with our own sound system. I used to bring some kind of vintage multi-effect processor 25 years ago, but sound engineers gave me too much crap 🤣 so I sold it.
I use this pedal and it works fantastic. You have to actually be able to sing if you’re going to use the pitch algorithm. If you suck, it won’t help at all.
Great video..thanks! And what a voice! I wish I could sing like that, but unfortunately that’s why I’m researching this..sometimes a little flat. Would the correction knob on this help with that..or can you recommend a vocal pedal that would be better?
Nice work on the vid. Hey have you had any issues with the auto gain in a live band environment? We have 4 mics so I just don't know about my mic not being similar to the others.

@@alexanderocampo8630 I use a 58 wireless system with this pedal as well… I have a special made cable loom that brings the signal to my pedal board and sends it back to the back of stage for patch..

It’s a shame TC Helicon is pretty much done. They had some great stuff that always seemed one update away from being perfect. The pitch correction, for example, is pretty good most of the time but then glitches on some intervals and mic plosives. And I wish the doubling effect on my Duplicator could be made “tighter” so it was less obvious and gimmicky. I like that Slap echo on your Mic Mechanic.
