Good luck!
Keep us uppdated on how the Sound level is on it because that was the reason i got rid of mine in the first place, as i have my reef inside my livingroom that is next to the bedroom the whole family woke up everytime it was going to do tests (yes i changed bushings to the softer ones and i also did put sound dampening carpets inside the whole unit + tried to put it in a cabinet inside the cabinet but it was just horrible to listen to, The results it gave and how it works and adapts is amazing however, i would most likely go Focustronic again IF they get more silent Or if my future reef room is like not close to where we sleep etc
Yeah wow, that must have been loud! Once I get my hands on one, you can be sure I’ll release a video on how it goes here :)
Love to See a Review on the following new product Kamoer Reef Master & compare these with automation. with others on the market. Unable to share only share with IG friends
You can rest assured I’ll be testing each as the come out :)
None of the features are special. Many of the testers here in the do the same thing. Focustronic isn’t offering anything. Hydros does all this and more.
For sure and until they’re both available to test - we won’t know the full pros and cons of each :)
Another great video from my Favorite Reef content channel (and I subscribe to at least 30 channels and have been subscribing for more than 10 years). I do own both an alkatronic and a Mastertronic (and have used (suffered?) the GHL KH Director and the Neptune Trident in the past) nd must confess that the Kamoer Reef Master Tester is the one I am most keen on. Can’t wait for your review to come! If it allows for several Alk tests per day, and scheduling for the remaining elements to be tested as little as once per week I will be very tempted. Maintenance is also a critical point, and one reason why I am currently looking at alternatives away from mastertronic/Alkatronic combo. Finally, as long as the reagents are keenly priced and easily available this will also be an advantage, as Mastertronic users have had more than their fare share of issues with manufacturers changing the reagent formulae (namely NO3). Cant wait for your review!
Appreciate the support! I’ll do my best to cover the Kamoer in as much detail as possible to ensure you’re able to make an informed decision on your next automation :)
@@ParkersReef Fair dinkun legend 😃
@vascojardim6703 hahaha thanks mate
website from focustronic is not working?
Which part? Is working for me?
i think Kamoer Reef Master is so much better in terms of value. this is just waste money.
Reef master isn’t even out yet 😅
@@ParkersReef one shop in Australia have it : ruclips.net/video/01793ACsTP4/видео.html
I know, but it isn't for sale yet :)
If you saw the end of this video, I also have one I am testing at the moment too
With the exception of being able to schedule tests, this somehow seems worse? They took away the ability to connect it to an apex and I dont see how anyone in the world would use an alkatronic for ph and temperature monitoring. It just makes no sense.
Yeah fair enough. I assume the other version will be available still?
the original Alkatronic is the way to go if you require BNC connection. we are moving from BNC to digital API so is down to the user base to request their choice of platform to connect with us. we are open and ready to do that.
@focustronic831 digital API is a much better solution!
@@ParkersReef just need to get other platforms to work with us. sounds simple right? unfortunately many are closed ecosystems
yeah I hear you.... If you make it a simple to access http form request, it would be hard for others not to adopt it though?
thank you Sam for another wonderful review! is always good to elaborate on the points so it is clear to all who are watching your video!
My pleasure! Thanks for doing what you guys do!
On those little blue pumps (the one they call the B waste in the video - same as mastertronic A B C) do you change the tubes or the entire pump head? They seem to eat the tube pretty quick leading to leaks. I am thinking if one runs test frequently the new pumps is a significant downgrade from the original... Besides the noise. I have the alkatronic and mastertronic and would like if there was an upgrade path.
You can change just the tubing, no need to replace the whole head
Biggest question that jumps to mind with having this alkatronic professional use its temperature probe to power on/off a heater via powertronic. Is this switching via internet, local wifi, direct Bluetooth? What happens if your wifi/internet goes down or product disconnects from wifi. Does that leave your heater stuck in the on or off position until connectivity resumes?😐 😮
Great questions, I’m not going to pretend I know the answer… if I had to guess, I’d say Bluetooth as the most reliable of those options for that solution
it works via both routes. wifi and/or LAN
It will be SIM card for connection or other means ?
No SIM card, Bluetooth and wifi I believe
Tried to share to IG but would only let me send it too people.
Good luck everyone 🤞🏼🙏🏼
Interesting bit if kit Sam, thanks for the heads up, hopefully you secure one too & like it.
Can’t share the link to Insta?
Thanks for watching :)
@@ParkersReef yes , when I click share on here & go to Instagram it take you too send to others not post to story or feed…
@@dazsboxofwater might need to copy the link and paste that instead :)
16:39 No BNC connection means no Apex connectivity for the “Professional” model
Yeah that’s seems like an oversight for sure. That being said, I never understood converting a digital value to analogue only to display as digital again. Makes sense to allow api connectivity to display the digital value instead
exactly and is down to the user base to get other platform to work with our API. so if you need a BNC, the original Alkatronic is the way to go
Parker you should go diving in either the GBR or WA reefs and see the corals in their natural habitats.
I have :)
@@ParkersReef you should post a vlog about it. Would especially love to see marginal reef habitats like Lord Howe or Norfolk.
@@encrustingacro I have. Check out my video from Pixie Reef :)
Hope they send you one for a better review. Would be interesting to see th PH test results. They could have added one more very important SALINATY.
Salinity would be handy yes, you can rest assure that I’ll get my hands on one for a better review soon :)
Yeah I was thinking this as well. I'm tired of dealing with digital probes for salinity. They just don't seem to work. It would be nice to have the Alktronic test the salinity and then maybe use that to calibrate the salinity probe daily.
@adambahe9309 that would be nice
that is already planned once units roll off production line
wow that would be awesome!
What's up?
welcome Bill!
Any news on the Mastertronic Essential?
Should be an update very very soon
