    The Rough Country 3” level kit comes with the 1.5” leaf spring blocks. Did you install the rear 1.5” blocks to get the truck level or just have the 3” spring coils installed?

    • @justtheClark
      @justtheClark  Год назад +4

      I never installed the rear blocks. The truck sits level without it, but after using the truck for a while if you put anything in the bed it will start to lean the wrong direction. So I will be installing them soon.

    • @urielvelazquez7930
      @urielvelazquez7930 Год назад

      What do you mean in the wrong direction? Also when you install the rear blocks, that means it won’t be level right?

    • @justtheClark
      @justtheClark  Год назад +1

      @@urielvelazquez7930 so I don’t want the truck to be higher in the front and it sits level at the moment but if I put anything at all in the bed it makes the front higher then the rear. So I’ll have to put the rear blocks on to stop that.

    • @urielvelazquez7930
      @urielvelazquez7930 Год назад +1

      @@justtheClark oh okay gotcha but doesn’t that mean when you add the rear blocks, it will lift the rear 1.5”? So it won’t be level anymore right? I’m asking so much because I want to do exactly what you did

    • @justtheClark
      @justtheClark  Год назад +1

      @@urielvelazquez7930 yes I do believe it will make the rear slightly higher. Even with the blocks installed it will still be -1.5 inch then factory rake currently -3 inch rake

    Thanks a ton. Used your video for my install and went seamless. To be honest I installed it 4 years ago but I didn't remove sway bar links ball joint and something else I forget. That time it wasn't right and had no spring like the shocks or springs were way to big/tight. So I put them on a shelf because when I called RC then said I passed return window and didn't really give me any tips or tricks for the install. Installed it Saturday and everything looks and feels great. Thanks again

    Did you have to adjust the camber? I ask because I put the same kit on my truck and I have quite a bit of positive camber.

    • @justtheClark
      @justtheClark  2 месяца назад

      Yes you will have to correct the camber it will be off. Would highly recommend getting an alignment. But if you don’t you can mark the top control arms bolt locations and adjust them evenly in the direction you need keeping with the most amount of caster you can. Then put the truck down roll it back and forth, put a level on the rim to check if the camber is near zero or slightly negative. Then you just check toe and see if the steering wheel is straight. I got lucky toe and steering wheel were pretty much spot on.

      @@justtheClark Right on! Thank you for the advice. I also noticed the upper control arm is incredibly close to the shock tower (?Proper Nomenclature?) . I'm worried about downward travel of the entire wheel assembly on rough terrain. Do you know of a replacement upper control arm that would work with this particular vehicle? I'm looking to replace the stock "V" shaped upper control arm with more of a "U" shaped upper control arm. I know, I have all the questions today but I appreciate the help and guidance.

    • @justtheClark
      @justtheClark  2 месяца назад +1

      I don't have one to recommend. Most of my experience is with older vehicles and not off road, but I did notice the angle of the top ball joint and if you are driving it off road that would be the failure point. It will need something with a better angle. Also a limiting strap wont fix the core issue but might stop it from breaking
