Because of this video I was able to put a leveling kit on my 2011 ram 1500! Cant thank you enough. My biggest problem was finding the right spring coil compressor that did the job safely and the one I ended up using was the same exact one from the video which I got from advanced auto parts for $40
hi i know this is 4 years later, but do you happen to remember the specs on the coil spring compressor you used? i wanna make sure i get the right one before buying one, and i don’t envision me needing to use it more than once so i’d rather not have to keep an extra one around if i end up getting the wrong size lmao
Which one did you end up getting? The one I have inserts through the inside, but the wire diameter on mine max out at 0.75" and the springs I am putting in are 0.81". Not sure if that is the wire diameter of the stock springs, but going to check here in a bit.
J&J Bassing I’ve got a 2004 Durango and it’s the same thing I’d say the back in a good 1.5-2 inches higher and it drives me crazy. I’m going to get a leveling kit a light bar and a brush guard and I will be excepted in Georgia finally
can someone please tell me if i am doing this wrong, i have a 2012 nissan frontier pro 4x. can i put then on the front of my truck or should i not. please help.
i know this is 5 years late but maybe it’ll help somebody else reading this. Supreme Suspension sells a 3” front coil spring spacer for every 2nd gen thru 4th gen 2WD Ram 1500s. that’s 1994-2018. since it’s the exact same part, id imagine the front suspension looks/works very similar to the 4th gen in this video. even though they may not be identical for your 3rd gen, i’ll bet that it’s similar enough for this tutorial to be effective for that installation.
Someone answer a question, I have just put this elevator that is shown in the video but I want to know if another one can be put on top of it so that it is 6 inches?
not really bc when u lift a 2wd ur getting more clearance so if you tow alot like me u wont bottom out. vs lowering any truck u cant load anything any more bc ur gonna bottom out so whats the point in having a truck
Oh god! I wish suspension parts came loose that easily over here. Indiana winters + salt = a lot of frustration.
@Khalid Victor 🧢
Caliper hangar didn't even provide much assistance. 😂 thanks for the vid

Thank you for the video, great tutorial on replacing shock and spring. Steven thanks for the location on my way there now. Made my life much easier.

@@sethfulton7011can’t u just unbolt the lower control arm to drop it more with the jack?
This is the exact video I've been looking for. I got the wrong spring compressors, now to get the right ones. Thank you
how do you know which to get
@@alexmilburn1315 this exact tool is called coil spring compressor. It inserts through the inside.

@JeremyRodgers mines didn't have any issues with the springs diameter.
I bought a streetray leveling kit and they look just like your spacers. Would this work the same for a 2006 Chevy Colorado?
Thanks man, this was very helpful
I got this! Thanks man.
What would cause my driver side to sit lower than the right even after replacing the springs and leveling it?
You need to replace the struts as well!
@@carlosheras2828 the springs were installed backwards at the shop(driver side on passenger and passenger side on driver)
does this leveling kit work on a 2002 dodge ram 1500 4.7 SLT, if so are the strings attach to the shocks and are hard to get off
They should tbh
Search up what works for your truck and BTW old trucks are cool as hell
I’ve got the exact same truck. IMO the angle at witch the front end is lower than the back is much more noticeable than most trucks.
Will work exactly how this videos is. I have the 06 2wd 4.7. Shock is held in by 3 bolts. 2 on the bottom. 1 on the top

Would it be better to use a mallet over a hammer?
hammer gets more persuasion
What kind of shocks did you put back on your truck
can someone please tell me if i am doing this wrong, i have a 2012 nissan frontier pro 4x. can i put then on the front of my truck or should i not. please help.
Will this work on a 2004 2 wheel drive Ram
Ld say so. I have the 08 ram 2wd and the suspension components looked pretty similar

I’m thinking about getting rough country 2.5 level spacers for my 04 tundra 2wd do I need to get an alignment after I install them?
yes, and change to suspension should call for an alignment.
Someone answer a question, I have just put this elevator that is shown in the video but I want to know if another one can be put on top of it so that it is 6 inches?
Anything over 3 inches will have to be an actual suspension lift kit, not just a leveling coil spacer.
Will this be work with a rwd to
For a 2005 you don't need spring compressor
After doing this, did you have to get an alignment done?
You need to get one done afterwards.
You need an alignment after changing tires or after certain miles also.
is this different method for a 4 wheel drive ?
Yes. The body style like his use a strut
not really bc when u lift a 2wd ur getting more clearance so if you tow alot like me u wont bottom out. vs lowering any truck u cant load anything any more bc ur gonna bottom out so whats the point in having a truck
Everyone can use an extra inch and half, am I right boys?
Como se llama ese extractor
I have struts in the front, you have shocks? Struts are a bitch to get out. It's not as easy as you make it look believe me.
how many inches is
2.5 or 3” ?
He had a 1.5" polyurethane level on both sides. Dont go 3", thats when you start extending your suspension to its limits and break things.
At that point, just go full bore suspension lift
Nawww nvm I’m good
Lifting a 2wd is equivalent to lowering a 4wd....
Dixie Duck Hunters don’t be that guy. Just annoying
who cares it looks nice
My front bumper smacks some driveways I have to drive up so I got one.
Is this the same for a 2019 ram 1500?
If it’s the classic edition then yes
