I bought a pack of 2 fobik fobs from Amazon for someone to program for me. Do you sell just the programmer, and if so would these fobs from Amazon work?
I don’t have a fob, just a regular insert key for my 09 dodge ram 1500, will this work?

These worked great for my 2014 Ram 1500. I bought it used and it only came with one fob. I've been anxious about losing it or it dying and found this inexpensive and easy solution. I got the simple key kit and an extra fob. The extra programmed very easy with no need to activate. The one in the box had to be activated. I had trouble with this one but it was user error. When they say press lock and panic simultaneously to turn on blue light activation mode they really mean simultaneously. Took maybe 10 minutes to do both keys.

I read the directions a couple of times then wrote out my own . Followed the steps and I was done in a couple minutes. Great product . Just be patient and know the steps before you start .

Worked great. As per my previous comment, I just followed the instructions exactly. It was very easy. I programmed 3 key fobs for a 2013 Dodge RAM. I purchased two other fobs in case there was an issue, but they all work. The Simple Key programmer works great! Now I have 3 new key fobs for under $200. The dealer wanted $190 (fob) + $80 (to program) which totals to $270 each, or $810 for 3. Note I would have probably only bought 1 but now I have 3. No worries about a lost key though.

It worked great on a 2010 Charger. You'll need a key that starts the car. Lock,unlock, trunk and alarm button don't need to work for the programmer to program the new keys,,,it took me literally less than 4 minutes to program 2 new key fobs. All buttons work as the master key fob.
Dealer wanted $224 plus tax for each key fob made.

I just ordered one of these, which will be here tomorrow. My old key fob is on the blitz, and I lost one several months ago. Thought I would go this route after the dealer wants $120.00 per key fob. Have 2 done so that will be $240.00. I say OUCH, to that. Can’t wait for the kit to arrive.
WOW this stuff is AMAZING ( Worked well on my Dodge Journey 2010 in Australia) and it's so so easy to use. I ve programmed my car with ease and was able to program the keyfob that came with the simple key box, but also a keyfob I purchased a year ago from a different supplier ( i just did the instructions from part 2) bam my new keyfob was programmed without any issues.

How awesome seeing this video. Was needing another backup fob as my other one took a dump and died. Called a lock smith to set up an appointment as they come to your house and work on your car or truck fob and charge a crazy amount as do the all the dealerships. Locksmith never showed. Awesome product saved some cash doing it myself. It took a few tries had to use alternate code then it worked first try. Also as mentioned by someone else drill small hole to see blue light on new remote.

NO ISSUES programming my key. One thing, 5:26, the way it looks is that Lock/Unlock needs programming. It didn't happen with mine, I have a Dodge Journey and after programming the new key lock/unlock worked, I didn't have to do anything else. Other than that, it worked great. It looks complicated at the beginning but it is not, anyone can do it.
Just got one for my 2012 RAM 1500. Sure hope it works!! You said it saves alot of money, but the $120 for the SIMPLE KEY Programmer is not small change either! I'll comment again after I find out if it works...

The lock door button on the key fob to my dodge dart was no longer responding when I pushed it. All the other buttons worked but I kinda needed the lock and alarm to work too. So I call up my dealer and ask how much it would cost to replace. 300 for the fob and an extra hundred to activate it. They wanted 400 dollars for this thing. I said "to hell with that" and started looking online for ways to do it myself, found this video, and decided to give it a try. For a hundred dollars and 5 minutes of my own time, I had the key fob activated and working on my car. All of the buttons work, the ignition works, everything. As if it were the original fob itself. And I've received several emails from the Tom's Key customer support line ensuring that my fob worked and asking if I am completely satisfied with my purchase. Yes, yes I am. Seriously, try it for yourself. Worst case scenario, it doesn't work and Tom's Key refunds you. Best case scenario, you don't get ripped off by your scam of a dealership.

I ordered the Programmer/Fob kit (which needed to be prepped with the Panic/Lock hold down with flashing blue light) as well as two additional fobs (which did not require the Panic/Lock treatment).
The video shows the way. Key is to only connect the programmer into the OBD2 jack when it is needed. At the 3:10 mark he plugs in the programmer (just to show how to plug it in), but that is out of sequence. The next scene shows the programmer disconnected as it should be.
Also, the method was as shown for the fob contained in the programmer kit. But the two additional fob programming went a little different, beep-wise. For the extra fobs, my programmer beeped when first plugged in and when the button was *first* pushed. I did all the other things in sequence but the programmer didn't beep. I thought that the programming hadn't happened, but the key was able to start the car.
The video is a little unclear as to how to program the door lock/unlock. I clicked the OEM fob lock/unlock and then pressed the new fob once (nothing) then twice and I get the lock. Same thing with the unlock (once, nothing, twice it unlocks).
Just bought the kit and an extra key for $160 programmed both in under 10 minutes saved me about $240. Locksmith quote 2 keys $390 dealer $240 per key plus tax

Good follow along! Thank you. Be aware, you may have to remove the keypad itself and pierce a hole where the blue light is. Mine was sealed... small drill bit opened it oup and I was able to activate my key. Follow instruction manual for accessing the key pad.

As far as a thief goes, they need one working key that starts the vehicle to use the Simple Key kit, so if they want to steal the vehicle, they’ve already got a key before they can use our kit to make another one.
I had the new key programmed within 5 minutes of watching the video and putting the original key in the ignition per instructions. NOTE: The instructions advise you "MUST HAVE A WORKING KEY or Simple Key will not work". If the buttons on the existing key fob do not work, but the key will start the vehicle, Simple Key will work - and the buttons will work on the new key fob.
What if the original fob doesn't work but the actual key works? Can you program with the actual key in the ignition?
I ordered one and it broke today . Had it for about 2 years. Ordered two and the blue light didn’t even blink , tried emailing customer service to replace the 2 ones that the light didn’t turn on and no answer . Ordered one today . Hopefully they deliver me on that actually works .

I bought a used Ram that did not come with a fob. I have a regular working key, but not a fob. Can I still program a new fob?
Probably. Call the dealership and give them the VIN. Find out if the truck originally came with a fob. If so, you can make a new one with the products at TomsKey.com and your working key.

Just bought a 2014 Ram 1500. It only came with the cut key to start it and unlock it, so no original fob. Bought the kit, it turns the truck on, but will not start it or lock/unlock. Ideas??

The truck came from the factory without the remote receiver as a base model vehicle. You might call the dealer, give your VIN, and ask if a fob can be programmed to the vehicle or if it's missing the receiver to get signals from the fob lock/unlock buttons
I bought this and two keys. One key worked great and paired easily with my truck. The other one seemed dead and never even activated. I will have to exchange it.

You need one working key to make a duplicate with Simple Key. Is he doesn't have that, I suggest calling an automotive locksmith. Should be less than the dealership.

Your video shows you programming without an existing key fob. However when I went to purchase it said " Requires 1 working Key". I have a 2010 Dodge Charger with a lost key. Please advise
Sorry for the confusion. At about 3:20 in the video the working key is used to start the engine. Then a spare key is made with the programmer. This kit makes spare keys. It requires one working key to start the engine to begin programming the extra spare key
Why did you put the fob in backwards? My fob requires the red panic button to face left. You put the new fob in with the red panic button facing right
I have the old fob but the door lock and unlock doesn't work can I still program this one if the old one doesn't work. It starts the truck just not the doors
Yes. Your new fob with this kit should have the lock/unlock working again. Unless the problem is with the locks in the doors.
I just purchased this remote. Everything worked except for the passive entry and keyless push button start. Now I have to use this as a key and not as a remote fob like intended and like my original key.

Emailed twiced, no response. Called the 800 and 888 numbers and your call text line. Sat on hold for about 30 minutes three times yesterday. Called both Ky locations of keys express aka solid keys USA. What a waste of time and money.
