    I really like this format of gathering all the trucks in the same class together and giving them a very brief no nonsense run down together, rather than reviewing them in 40 individual 20min videos.

    i bought the 74941 to haul the fan blades and i am genuinely in love with that thing. it's frighteningly massive, can pull literally anything, and i feel it doesn't burn quite as much fuel as the 74760. i love that truck too, but the 74941 just refuses to tip over and it's also amazing for rescuing other trucks due to it being (i believe) the third heaviest vehicle in the game. just wish it had more than just the high saddle

    The 6900 TwinSteer is underrated, being able to carry 4 slots of cargo without a trailer is very convenient

    • @NProvince
      @NProvince  Год назад +8

      4 slots of cargo is indeed a very convenient thing, but the length and the unstable nature of this vehicle (especially when loaded with those 4 slots of cargo) can be a liability as well.Still the Twinsteer is a very very strong vehicle and one of the better off-road performers. It’s one of the original US trucks that we can be proud of in this game

      It's stability is legendarily bad.
      Even on relative easy Phase 8 maps it managed to tilt and spill its load so often I rather went with other options.

    K-700 is a better support rig then the K7M with a maintenance trailer I think. 6 or 8 spare wheels. Over 1000 repair points (800 from K-700, 350 from trailer) and similar fuel capacity to a fuel trailer. The maintenance trailer is also much easier to to haul around as it seems so much lighter.
    It's generally pretty easy to refuel broken vehicles, repair and tires is what really matters the most and the K7M has 200 less repair and I think less tires as well.
    K7M might be better at keeping itself going as it carries onboard extra fuel. But K-700 is better for support tasks and missions.

      I do thoroughly enjoy that truck too! I’m pretty bullish on the Western Stars

  • @92c900t
    @92c900t Год назад +1

    Very nice, Nathan. I'd say the Boar is super underrated generally, it has just about the highest saddle in the game and I found it much more capable offroad than the P16, and it has a much better engine. It was fantastic for me on Yukon and is one of only a tiny number of trucks that can truly handle the 8 slot. I'd put it just behind the Dan.
    The Derry 4 is inferior to the Derry 3, as it's narrow tire set combined with the heaviest weight in game (28T) makes it sink in soft terrain up to it's chassis. That has never been a problem for me with the Derry 3194 and it's wide OHD set, it's also more stable and I've never wanted for traction. The 4520 still has major ground clearance issues and issues with axles locking up that the new engine hasn't solved. It's one of only a couple trucks I haven't bought back. The other is the Antarctic with it's horrendous steering, but as good as the CAT 745C is, it's less versatile than the Kolobs.
    I'd also swap the 49X with the 1430, the former is extremely versatile (one of the best in game with add-ons alongside the P512) and more capable off-road and just less frustrating to drive. The 1424 may belong in the off-road class. Granted, all these trucks should have the OHD set.

    I personally would put the TwinSteer significantly higher. If you play on normal mode and you always want to leave a clean map behind you before moving on, this is the only vehicle that can carry 4 slots of cargo, deliver it, recover your truck and not having to worry about the trailer. ☺️ Besides that, with the 63” tires it’s just a monster at eating mud.

  • @0ptera
    @0ptera Год назад +1

    If you go by versatility you'd have to put the CAT 745 and Kirovets tractors next to Azov Antarctic.
    They are fantastic rescue vehicles, but have next to no versatility. If anything the flatbed gives the Antarctic more versatility.

    • @NProvince
      @NProvince  Год назад +3

      I believe To be versatile you actually have to be able to use the addons that are equipped. Versatility isn’t just addons imho. The Antarctic also doesn’t have the stability to be used in many areas other than deep
      Mud and snow. The CAT 745C and the K7M can be reliable support elite off-roaders. I do definitely see your point with the flatbed

    • @0ptera
      @0ptera Год назад

      @@NProvince True, the 745C and K7M with double tires are the most stable vehicles in game.
      However they all are held back from being a great support/rescue vehicle:
      * Antarctic cant use van or maintenance addons.
      * 745C has a terrible wade depth and cant use van or maintenance addons.
      * K7M with double tires is too wide for many places and with single tires it lacks traction to pull heavier vehicles out of sticky mud.
      That's why ZiKZ 605r is the best rescue vehicle when you have a stricken Kolob xD

    To me personally, the Azov 73210 is the true king of Snowrunner. Reliability, performance and above all great flexibility, it has the complete package. If I were limited to just one truck (besides a scout) to get through the various missions, I would start with the Azov 64131 and then switch to the 73210 at lvl 20, and I honestly think in that specific scenario the less flexible Zikz would be a downgrade to the Azov 73210.
    The Westernstar 47xnf1430 is awesome for medium logs, with the two dead axles lowered it is incredibly stable. Great truck.
    Nice list, overall I agree with you.👍

    • @mrvwbug4423
      @mrvwbug4423 Год назад +1

      You just have to be careful with route choice until you get the active suspension in Amur. It doesn't like deep mud or climbing out of ditches if the nose is dragging. But love its versatility, best medium log hauler since it can do 2x medium logs and is still stable as can be doing it, and its turning radius is amazing such a nimble truck for being so big.

    • @baumgartnerrogerr
      @baumgartnerrogerr Год назад

      @@mrvwbug4423 Yes, you are absolutely right, the Azov definitely needs the active suspension. Otherwise his chin is really an Achilles' heel. Hmm, coming to think of it again, if I would have to complete the regions in order I wouldn't be in a hurry to go for the Azov 7. I usually switch between regions a lot in the beginning, first rebuilding the bridges everywhere, clearing the roads and grabing the vehicles and upgrades everywhere. Clearing the tunnel in Urska early game and getting to Cernokamensk from Cosmodrom with a not fully upgraded Azov 6 wouldn't be a problem though. On my first playthrough I did the bridge missions and tunnel in Urska with a Pacific P512 and a CAT CT681 and they both did way better than I expected.🙂

      i'm not sure it's better than the zikz performance wise, but it's maneuverability and add-on selection about make up for it. it's pretty damn good off road and has the same engine as the zikz so they can both pull anything. the only thing i feel gives the crown to the zikz is its roof rack supplies and being able to walk through death snow and mud like the 42-20 and 745c.the 73210 sits too low to the ground for that stuff

  • @varanzmaj
    @varanzmaj Год назад

    Thanks for the updated list. I'm going through a new game+ playthrough (exploring Year 2 conent which I havent done so far) and The Western Star 1424 and 1430 have quickly become some of my favorite trucks. No idea why they are listed as heavy trucks though, they should be heavy duty. However I'm using a suspension mod that tunes all the vanilla and DLC truck suspensions (and torsion moments) to more realistic settings (no more crazy bounces, and the trucks feel like trucks instead of toy trucks) this has a twofold effect. It makes the game both easier and harder depending on what you are doing, what you are hauling and how you drive. This mod leaves most of the trucks other settings untouched but it does give the 1430 it's much needed switchable differential locking. This doesn't make it overpowered, since many other trucks still beat it in most departments but it makes it a lot more usable in muddy conditions, where it usually suffers.

    The NF 1424 has a roof rack, yes. But using it makes this truck so tippy. For example, you want to leave the garage in Maine, heading the fuel station. Bypassing the first broken bridge.... uff...
    Without the roof rack, it is more stable, but there are better options to do the job, and his brother, the 49X, is one of them :-)

    • @NProvince
      @NProvince  Год назад +1

      Yep, that does make it sway for sure, that’s why I think using a semi trailer will help balance this truck by creating angles from truck and trailer to keep this thing on its wheels. Love the 49x btw :) Love the Western Stars

    Appreciate your effort in making the list but sadly I think 99% are using mods. The fun is lost in the main gameplay. I am not against mods, I use them too in rock crawling or mudbogging with friends on mod maps, even in the in game maps. If using mods for the missions, I feel like the real challenge is lost somehow. However, each their own.
