He did the right thing by nuking NRS. Because we all expected a great MK game but we all got fooled and got a pig in the bag instead. And many shills think that guest characters gonna save MK1. No they don't. Nothing will save MK1. Nothing! The only thing what NRS can do, is to start all over. Trash MK1, start new MK game, re do everything, do the game in style of MK9 with tons of content and stuff, without any BS and only then it will fix the situation that NRS got themselves in to. But since they are not gonna do that, the situation will remain the same, if not becoming worse.
Let's just get John Tobias back in any way possible. They can afford Ronda Rousey, John Cena, Megan Fox, Jean-Claude Van Damme, etc. Why can't they just pay Tobias to come back?

John Tobias has NOT made good games outside of the MK games he made with Boon.
This is the first MK that feels like NRS made massive mistakes. MK feels lost now. Booting up MK1 and fighting Homelander feels like a completely out of place, souless cash grab.
I hope MK fans remember how bad we got screwed whenever the next MK is announced. I think seeing how the next MK sells will give us a better idea of where the franchise is headed.
People will probably buy it because the name mortal kombat holds a lot of value for what it was. I hope people don't buy the next release and wont buy the expansion or kombat pass 2 for the current game.

To be fair, Mortal Kombat 11 did have better customisation options and more gear pieces..
Oh don't forget about the augments slot and the JINESI AUGMENTS which I still feel like is the most OP thing Mortal Kombat has ever put in the game...

I love MK1, but it is not yet finished on its journey of completion to compete with MK11 Ultimate and konquer it.... yet at least.

Just decided to play back in mk1 yesterday after not playing after over a month , the way how the game caters to low level playing scrubs it’s crazy , just wake up meter no matter what and kameos just scrubby I only played like 3 matches then turn off the PlayStation 🤦♂️ I’ve been playing mkx since and over a month now and there still good amount of players online , nrs just garbage now

But , I will agree. I also miss everything that Mortal Kombat is known for. They are the blueprint of the game.

Been a fan of realm for a while I loved his mk11 rant videos, he’s one of the few RUclipsrs I’ve heard calling out nrs
The 3d or as i call them the ps2 Era was good the lore was great and the gameplay was fun the nrs era not so much

Fate, Midway didn't go bankrupt over Mortal Kombat and Ed Boon.
They had already moved MK to Home Consoles (PS2 and XBOX).
MIDWAY went bankrupt due to greed on arcade games that were NOT MK. Delusional greed to presume that all the arcade machines and boards the were making was going to survive the test of time.
MK survived with Ed Boon at the helm.
