I don't see why Jade isn't one of the 6 fighters when you consider how much she has been teased throughout the game's dialogue and how much demand she has gotten from fans. Not to mention all the people complaining about no females in the first DLC pack. You would think NRS would have at least listened to that and made sure that was at least one female for Kombat pack 2. This is why I'm questioning how legit this leak really is.
She'll probably be included in the final dlc pack just like Mileena in MK11

I don't see a problem with guest characters I just feel like for a first pack there was too many. And the characters they did include 2 of them WERE ALREADY IN THE GAME TECHNICALLY. I like guest characters I just feel like they're not bringing the badass MK characters to balance out some legitimately cool guests.

There is no place for Conan to be in Mortal Kombat 1 as a guest character because the guest character theme is gonna be violent superheroes who are based on the comics and the streaming series. And we need a shokan character to be in Mortal Kombat 1 as an actual, playable character; which is Kintaro. For example, Goro was in Mortal Kombat X as a DLC returning character and Sheeva was in Mortal Kombat 11 as a DLC returning character. So, NetherRealm Studios is probably doing the same thing with Kintaro.
all the devs can’t leave the past, if they put guests we need like deadpool, blade, game crossovers like halo elites, it would only bring new players bc mk fans are happy with mk characters , i grew up playing stuff like gears with friends and try to get them on mk and it seems like they just need something shiny to peak their interest and want to learn the game

He might replace them with someone else because Ghostface, Conan, and T-1000 should all be completely scrapped from Kombat Pack 2. And when we watch the Kombat Pack 2 trailer, we should see a lot of surprises.
Why 3 guest characters every dlc now? It's too much. Just give us 1 guest (preferably none) and 5 MK characters. MK is turning into a roster like Multiversus. Multiversus would be a better name for this game and actually make sense then.
I don't know, NRS normally do themes with each game. MK1 being super hero/villain themed, none of these suit that. unless Kombat Pack 2 is a complete different theme then possibly? but still... what's the theme with these 3 guess characters? Future, Past and Present? probably the worse Kombat Pack to date if true. still baffles me that Kratos is still the only video game character in MK, I'd love them to show love to the industry they're in. I'd take any video game guest characters, Zagreus from Hades, like FATE said Doom Slayer and, Ichiban from Yakuza/Like a Dragon (since he has an overreactive imagination I actually think he could work in the MK universe)

Right? MK essentially became sort of like a official mugen game but for the guest characters. It is no longer MK, it's more of a free for all game where you can basically expect anyone people like to see in the game. Well, by people I mean newcomers who are either teenagers or those who got themselves in to the series a lot later, like during 3D era for example or MK9 era. I personally got in to the series from OG times, with original MK1, and because of that I don't like where NRS and WB are taking their game. Because it's fan service does not please everybody but only newcomers or those who came to series a lot later. But what about the OG fans? Well, looks like NRS forgot about us or simply don't care because, they can't frigging give us whatever we want. And then stupid publisher is banning fan made dream projects that would bring something that we want, like MK HD Remix for example. WB simply cancelled it. And yes, I know about that post of eyebalistics that they are cooking something, but it is not HD Remix but more of something new and completely different.

With guest characters it should make sense and shouldn't just be random characters. I think Pinhead from Hellraiser could fit in Mortal Kombat but I feel like he would use some of Cetrion's moves. As for a returning character I would like to see Kira come back but I do understand if she doesn't come back since she plays similar to Kano in the 3d era.

Mortal Kombat 9: Kratos as a PlayStaion exclusive character and Freddy Krueger as a horror icon.
Mortal Kombat X: Jason Voorhees and Leatherface Slaughter as horror icons and Predator and Alien as 80’s action Sci-Fi characters.
Mortal Kombat 11: The Terminator, RoboCop, and Rambo as 80’s action heroes and The Joker and Spawn as comic book antiheroes.
Mortal Kombat 1: Omni-Man, Peacemaker, and Homelander as comic book antiheroes who are from streaming series (Amazon Prime Video and HBO Max).
I think Mortal Kombat 1 should be focusing on getting more comic book antiheroes who are from streaming series (Amazon Prime Video and HBO Max). But if Doom Slayer does ever get into the game, I think video game antiheroes could be the next guest character theme for the next Mortal Kombat game.

Coan and the T-1000 wouldn't be good guest characters at all. The Doomslayer would make sense though. Lobo would be a great guest character for Mortal Kombat.
I really don't have so much an issue with guest characters, so as long as they fit and aren't half of the planned releases. Sprinkle one in here in there. Like, I LOVE every guest pick individually for who they are, but I also acknowledge the majority DO NOT fit in MK. I prefer a grand return of reworked past kombatants. Just because they can be gory and brutal doesn't automatically they are perfect fits as guests. Of the leaks, I really only believe Conan could be believable in an MK setting since in his world there is magic and sorcery, and a whole lot of combat. He's the only guest I have truly looked forward to.
As much as a pain as it would be, NRS should just try to make a horror fighting game at this point. I LOVE horror, but I do not need to have them in MK. Clearly people want it. It's only divisive in this sense because half the base wants to see older characters established properly or reimagined in a better way and not have the game flooded with guests.

They also shouldn't be charging $8 for MK fighters that have no additional licensing agreements attached. $5 for MK DLC fighters is more than plenty. Kameo fighters are also way overpriced at $5; they should be $2 or $3 at the very max.

All of the dlc characters dont even intrigue me at all, except for noob saibot. Neither did kombat pack 1 intrigued me either other than ermac, takeda, and quan chi. This is probably the only time where im not gonna use my money on a game dlc at all.

I don't know why, but I feel he will fight similarly to Kotal Kahn. I think he even had a Conan skin in Mortal Kombat 11 if I'm not mistaken. The T1000? I'm with you on wishing they'd be rid of guest characters. Since they're obviously going to continue incorporating them in the games for the foreseeable future, I do think Conan would be a good choice for one. He's brutal, he's a melee specialist, he's a slayer of evil serpent worshipping sorcerer's (among others), and he's from a realm where sorcery and demon are very real. I can't believe they're adding Ghostface. It's ridiculous. I think if they're going to add guests, they should fit in as a believable MK character like you said.
There is no place for Ghostface, Conan, and T-1000 to be in Mortal Kombat 1 because they are all gonna be scrapped when it comes to both of the official trailers for the story expansion and Kombat Pack 2. And don’t forget that Ed Boon would rather get us pranked than spoil it for us.

Now, with MK1 rebooting it all, and ruining some Characters (my opinions on ruined are Havik, Tanya and Rain), downgrading and gameplay Setup, and don't get me started on the kameo system! Also honestly, the Guest Character trope should've ended with MKX! Because the Guests in MK9 and XL (via: Kratos, Freddy Kruger, Jason Vorhees, Leatherface, Xenomorph and Predator) were perfect and I mean perfect because they fit well in the mk universe! The two things i don't like about this is one, why is Conan even being put in mk when we had conan skin for kotal khan in mk11. Seems lazy, plus nobody young will even know who tf conan even is lol but two, i seriously would not like to see noob, cyrax, and sektor in this steaming pile of garbage of a game. I do not want to play one of my favorite characters of all time, which is noob, in a very lazily made mk. He already has a shadow, i dont want him to be like another kenshi who is essentially the only character that you have to face 3 characters which is quite stupid for an assist fighter. Nrs just cant stop being a bad developer company cause when Midway left, it has been in shambles since smh🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️

Havoc: He needs at least five new attack strings, he needs his legacy move that titan havoc has were he takes off his head and rolls it but its a mid, has the same affect as reptiles acid ball, and also hits mid exploding on contact. he also needs another one of his legacy moves that again titan havoc has where he bends his hole body for a low projectile and the amp of that can be a knock down allowing for combo extentions for cameos like scorpion
Sub-zero: he needs his attack strings made slightly faster except for his overhead, he also needs 1 or 2 new attack string launchers, both his regular and amp iceball needs to be faster to not only be able to combo with it off of normal attack strings but in juggle combos too. He should have the ability to throw his ice clone, i also think he should have his ice burst special back with the same proporties as mkx to compliment his ice clone(but just does not send you that far away). lastly he needs some of his damage scailing off ground freeze.
Scorpion: should be buffed by making his amp ground tp a launcher again and make the cancel built in to both his regular and amp tp. buff the amp hellfire move by removing the damage over time and making it function like how it does in mkx allowing him to combo after hitting it. he needs new strings some mix ups(i personally want his mkx overhead back). some moves need to be sped up
Quan shi: needs his mind control move from mkx back, and make half his attack strings faster. and finally his low tentacle needs to be one bar
Raiden: change raiden's b2 back to the mkx launcher but make it as slow as sub'z b2. give him back his vicinity blast move back with the same properties as mkx. Give him back his mkx amp lightning projectile back for combo extentions but have his regular fully charged move have the same proportys as the amp. he also needs to be buffed by making his amp electrocute special launch no matter how many bars he uses
liu kang: for starters nerf his f4 one button pressure but give him his 113 mkx launcher back along with maybe 2 or 3 more new attack strings to make up for his pressure and to make it less braindead. make his low fireball slightly faster, change his air fireball to the mkx fireball and the amp the one we have now. give him back his mk 11 dragon parry, and finally make his fatal blow start up 2 hits but the first one restands
kung lao: nerf tf out of his wake up special by making it unsafe af on block. give him back his mkx or 9 spin back but have it have work the same as mk11 so he can use it more than two times in a combo. swap his dive kick now for a mix between his mkx or 9 dive kick. he needs his mkx tp, and his low hat back, but nerf his mix up buttion's he has now by making the overhead follow up slightly slower. give him his mk11 21212 attack string and his mkx 44 launcher attack string back. and also he needs his hat spin.
Nitara: buff her by making her command dash like homelander so for instance all of her normal attack strings that leaves her in the air cost no bar anymore to command dash and it cost no bar when she is in the air command dashing for combos but the next one after that does. and also make fer overhead that leaver her in the air slightly faster. she should also be able plus after hitting her bf2 special allowing her to cameo combo after it. lastly give her back her legacy projectile move back.
Reiko: give him his invasion boss special move, the one is like jades dead butterfly move from mk11 but it launches and he uses his spear(this is already in the game files btw). give this guy at least 1 more special move that involes his knife that's on his person but he never uses for some reason. he needs like 5 new normal attack stings involving his knife and his spear, maybe 2 of them be launchers.
smoke: give him his smoke cloud move back from mk9, along having it hit low but have the same start up as the one he got now. make his command dash special cancelable anywhere instead of just near yr opponent. also another command dash sending him backwards but the max distance is half screen but he can cancel it at any time during that animation too. and lastly make it easyer to do ground combos after his amp db 4 special.

Jade, Skarlett, Kai, Noob, Hotaru, Nightwolf. That's all you need, no guests. That will cover the no blacks and females issues.
Both Skarlet and Hotaru are not coming to Mortal Kombat 1 as DLC returning characters at all. Also, Nightwolf is not on the main roster. He’s only in the “Test Your Might” mode. So, he’s not gonna be a playable character.
