- A third set?! Were they in they in house?! Did they really come over after playing the Beacon with the Allman Brothers?!
YES THEY DID!!!
After a set with Lee Fields and another with Robert Randolph, Soulive took the stage again! And during their opening number, out crept Derek Trucks to finish off the jam. WOW! But wait, was that really him lurking in the shadows grooving to the music? IT WAS!!!
So with a little old Blues standard made legendary by the most famous King, Warren took the stage and what will forever be known as THE ELUSIVE THIRD SET happened!

The thrill is not gone for me with these amazing musicians collaborating to cover another incredible musician's original and classic song. If only I could have been at this show...
This is incredible. Eric more than holds his own with the two legends.
3 of my 5 favorite guitar players walking the earth. Thank you much sir.
The entire concert is freaking awesome!
He's the guitarist for Soulive and Lettuce (funk band). He also co-wrote a couple of tracks on the Tedeschi Trucks record from 2011.
LIke someone else already said, Wow! Holy effing WOW! From 9:00 on is an extraordinary trip through funk, blues, jazz, rock, blues rock, and whatever other amalgamation of R&B funkiness you can dream up.
Someone after my own heart and knows when and where to zoom in! Fantastic!
I was here! One of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Warren rolled up later in the night after playing in the city IIRC.
Feel so lucky to have seen these greats together for like $20- and they played until at least 2 AM
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME !!! Thanks for sharing !!!!!
Unbelievable. I detect a bit of Blues Traveler's "Mulling it Over" at around 9:55. Popper sat in the night before, so, maybe it was still in their heads. If Popper had been there that night... Whoa. This is such a monster jam.I love how in awe Eric Kranso seems when Derek pulls out the slide from his pockets. I couldn't get a ride from Jersey either of these nights, so these are amazing. Thank you for posting. Killer videography and sound. Peace and Love. Jam On !
great footage, good sound too!
thanks!
I miss this days when music was music
May this song live on forever.... damn
bb
Warren ripped that solo in half. Smooth.
Must have been a real treat 2 those in attendance. Hopefully this will happen again during the week. My bet would be Thursday due 2 the ABB playing Fri,Sat & Sun this weekend. Nice footage.
Multiple Eargasms:)
WOW!!! The three of them just build off each other
this gets funky as hell at the end thanks for the post
Nice pass Warren........A true Gentleman...
The best of the old, is new again! Play it again Sam.
Once again all you kiddo's you missed out on real, live music. Take the journey open your minds.
Love the call and response at 6:14
Love!
The way Derek plays makes other guitarists watch him.
After a sit-in like this...those in attendance were some lucky bastards.
This cover of the Thrill is gone may be the best I've ever heard and Brooklyn Bowl...WOW!! Great work Marc! Derek and Warren are two of my favorite artists ever and Krasno aint to bad him self. Just love This! Mad props!🤘🙌💙🎸🎶
I love the three of these guys, but Derek is on a different level. Virtuoso status.
Please. Krasno schools both of them.
@@MichaelCrutcher Lol Derek eats Krasno
simply, WOW!"
Amen to that. I never understood when that happens. It's like what they have to say is "better" than the music. "STFU".
superb comp on the thrill
That's how it's done people !
that's smooth
hey samba hes playing a straight fender here bro tube 212 combo. usually plays soldano fuchs marshall etc..
Wizard Warren!
does anyone know who Eric Krasno is? that dude can play
Anybody know what amp Warren is using?
Go Warren. .
But one thing you can say for Warren, he can sing AND play great guitar!
Fuckin' A- the soul is dripping out of my computer and shorting it out.
The guy playing the hollow body, his solo sounded like a sax solo somehow. The way he blended notes maybe.
Haha, that person's scream at 7:19
I think Warren is a virtuoso as well!
let em try that at a Bob Weir show!
whats on drum? a midi?
Terrifics, yeap..hehehe
You can barely hear Derek! Dang.
me too
I'd do that shit free of charge
B.b. is smiling now wishing he had a seat on the front row.
That guy Kranso is pretty good if he can play with the other two.
someone turn derek up.
Now I'm pissed, Warren nor Derek is loud enough, Mix uh?
Imagine getting paid to do what Derek and warren do
Eric Krasno is way too loud during this, especially during rhythm and you can barely hear D Trucks under the mix. What a shamee
from where the camera's at there's a good chance you're hearing his amp, not the mix. a little further back where you're mainly hearing the mix, he's likely balanced.
Derek is low but if you see him live than you know how to follow his sound.....
There is a reason he is married to Susan Tedeschi
Eric Krasno is bad to the bone.
