Susan Tedeschi is Awesome.....Sensational Voice and a Brilliant Guitarist.....The only time I'm disappointed is when she Sings and doesn't Play! Derek is a Lucky Fella, what a Couple.
I first saw TTB live in Toronto a few years ago. Was sitting second row centre, and Derek's magnificent, soaring solo on Midnight in Harlem literally brought tears to my eyes. I thought that was weird, so i turned around to look back at the crowd behind me to find out that my eyes weren't the only ones that had gone moist. It was that moving. And now i've watched this video, and this time I found myself tearing up on Susan's rough yet searing solo--especially when she peaks at the end of it and goes back to the mic to sing the next verse with the emotion and power reminiscent of all the legendary blues men and women who came before her. I don't know about the rest of you but I'm thinking the Tedeschi Trucks Band may be the rightful heir to the greatest bands from the 70s, ABB et al. The best of America, 2019.

Then these guys came along, and so did John Mayer and a few others, and I'm thinking the future of blues and R&R is safe with these people. They've got me excited, and that's not so easy to do anymore. Thank you TTB!
+buckfan1969 I have to say to you keep on hearing great music and you will stay excited and feel alive, what you do with that feeling is up to you, rock on!!!
+buckfan1969 Add Samantha FIsh to this list too,,,,, Thank the Lord there'll still be music after I'm gone,,,
+John Murphy I agree. Samantha Fish is fantastic.

A marriage made in heaven
One of the most underrated guitarists she jams so hard and soft! And then there is Derek... what a combo!
Janis showed women vocalists how to open up and sing from their gut. It's honest and more about the song & feeling than just sounding pretty.
Love this woman.
Sometime before I die I would love to see Bonnie Raitt up on stage with TTB. Can you imagine Susan and Bonnie singing and the playing.
Every time i watch this I’m amazed at so many different parts. Tonight its the strangling she gives that guitar . She squeezed out every bit of music that thing had in it that night.
I watch this at least once a week. I cant get enough of it. Such a flawless and emotion filled performance. Hair stands on the back of my neck every time.
I love how they make each other smile 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁👍
Great performance, Blues Music at it's very best. Never knew of the "Tedeschi Trucks Band" until today, 17th February 2024. I'm impressed, very impressed. Regards, Michael M. Kamau, Nairobi, Kenya, East Africa, 17th February 2024.
Please enjoy all their heartfelt music. Blues, yeah, so good.
Susan Tedeschi is Awesome.....Sensational Voice and a Brilliant Guitarist.....The only time I'm disappointed is when she Sings and doesn't Play! Derek is a Lucky Fella, what a Couple.
I love the way he looks at her and smiles after their duet.
Her playing is very tasteful. A lot to learn from her. Less is more sometimes
Susan just grinding some down home nasty blues and Derek smooth as silk slide. Lovin' it!
Preach! 😎
Amen Gonzogourmet!! So fortunate to live in their time. I wish them long life, love, happiness and continued success, not for what it means to them but for what they mean to me👏🏾😘👏🏾😘👏🏾😘
These beautiful people are the most talented couple I have ever heard! One of them is just as talented as the other! I am in a wheelchair now, no big deal, and this video had me rolling and rocking! If I had big money I would spend it to sit in their studio for a day or two just to watch and listen...
GOD!! I’m chilled all over ! BOTH OF THEM JUST GOT ME ! Wow!! Love love love love it ! Susan’s guitar playing is fan-fuck-ing-tastic ! She’s an inspiration! OH! But - wait HE adds his equally moving and thrilling solo and BAM!
I’m moved, impressed, and so appreciative that they knew or someone encouraged to start playing , and , they kept at it , and continued with it and look what gift became of that first bright idea.
Thank you, to all members of TTB!! It brings joy to my heart to watch you bare yours thru those vocals and guits!! Bravo !!! I can’t wait to see you !
💖🌟👏
I love how they dig each other's playing.
i am a sixty years old guy fromaustria, but all i can say is wow.just great
Alois I am in awe as well. I would love to play harmonica with these musicians!...This is phenomenal 😎 In Sarasota FL USA, they used to have a Blues festival and I saw Derek Trucks as a young vituoso. This makes me almost as happy as my impending nuptials to the man of my dreams. He told me last week by text ...may my dreams become reality and my reality become my dreams! He is my TJ, my hero my rock and the love of my life... in addition to my music. I cannot wait for him to hear my song I wrote for him! And I'm very close to your age as well!
Trucks approves of his wife's playing!
love the dual solo in this one.. I keep coming back thru the years..
incredibly talented couple and how they exchange their love on stage
Seriously! What an AMAZING talent in Susan Tedeschi!!! And that VOICE😲
I love the way Susan smiles when she sees Derek playing
Damn, I mean holy fucking shit, I think that describes better this amazing performance by Tedeschi Trucks. I feel like beating myself up because I have not been paying attention and I've just recently found out about this band and this couple! Anybody that's a fan should probably thank the universe everyday that these two found each other. 😎
Mari Sundell, hopefully you've seen videos of Derek Trucks with the Allman Brothers Band. I've seen them a few times once when Susan's band opened up for them before they were married. Such a great band Susan and Derek have.
Check out their song Midnight in Harlem. Be sure to catch them when they come to your town.🎸🎶🥁🎙🎶🐕🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
@@FriendtoAnimals-ol7gr I do recall seeing Derek playing with the Allman Brothers in the later years but by then I wasn't following them very much. To be honest I have never been a avid fan even as great as they were they just weren't my thing you know? But that's why when I seen the Tedeschi Trucks Band I was just completely caught off guard and blown away and since then I have delved into the Derek Trucks Band, Susan Tedeschi Band, Derek solo Susan solo, pretty much everything I can get my hands on just in this past week They have made me rethink the music I have been listening to and following through the past years
@@FriendtoAnimals-ol7gr Midnight in Harlem is amazing and I already missed them this year they were in Detroit late this past summer I seen. Now I'm crying like the sky is crying
Best band in America today. Fabulous live too!
I'm jealous!
Really like this group and indeed she is an awesome front woman.
Best mom and pop band on the planet.
So one day their son goes to school and tells everyone "my mom and dad have this band"...and all his friends nod their heads and think..."how corny".
Best song on you tube. I listen to this every evening drinking a cold one since I discovered it last month. What rock music means to me.
Just found them tonight! 5 times on just this one tune.
Susan can flat out play excellent Chicago style buildup moving up the neck through the verses with great bending to boot. She's downright dangerous
Yeah and she’s not in top 10 female guitarist lists. But Joan Jett is. SMFH.
This woman is pure sole and talent.
Dereck well he’s in a class all by himself.
Love Susan's solo and the roar of (mainly male) guitarists that follows. Derek's smile says it all. Fabulous group.
