    Well it's been a while for a few reasons but I am back making content.
    In the few months I've been away my whole family had Covid19, I dealt with issues with my eyes and I delivered the last part of my Masters in VR. It's been a mad time in my life but things are normalising for me now.
    Did you see Maxon bought ZBrush? That had to be the biggest shock of my life and I think we should discuss that and what it means for Forger app!

    I was so frustrated with the inaccurate reflections on Nomad, but this was incredibly informative and helpful, thank you!

    Cool its like real old school spherical reflection maps from before the days of Ray tracing, I remember them well. 3DS used to be able to render a cubic reflection thing I seen to remember.

      Absolutely! I used to do this in 3DS in the early 90s. And now we are doing it on a slice of glass on our desks or even ours phones lol

    Great to see you back with your videos, Glen! As for zbrush being bought out - crazy stuff. I’ve heard people wonder if Forger will be rebranded as zbrush mobile light, but don’t know how many zbrush features an iPad could handle. Only time will tell…

      Cheers Dan. It going to be interesting to see if there will be any connection between Forger and ZBrush at all. So many unknowns

    Such a simple yet effektive trick. Very cool 🤩
    Did you model that scene entirely in Nomad?

    • @SouthernGFX
      @SouthernGFX  2 года назад +2

      For sure. It’s just basic primitives to be honest and minutes worth of work. I’ll do a video on it maybe

    Question - what sort of polycount you can get on Nomad?

    • @SouthernGFX
      @SouthernGFX  2 года назад +1

      I can get over 30 million in a scene before any slow down and I’ve had 40 but it becomes slow and eventually crashes. That’s using a 2021 iPad Pro with 16gb RAM. About 25 million with the 2020 ipad. The odd thing is that to get over 30 million I will only be using about 6 GB of the available 16GB on the 2021 model.
