    Thanks Glen, so glad your posting again and on 3d printing no less. Creating my own models to 3d print is the reason I got into nomad/ taking your courses

    Really nice to hear someone else call it zee brush. Lately I’ve been hearing people call it zed brush which is fine but they give you weird. Look when I say zee brush.

    Wonderful content. Looking forward to other tutorials from your channel, you are one of the first content creators for this app and if it blows up you could be one of the top channels. Keep up the amazing work!

      Thanks. I do love mobile sculpting and I’m praying Nomad doesn’t get bought out like Forger App did.

    Thanks Glen…I haven’t done 3d printing (yet), but when SouthernGFX does a video, I’m there. I might learn something by accident. ✌️🍷🎩🎩🎩

    Well I’ve been wanting tho do a load of 3DPrinting related videos for ages and I finally got around to it this week. I wish we could slice on the iPad but I can’t seem to find any software to do that yet. Let me know if you know of one and I’ll do a video about it. I believe there are online slicers that may work.

    Thanks for the video! It’s so frustrating to see loss of detail when voxel merging. I have tried voxel merging at super high numbers and still get jagged seams. I posted about it on the FB group. Anyway, wonderful video! I’ve grown in my abilities mostly from your instruction! Thanks again!

    Thank you for your videos, you are a very good teacher, just started with the program, amazing. I've been using 3D to make jewelry for 15 years but something organic always a problem to achieve. Zbrush too expensive and too complicated, and I need sculpting maybe 3-4 times a year so Nomad sounds like a good solution, as I can brink my file in do sculpting and after export for print

    The video is great, thanks!!! I'm wondering what kind of stand are you using for your Ipad. It seems a great one for drawing, as it offers an extra lateral support.

    Do you think you’d ever do a tutorial free or otherwise (though would be obvs if you had if paid and would pay anything for it haha) of your xenomorphs? Would be the besttttttt

      I already did. It’s in the issue of 3DWorld magazine shown here. Once the magazine has been out for some time I’ll re post it here but it will also be on Creative Bloq soon enough :)

    Howdy there! Thank you so much for all of your helpful tutorials! I’m new to Nomad and have been working on a sculpture for the last few weeks and would like to 3D print it. I’ve already voxel merged all of its body and smoothed out the jagged edges caused from the merge. I forgot the base though :(
    Once I add the base do I need to voxel merge it again? I noticed that you did a simple merge in one of the examples, but I have read on several forums that it needs to be “water tight” and simple merging (according to the forums) causes “blowouts” or holes. Have you tried 3D printing after simple merging, and were the results good? Sorry for the lengthy comment/question, I hope it makes sense. Thank you for making such informative content.

    Sorry if this is there is an obvious answer to my question but I’ve been 3D printing for a while now but just recently started 3D modeling my own models using nomad sculpt, but would reducing the polygon size down let the detail I’ve added to my model show more when I print it? I’ve tried to print two different models and the details pretty much disappear when I print it despite having a lot of detail in the actual mode

    hiya! Do you know how to do things to scale in nomad? Or do you just change scale in chitubox?

    • @SouthernGFX
      @SouthernGFX  Год назад +1

      Both. The scale in Nomad is very small. The default primitives are about 1mm and the units are of course mm. Open any primitive then scale it to the dimensions you want to work in. For example a cube 50x50x50 will be a 5cm cube. Then validate it and use it as your starting scale. Then model within that shape but use the measure tool from the tool bar to get more accurate measurements as you work. It’s time I did another video on the subject I think.

      @@SouthernGFX amazing thank you so much for the tips!! I always opened it in chithu and it would be this tiny little thing and had no idea how to rescale! Would really appreciate another vid!!

      @@justynea7171 not a problem. I’ll add it to the list. I’ve had such a busy year in the studio I’ve had to slow down on the RUclips videos sadly. Getting back to it now
