This is a 30k option offered from Dodge from the factory that was only offered to a select few celebrities and brand loyal enthusiasts. Only 40 cars were selected to have these special paint jobs making them the most unique Demon 170's in the world. What do you think about the Pink Panther Demon 170? Would you rock it?

I'm 74 and lived the original muscle car days and I am a MOPAR fanantic. Panther pink was a one year color in 1970. It was a spring color addition alone with Green Go, or sassy grass green if a Plymouth. I was ONLY a 1970 color and was not available in 71 although I believe there were special order cars that wete made in the color in 71. I am as straight as they come and a Vietnam veteran and retired state trooper and not a bit shy in saying pink and purple are my favorite colors. A little history. One of General George Washington's favorite suits was pink. Pink was for boys and blue was for girls. It got reversed in the 1920's when Sears and other clothing magazines started to reverse the colors. For me, a man who won't wear or be in a pink car has homephopic tendencies. My favorite MOPAR in panther pink was the 1970 Challenger T/A. Just like this 170, it had a lot of black to break up the pink. My gun bag is pink!

This Demon looks more like Furious Fuchsia (PHP) than it does Panther Pink (FM3), imo. FM3 is quite a bit brighter. I’d like to know what the paint code for this Demon is really.

The automaker did come up with a Furious Fuchsia Pearl Coat wearing paint code (PHP) in 2010 for a limited edition model of the modern Challenger. That color was a much darker color than FM3.

Dodge called the heritage color Panther Pink and Plymouth called it Moulin Rouge. Very cool! I have heard that they also did a yellow 170.

The common person doesn’t want to spend $250k for a Dodge. I had a hard time paying $100k for a hellcat jailbreak.
Agree, the cool and appealing aspects of the Hellcats are they were excellent performance for the money... nearly 200mph top speed for under 100k... wow. The Demon 170 is neither of those things and just seems to me money like this (which is inching to super car territory) could be better spent on a wide range of more unique/capable vehicles than something that simply goes down the quarter mile quickly (but still slightly slower than a Tesla).

If you truly are the owner of a Dodge Challenger Hellcat Jailbreak, you're very fortunate. Why do people keep saying, "it's only a Dodge?" I have a Dodge and love it. Dodge has had the best and most expensive trucks on the market. Dodge has been good, so I don't know why people act like it's a Yugo or something! I'd get the Dodge Challenger Hellcat Red-Eye Widebody Jailbreak that has comes with extra paint colors and trim options and goes 211mph. Depending on the color a person chooses in the Red-Eye Jailbreak, it will be fairly rare and a collectable, if people can avoid hitting deer with them!
I get what you are saying Fureio. I love MOPAR and I had a 2015 Charger Hellcat and a 2017 Challenger Hellcat. (Wish I had kept them.) However, I am now a BMW guy. I figure if I am going to spend over 100k for a car, I want some luxury along with performance. I have had a 21 Alpina B7, a 5500 pound car and it was way faster than the Hellcats. Mainly due to the all wheel drive in the Bimmer. I now have a 24 BMW M4 and it is as fast as a Hellcat in the quarter with only 510 HP, all due to the all wheel drive. It's too bad that Dodge never offered an AWD system on their cars. No matter how I tried to launch my Hellcat's, you just could not hook up.

The only pink cars I would drive is that and the 70 challenger you shown and the cadillac that Elvis drove. I think it was a 59 cadillac Deville. For the cadillac I would put a pair of felt dice in the rear view mirror.

Love this color! They should totally bring back another color, Top Banana! That was a great color in the 1970’s and the 2000’s, nowadays they don’t use that color anymore.

Back in mid 1970 Panther Pink (Dodge) Mulan Rouge(Plymouth) was introduced. It is the rarest color of any of the muscle cars at that time. The owner knew what he ordered. He knew his Mopar’s. In person it’s a lighter shade.
Challengers look better in brighter colors. Hellraisin is a beautiful color, however the lines of the car look so good it would be a shame to not show them off. Dark colors do not do the car justice.
I agree I bought one that was a beautiful indigo blue but a year later I traded it for a white one. The body lines and graphics just pop on the white one.
@@rightousman White Knuckle has a vintage throwback look to it. Another good option would have been B5 Blue. Indigo Blue isn't a bad option, I've seen people do some impressive stuff with it. It's one of the more versatile colors when it comes to dark paint jobs.

I'm still on the hunt for the Furious Fuchsia 40th anniversary edition that released in 2010 with the only year the 2nd gen challenger had that color and as a 392, 6-speed manual and shaker included
2010 had no Shaker. They came out in 2014 with the Shaker.
I am so far from a pink guy, however mopars with the pink panther color is absolutely stunning!
No other cars though.
These jailbreaks demon 170 were all built black and painted afterwards. That’s why the engine bay is black.
I'm not a Pink guy, but have seen 2 kinds that I'd own on a car like this that's completely awesome, despite people complaining about the vehicle being governed to 149mph. This Furious Fuchsia and like a Flourescent Hot Pink Candy metallic I've seen and thought were just really great looking.

These high impact colors were '70 and S.O. '71 for original hues. Plymouth version is called Moulin Rouge, Dodge Panther Pink. Too bad it's a grayscale day because your shirt pops more than that Panther Pink and that ain't right !!! 👀

if you were charging a customer 30k for a paintjob on top of a 200k dollar car you think dodge could have did a better job painting it, they left the engine bay black, it was just a repaint car done at the upfitter…
