I don’t recall anything about Boba’s armor being made of worser quality Beskar. It looks more worn, but it is Jango’s armor, which looked to be in the same condition as Mando’s during the prequels. Even then, dude gets hit with plasma fire and the armor is unaffected.
I was going under the explanation in the Mandalorian, and Rebels too I believe, where the armor's purity has degraded over time due to lack of resources, though yeah, the point is moot when the armor that survived the disintegration lightning would've been of that "lower quality", plus Fett's armor's feats itself.
Beskar doesn't really degrade like other metals, gotta keep in mind most suits of beskar armor are hundreds if not thousands of years old and are passed down generationally and these are suits that have seen hundrends of battles over their lifetime probably. In rebels Sabines armor is a few hundred years old at least.
I feel like they skimmed out on Predator stuff,the animation while pretty cool,did not showcase a Elder Yautja well,it was more like a young blood. Running after injured prey,is rookie mistake.
I don’t know why, but the ending of this fight just rubs me the wrong way. I won’t argue the results, but the overall execution seemed so disorganized between Boba’s grenade apparently being a bigger explosion to the Predator’s self destruct, the Predator apparently being weak to fire that it not only loses track of his target to fire, but can’t see the literal beam of energy burning hotter than fire, the predator kind of giving up after two hits, and how we don’t see Boba make an attempt run away from the explosion and making it seem like he just took it point blank before walking away. I’m glad we got Excalibur vs Raiden as a bonus episode since this would have been a bad episode to leave the mid season on.
I personally think it would have made for a better line if Boba said something like “I’ve seen worse” or “I’ve killed worse” when Predator takes of his mask instead of the direct quote. I feel something like that would be more in character for Boba for me personally.
With this episode done, Season 9 Part 1 is complete. Question for the community: What was your favorite and least favorite episode of the season so far? Personally, My most favorite episode so far is Omni-Man vs Homelander, while my least favorite is Tanjiro vs Jonathan
