How much is the quality video between iPhone 14 Pro Max and 15 Pro Max. And once again, video quality the image, it’s a much different for the 14 pro max?
There is a difference between the two. The 15 appears less digitally sharpened out of the camera (especially in LOG) Might not be worth upgrading, but it’s is better!
That’s the purpose for log so creators can make it look more filmic technical term cinematic or just want the phone footage to match the camera footage to use together you like the natural home look which is fine for regular users who just want to catch quality memories

The log footage is definitely a game changer however the native camera app does not allow you to shoot pro. They need to allow the ability to shoot log and lock shutter speeds/iso so that we can shoot with a 180 degree shutter angle.
Amazing fir a phone, but the issue with all small sensors which nobody has for round is the sharpening to add detail. It's way to sharp and looks un natural on eyes of objects and especially grass and trees. Incredible however for a camera in your pocket!!
this comparision is needed, while doing 15x zoom is it only using main camera or main camera + telescope? because telescope lens uses only upto 5x, but how 15 x is better in 15 pro max than 15 pro, because both sensors are main sensors and using same camera and algorithm, if I am wrong please correct me any one. and video zoom too, video zoom is same in both models. so compare them with stabilization.
15 Pro uses an old 3x ƒ/2.8 77mm 1µ OIS telephoto camera, which 13 Pros and 14 Pros also had. Meanwhile, 15 Pro Max uses a new 5x ƒ/2.8 120mm 1.12µ 3D IBIS telephoto (tetraprism periscope) camera. Therefore, when you zoom in 15x on 15 Pro, it uses 3x optical zoom and 5x digital zoom. On the other hand, when you zoom in 15x on 15 Pro Max, it uses 5x optical zoom and 3x digital zoom. Thus, the overall quality of the 15x zoom is better on 15 Pro Max. Btw, a lot of people don't understand how good the new telephoto camera is. Apple drastically increased the focal length but kept the same aperture. It also has a slightly better sensor and a new 3D IBIS (3D sensor-shift) stabilization, which is an upgraded version of the current IBIS (which is still exclusive to iPhones).
@@abs0lute8888 Yes, the new 5x creates better images at 5x than the old camera does at 3x. I was surprised as well. Even filming with it seems to work quite well. A telephoto video camera like this is a versatile tool to have in your pocket.
I used the standard camera app for this. Which I believe is ProRes 422HQ. The only difference between pro res flavors are how compressed the video is. So 4444 is the least compressed, compared to LT. But honestly anything over 422 is overkill in my opinion!

Looks to me like HUGE file sizes for slight increases in quality. Could be wrong but it doesn't look worlds apart to me.

You could totally to so! This Lut will get you a great image with minimal work, but you can tweak it for stylistic reasons!
Newbie question here, how do you apply that Natural LUT ? directly from iPhone? or you need some other software, or using it on a mac to apply ?
Any editing software that supports LUTs! So Final Cut, Premiere or Resolve will work!
Before applying the lut, do we need to do color correction? Like rec709?
Or directly apply the lut?
All of this footage was just the LUT applied. You do want to do basic corrections before the adding the LUT

Which application did you record the log video with? Can log video be shot with the phone's own camera?
I used Apple's camera app! Just go into your settings and select ProRes encoding and set to LOG!
What codec option did you use in Blackmagic? How do the different options affect the log footage?

If you’re using the standard camera app, it’s ProRes… however if you get the Blackmagic camera app you are able to shoot h.265 and record LOG!
