I am 76 and on 90mg of duloxetine daily. Without this drug I can hardly walk, I suffer radiculopathy spinal nerve root pain caused by facet joint arthritis and lowering of disc space height an age related creaking gate syndrome problem. I have other problems, both physical and mental due to the jobs (front line emergency services) I've had and see a psychiatrist regularly. There are thousands of us under psychiatric intermittent care, just in the UK alone and thousands don't talk about their experiences, especially men. Duloxetine and Valproic acid get me through both the pain and depression as well as PTSD and REM sleep behavioural disorder. Fortunately in the UK we still have a NHS so the cost is nil. I'm presently waiting for hip pain treatment had the MRI, X-Ray and first appointment with my consultant just waiting for the treatment. Another action to combat neuropathic pain is to keep hydrated at least 2 ltrs of water based drinks a day (spread over the day) with electrolytes, but check with medical professional for contra indications between electrolytes and present medication.
I'd rather you had sporadic videos than no videos! Thanks for sharing so much, I found it fascinating and also so much to relate to with my own health.
I’ve been on Zoloft for about a year, can’t really tell if it’s helping a whole lot. I definitely cut out occasional wine because of it, I get real loopy and depressed otherwise. I think lists are a great way to cope with trauma response. It’s really hard when you are pulled in multiple directions especially with FOMO and figuring out priorities and being a workaholic(speaking about myself lol). Lists are for me an essential coping mechanism, having a time limit on list making and then a time limit on list editing/reorganizing/reevaluating can maybe be helpful?
It helped me fine til an annual EKG showed abnormal heart rhythm. Foolishly my psychiatrist told me to get off of it. 3 weeks now of unbearable withdrawal. If anyone is told to get off of it, i sincerely hope you taper very SLOWLY. 😢
I've heard a lot about people's terrible experiences coming off of it, so I willtake it very slowly. I did go down to 30mg a day due to stomach issues.
@ I have heard if taking, both. Like you are with Pre Gamblin. So far I’m only on 100 mg. First week was 50mg. I’m Getting ready for 3rd and can add 50 more. Until it feels like a change. I don’t know. My sleep isn’t improved, I’m a little more amped mid day. I don’t feel less pain. I’ll try a bit more, but don’t want to end up hooked on it either trouble getting off. I am curious about the pain relief with Duloxetine. Mine is more musculoskeletal. Tylenol is ineffective.
@@djkenny1202 it's hard to describe: some pain is gone, but I still have a lot of basic arthritis pain, mainly my back in the morning. I think still have flares now and then, but in general duloxetine makes me better able to handle pain.
@ it’s not off the table. Sone take Pre Gablin with it. I’m not sure I want both, if this does not work, I might just switch. Applied for SSI. I can’t stand or sit long. Etc.
Ive had cfs before fybromyalgia but nurologist says its chronic migraine because pain is upper bidy chronic found out i have heds asperger's ADHD OCD awaiting to try adhd meds apparently can help according dr lenz never tryed douluxitine
What side effects did you get within the 4 weeks.i too have started taking duloxetine and it is a week now but side effects are no appetite and insomnia.
hello! Initially I had some bad stomach pain and so I ended up having to lower my dose to 30mg a day. I might make a follow up video on how things are going.

Good review. Thanks.
I chose pre gamblin for fibromyalgia and arthritis but this one is the second option if not successful
I'm not familiar with pre gamblin. I also take Gabapentin, but am lowering the dose because I'm not sure I need it in addition to the duloxetine.

Please be careful if you do, because it is a hard drug to get off of, but I just wanted to get my so far very positive story out there.
