Righty!?! Simplify. Simplify. Simplify. It's so valuable to allow ourselves to expand and get complicated and then to cut back, prune and refocus with more clarity and determination on WHY we're being simple in that way. :) Thanks for hanging round here! x Chamonix
Again an again you amazingly described photography in so simple way. You are very understandable your words flow so easy to my mind making photography books and courses in few minutes. Thank U, thank U and thank U a lot.
Hey Emily :) Absolutely! You can totally use any lens. There's no right or wrong. Use what you've got and when the time is right you can upgrade and switch. It all just becomes a fun game of toys and even the most basic lowest quality pieces of equipment will help train you to be more creative. You have to learn to work with anything, in any condition and you'll just get better and better. Then when you buy the better higher quality toys you'll have even more fun with them because you'll have more skill and can REALLY use them to their highest potential. :) Does this help? -- Chamonix
The fact you never have your rear element caps on is WILD. I've traversed multiple videos now where you don't have them on. You must have a lot of dust on your sensor.
This video deserves millions of views ❤ thank you 🙏🏻
your joy and enthusiasm for photography is contagious and really comes through your presentation!
if i know you before my wedding, i would make a schedule with you..! you are so amazing....!!
Simplicity is the recipe for creativity. 👌

Great to hear! Thanks so much! :)
That is a really interesting lens combination. I appreciate you sharing your perspective 😊
i’ve been deciding to go with this combo although i’d have the 100mm on another body for wedding/event photography
I was looking for advice to photograph babies, children and family and this discussion was so useful. Thanks Chimonix.
This is probably the best camera advice I’ve found online anywhere. And I’ve watched hundreds of videos
Hell ya!! I'm so glad this was helpful for you. How is your photography going now?
Thank you for this video! Would you recommend a do-it-all portrait lens like the new canon 28-70 F2 to avoid switching lens?
Im so glad you have those lenses!! I wish to have the same. very good
Recommendation for crop censor. Canon 80D. Family photography.
Very insightful thank you. I just started and have run into the "distraction" from equipment. Thank you.
Helpful video and well explained. Thank you
Something about you and your giggly personality makes your videos highly enjoyable. As for switching lenses during a shoot, why not get a second body?
thanks so much for this video it was very helpful :)
Thank you!
I only have a 55mm for now is that ok for now until I can get a 50mm?

You'll always miss larger shots in a final edit. Your images need to breathe. Try a 35mm.
👍👍👍
Don't agree. Personally, I would use a 24-70 2.8
