Great video. You are such a huge help. Most of the videos that you guys have put out have helped me train a fantastic hunting companion. Such a great help. Thank you.
This was great, I been tryin to find out about "what is the best dried dog food on the market?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Sonannah Curious Smasher - (just google it ) ? It is a good one of a kind product for discovering how to unlock the secret the dog food industry is hiding minus the hard work. Ive heard some decent things about it and my friend got amazing success with it.
Just wonderful, I been tryin to find out about "what is the best dog food for sensitive stomach?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Sonannah Curious Smasher - (search on google ) ? It is a good one off guide for discovering how to unlock the secret the dog food industry is hiding without the headache. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my mate got great success with it.
Any tips on a dog that drinks every bit of water in sight? Anything water related she’s into it. Toilet, puddles, water dish, sink, and mostly snow is a big issue. She’ll shovel mouthfuls of snow to the point she overloads herself and pukes pure water up. Or she’ll have no control of her blatter.
Very helpful video. Are the comments valid for all hunting breeds? Do you change protein and fat levels when you know the dogs will be more stressed? (two day hunt trip vs five day)
Great questions we just increase the volume of food a little 1-2 cups more total. For example all fall I fed 1 cup in the morning and 3 cups in the evening. On recovery days I fed 2.5 in the am and 2.5 in the pm.
Nice vid Ethan, our 6mth old won’t eat the amount she should and looks skinny.... You mention 10 to15mile today, have DTS collars you use got a simple gps in them to find a lost dog or to log distance travelled..?
2feeds per day. Raw chicken necks at breakfast, Raw food diet has been partly ok, chicken frames with chopped red meat for dinner. Dry food (kibble) gets zero results, she won’t touch it. Won’t eat bones, just buries them, highly play driven.
Kibble is more calorie dense though. Really active dogs you’d be feeding a huge quantity of raw food which isn’t realistic to carry around on a hunting trip.
@@crankyoldlady5433 I'd like a complete kibble feed for humans. Think of how easy that would be. Pour myself a few cups of food per day, done. No fuss.

Very informative❤
What type of food do you feed your gsp pups and adult dogs?
We feed Eukanuba 30/20 to the adults and Large Breed puppy to the puppies!
What about during the off season?
@@christianeroberto3626 Good question! If Standing Stone reads this. It's the whole off season feeding that gets me wondering too.

How old is your dog? Have you run any bloodwork at the vet? Could be an underlying issue that needs to be addressed!

I use beeper collars! As for your 6month old what are you feeding?!

What do you think about using bowls with dividers(mazes the bowl look like a maze) in it to slow the dog down while eating?
Why slow them down?
What are you feeding with you GSPs I’m from the philippines having a GSPs wanted to know everything about the breed.
Eukanuba Premium Performance Sport
What chain gang and dog food bags do you use?
We have those chain gangs custom made. Reach out if your interested. The dog food bags are made by Mud Rivers.
How do you cut your dogs tail
How many times do you feed a day? I feed my gsp hunting dogs 3x a day 1 cup of victor. It seems to be ok. No problems. They are lean and healthy
2 times per day on average. Then 1 time per day when hunting!
What is your guys thoughts on letting your dog gain weight in the summer and leaning them out in the winter? I’ve always though the opposite.
Do you get up early and feed your dogs in the morning before you hunt?
We usually just feed a small amount (if any) in the mornings when we hunt early!
What about feeding the same as sled dogs? Aren't bird dogs the next closest thing to canine athletes?
the minute you took kibble out that bag I'm out
Lol what should I have pulled out of the bag?
@@StandingStoneKennels he means you should have brought out meat and people say not feeding your dogs a raw meal it not giving them nutrients
