@Zazutalks I got so much inspiration from your video. I have transitioned my dog buzo (he is just like Zazu) to raw food. The tripe you most likely get is bleached... because green tripe can’t be sold for human consumption. Also 3% is for an active dog.. the normal range is 2-2.5%. Not trying to sound like a know it all but I’ve been raw feeding for 10+ years. Also you can add sardines/Mackerels for omega 3’s. Also you need to look into nutrient deficits.. the lab looks a bit overweight. Look into joint supplements such as green lipped mussel powder or blue mussels. Pawsitvelyraw.com is a great source there are quite a few deficits in your diet.
krishna aswani pork neckbone is typical. But if you’re brand new to this I would look into an already made raw meal. If following this video you’re missing important deficits. A premade grind that already has the bone content in it is your best bet. This is just a VERY BASIC raw food diet. You should be adding fish/different proteins /supplements for joints. Perfectlyrawesome.com is the best website in my opinion. It’ll give you the exact bone /organ/muscle meat content needed.
Buda also eats raw food since he was 10 months old. I'm an enthusiastic of BARF and I try to read and study as much as I can. So good that Zazu and Walle eat this lovely and fresh food too! Hugs from Sweden.
I'm seeing the problem as not the cost, but rather the effort/amount of time it takes. It looked like most of that fridge/freezer was dedicated to the dogs, which means many of us would have to have a second fridge/freezer. Lastly, it seems like it would be hard to leave the dogs alone with anyone else who's not familiar with the whole process. For example, when I traveled I'd leave my dog with my parents (at their house) or might have a family come over to walk/feed the dog if I'm away for a day and this would be way more involved than just asking someone to put out a cup of kibble for example. Even bigger problem with doggy daycare type places, I'd think. I'd love to hear @Zuzu Talks address some of these concerns for those of us with kids, busy lifestyles, etc. What options do we have? Thanks!
Wow thank you guys so much for working so hard to learn this and share it. I’ve been trying to discover the reality of the dog food industry and a proper raw meal prep for my dog. Thank you
I also feed my dog a raw food diet however I also give my dog a multi vitamin since little to no raw food diets are actually a balanced diet. I work at an animal hospital and we see it a lot where many dogs on long term raw food diets made by their owners come in sick because they are missing vital parts of their nutrition. Zazu, Walle, your husband and you make such a great family! Also, this was a very well done video on Barf. I really enjoyed it! Plz make more of these in the future 😊❤💐
I'd love to know what differences in health and behavior you observed during and after the change to this diet. Thank you for the through explanation of what you are feeding them and how we could emulate it!
@@ZazuTalks it was actually cute to be honest she was polite unlike my cousin's dogs who just eat it on my lap when I have clean shorts that are to my kneecaps
And how much do u guys spend for buying food for yourselves?😂 So much love and care! God bless you and your family. We are lucky to have a four legged fur baby in our homes and not the other way round. As a pet parent I think anyone will understand this!
Soundarya, I also asked myself about it. We here were pretty concerced about food, treats for dogs - avoiding industrialized, fat food... But one do not pay same attention to our own food, sometimes eating fat and fast food... We should do the same for us, take the same care. * I think it is and authomatic response to daily life, people are acostumated and stimulated to "run" almost all time. It seems that "slow down" would mean a damage, a lost. But we do not loose time talking extra care of us/dogs. We save time... * Will get more energy and health; spend less money in hospital for diseases. For this reason this video became one of my "favorite Top Five".🐾 Congrats to Zazu Talks ❣💞 [Best wishes, Claire]
Our process for buying is exactly the same. I do save a lot of veggie scraps and cook a big batch with homemade beef stock and then freeze in silicone molds to portion. Our business costco has containers that are compostable, we portion the food in that. I can usually reuse the containers at least 5 times before I have to toss them. The lids are plastic so I just wash and keep using them over and over. They stack nicely in the freezer. I have to cut the chicken up a bit to fit it all in but I can even get a 4 ounce portion of veggies in each one with about 12 oz of meat/organs. Just wanted to share a reusable storage option. Great job caring for your pup's.
Once again thank you for sharing valuable and helpful information. I’ll be honest even after years of dog ownership I was so surprised to see a rescue channel I watch, back east, feeding a raw diet with the raw chicken legs. I had always believed chicken bones were such a.bad thing for dogs to have. After viewing this video I will look into this diet further. Thank you so much for this introduction.
The reason people say don't feed your dogs chicken bones is because they're dangerous for them if they're cooked!! So basically don't give your dog YOUR leftover chicken bones (if you eat chicken wings for example) but if you give them raw they're totally fine
Ive just started feeding my dogs raw today. They are on Cotswold Raw and it'll cost me £70 a month for one Labrador and one small beagle my beagle has 300g a day and my lab gets 700g a day they love it!
@@ZazuTalks yes im happy they are on this food now, it's minced up meat with herbs, fruits and veggies, eggs and organ meat such as kidneys and liver and I will be adding chicken hearts and fish fillets as they get used to it.
Helpful and informative vid. +1 A few additional tidbits for onlookere who might not already know them: + Some other raw veg i've read that are well tolerated by dogs: snacking peppers and bell peppers, baby carrots, wilted spinach. + Foods to avoid (toxic to dogs): chocolate and hops (the bittering herb used in all modern beers especially IPA). Simple starches, esp sugar, while not directly toxic, cannot be properly metabolized in anything beyond tiny amounts and can contribute to bloat, weight gain and diabetes even more than it does in us humans ... the only people including modest amounts of starchy things like rice or corn mush are kennels that manage working dogs who get TONS of daily exercise. Best to avoid things like kibble that contain large amounts of it as a filler (a cheap bulking agent to make the volume of product look bigger). Cheers.

I like these raw diet videos of "Zazu talks" a lot....i enjoy watching the way you feed and everything about raw diet of dogs😍 Thanks a lot for these videos.
I have my GSP on Nutro puppy. My vet said to look at the list online of preferred vet recommended foods. Now my question, your'e feeding your dogs raw chicken with bones? I'll need to research that, chicken has a very hollow bone and splinters easily. Any concerns? Want my GSP to be the best he can be, starting at a young age. The dogs are adorable and so are you two!
Thank you so much Sandy. We have had both Zazu and Walle on Raw for more than 2 years now. Haven't had any issues. We started Walle on raw when he was barely 4 or 5 months as far as I remember. We made a lot of improvements and still do. After all, it is being able to give the best to them :) Good luck with your pup.
I do believe that as long it is raw, you can give any bone to a dog, if he isn't used to you need to watch him when he eats to make sure he doesn't choke.. But search as much as you can before give anything to him >< (sorry my bad english)
I just got a Cane Corso puppy and I have him on a strictly raw diet. I farm and raise animals for food as well so my dogs can have all the byproduct that I don’t eat. I have chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, pheasants, quail, rabbits, frogs (soon), pigs, goats, and sheep. I don’t have the room for cows so I get my bovine products from a neighbor.
I've heard about raw diets for dogs for many years, and I've never understood how it's safe to feed raw chicken and pork. Does freezing kill the harmful pathogens? And I was shocked to see you feed the chicken with bones. I've always understood that they splinter and are dangerous. I know you adore your dogs and are doing your best for them. What am I missing? Please help me understand how this works. Thank you!
It's not safe. Also the bones are dangerous. Dogs are domesticated animals who have for centuries lived on human leftovers and so feeding them raw meat now doesn't make sense. They are not wild animals any more. Cooking the meat on steam would be much safer and much tastier for them.
Also, they won't reply to you, or me. They only reply to those who agree with them on everything. If you disagree, you're out. The bones ARE dangerous, they are very reckless for feeding the dogs raw meat with bones. It's funny they wear gloves when handling the meat "for safety reasons", yet they feed it to the dogs. They should educate themselves on the bones as well. They need to understand that dogs are neither wolves, nor hyenas to be fed bones on daily basis. I feel sorry for the dogs. I guess they're just lazy to steam cook the meat for them every day.
Thank you, Radana. I was only asking for more information in a respectful manner, not telling them they are wrong. I'm astonished that their raw diet hasn't caused problems. I currently don't have a dog, but when the time is right, I'll be evaluating many choices. Accurate information is crucial, and I only wanted to know I if I'm missing something.
Premium quality kibble is the best diet for them. Bones everyday are a no no too. Been keeping Labrador retrievers for over 30 years. Now breeding. Believe me, kibble is all that is required.
Cooked bones are extremely dangerous to feed to dogs but what they are feeding is raw bone, which is not only a healthy, but an essential addition to a dog's diet. It provides necessary calcium and minerals, keeps their stool firm, and naturally cleans their teeth. And the harmful pathogens you allude to do not affect dogs, because their stomach has a lower pH level than humans, enabling them to break down most pathogens which would be harmful to us, hence the use of gloves. People choose to feed raw in different ways, as tailored to the needs of their individual dogs, and convenience, and I firmly believe that this particular family takes a great amount of care when it comes to their dogs' needs, primarily shown by their reluctance to feed kibble, which most experts agree is the complete opposite of what a dog's biological dietary needs are. I humbly ask you to inform yourself from reliable sources instead of lending an ear to loud and raucous strangers on the internet.
i heard raw is really expensive, but looking at this, i feel like most of us could at least afford some if not all the raw food for healthy dogs!! I feel like feeding them kibble everyday is like eting rice everyday. even if u swap kibble its like rice but brown rive, white rice etc... Raw food gives so much variety and flavor and textures and lots of health benifit!

Hey there. Great videos. Your dogs are adorable, especially Walle. Question: If my dog is 40 pounds, would he get roughly 1.2 pounds a day of food? I have a mostly pointer/beagle mix. He has a pointer built, so he is lean and HIGH ENERGY. And also, how do I measure this food so I know I am allocating the right amount per day - must I buy a food scale? I have been doing about 50% veggie/50% meat. Maybe I need to do more meat? The meat I get for my dog is expensive since I buy him mostly grass-fed meat/liver. At times I give him wild fish from a can. Is this an acceptable substitute for fish oil? I would need to find molecularly-distilled and high quality oil and I am worried it will be pricy. I do give him pasture eggs/eggshells every other day and sometimes I will grind up some flax. But for the most part, he gets the 50/50 ratio. Can a dog be given slices of avocado in his meal? I heard only the pit is toxic. My dog eats avocado, just as a snack once in a while, but maybe it should be more of a staple? And should I stay away from peas, potatoes, corn, rice, grains??? Any help would be forever appreciated. I love my dog so much and only want the best for him as he has given me so much. Deb
Hi Deb! It is great that you have now moved to a raw food diet for your pup. I will try to answer the questions to best of my knowledge. 1) Yes 1.2 pounds a day should be good, but if you have a growing puppy I would do slightly more. 2) 50% veggies is a lot, I would definitely increase the percentage of protein and other things mentioned in the video, like organ meat, hearts, and other supplements. 3) Regarding egg shells, we actually stopped giving that since we get most of our eggs from big box stores and I am not sure what they have on the covers, but if you know where it is coming from then definitely grinding it and giving it with their food is a great source of calcium. 4) I am unsure about avocado, I have given some as treats to Zazu and Walle but we don't give it to them daily. I have read that giving it in large quantities might be dangerous. 5) Regarding other grains, the whole idea of raw was to move to a more protein diet. "Corn, wheat, soy, rice and barley are not bad or harmful to dogs and cats. These plant sources are simply not good choices" 6) We used to use a small scale to measure the amount of food we gave them, but we don't individual measure the organ meat, veggies and other things. Since we have done it for a while now, I can actually just estimate and give them food without the scale. Lastly, your are already taking such a big step moving to raw and trying to give your pup the best food you can so don't be too strict about having expensive grass fed meat and all other things like that. Just do the best you can! :) Good luck! lots of love
Is there is preffered age you should transfer? for example, would it be okay to transfer a 2month old puppy to raw? or is it better to consult a vet before?
God bless smart and educated parents who know what their babies need. Turning to raw meat, steamed veggies and allowed fruits and some whole-grain bread, saved my darling's life and gave him an extra 6 years in health and increased stamina. I saved thousands of dollars in Vet-Expenses using the food you use here - I, too, added some organs too (beef and chicken liver and heart mostly and some chicken necks, lamb and kangaroo tails). Praise you awesome parents.
That is awesome Anna. That is great that it worked out for you too. They have been on raw for a number of years and we love it. Kangaroo tailsss wow! It would be a delicacy for Zazu and Walle 😱
@@ZazuTalks Our PetSmart, closest to us, brings in very diverse foods for dogs - I preferred buying food for him from human counters but the Pet Stores might have some extra exotic things like the kangaroo tails, quail eggs and such. I am just guessing that in the US you might have even more of these - if you have chance to browse a bit their fridges. Thank you for the Pupacino - I never knew Starbucks has that for our babies. My Dante would have loved it so much...
Just a little word of advice since you still have the slow feeder for zazu try giving him a bigger piece of meat so it takes him longer to chew so he doesn't eat so fast he's pretty big so I understand the concerns of bloat but just try giving him bigger pieces of course you want to start slow but still try so he doesn't still have to use a slow eater not trying to be one of them guys but just a little word of advice
My GSP Lacey almost made it to 16 y/o and I fed her a "better" brand of kibble but as she got older she kept getting fatty cysts on her and I always wondered if it was from feeding her processed food. When she ate her food she would eat it in portions, eating exactly half or quarter of the food at a time. The leftover food in the bowl was left in there like pie slices perfectly cut.
Aww love the name Lacey! We can only try to provide the best for our pups. Raw food can be expensive but doing it ourselves has actually saved us a lot. Thank you for watching our video ❤️🙏
Hi! Did you start them on this in one day or did you work it in with their kibble? I have 2 gsps and really want to know where their food comes from. Also have they had any problems with the raw chicken/bones, I'm so scared to feed raw chicken!
If your dog is healthy switch them immediately onto Raw. And raw chicken bones are safe to feed as long as they're Raw and going to the Primal pack would be good
My mom is fine with a dog eating food unfit for human consumption And I can not convince her to switch to raw but I have a allowance of 20$ a week Is that enough to feed my 55 pound foxhound if she is the least picky eater in the world beacause she has a sensitive stomach and is 5-10 pounds overweight please respond
i’m starting my dog on a raw food diet tomorrow :) as for splitting her meals, do you guys give your dogs the same meal twice during the day? or do you switch it up a bit each meal? thanks 🤍
How did you make the switch? It seems like my dog would get sick if I just switched completely. Did you do a mix of their old food and the raw for a period of time?
Nice video. Can you please mention what the Pork with bone item is exactly? I am trying to find it at my local Costco but they are not in 30lb bags. Thanks
Yes but is that raw meat free of hormones and antibiotics? I feed my GSP and GWP raw meat which is free range and yes more expensive but no added nasties! Thanks for the vid!😊
@@ZazuTalks so they eat the bones? Even chicken bones? Fish? JW - it is the cooking that makes it so bad? With splinters to get lodged into G.I. tract? It might worry me. For their kidneys, as well. (Interesting) I would do it if vet declared safe. ... SO, your Vet knows and does not have concerns? Again, JW. (Not questioning your judgement). **Love them both so much.** (Thanks for thaaaat...BTW - sarcasm) They are NOT my dogs, and I should not be pretending they are! (Lololololol.) 💜💥💜
you're not using the "grinder" anymore? I was debating to get one. I'm a little nervous just putting that whole chicken leg quarter in the bowl for a newbie.
We did use a grinder for a couple of months because I would get really nervous about giving a whole piece of meat with bones as well. But now Zazu and Walle have been on raw for years and we haven’t had a problem with giving them a whole check leg quarter. Again, some dogs can’t seem to digest certain meats well. For example, Walle doesnt do well with pork but Zazu does fine. So we moved to only chicken and beef now.
how can i keep my dogs in one area while eating instead of scattering throughout my house. I want to be able to clean one spot, the spot theyre eating instead of multiple spots(where they scattered in the house to eat). thanks
I'm 12 and my mum said that I have to do the meals for myself but some of it is too complicated for me and I don't have a lot of time because I still have to go to school and do all my school work plus other activities what do I do
Very helpful step by step instructions. I worry about giving bones, especially chicken bones aren't they suppose to splinter? Maybe leg quarters bones better?
We were worried in the beginning too, so we used a grinder to grind all the meat and bones. But later we just started giving it out whole. Cooked bones are dangerous to give. Zazu and Walle have been on raw food for over 2 years now, we haven't had any issues.
If it’s kept in the freezer I believe it’s frozen. So how does the dogs get to eat it, frozen? How do you deal with the mess from putting the chicken on the floor when eating etc
I was told that the eggs should be boiled to avoid Salmonella poisoning. Also, it is suggested that the shells be included in the food as this is a good form of calcium.
Due to the dogs Ph and smaller digestive tract it's not necessary to boil the eggs. However you can still give them boild eggs if you wish! Raw eggs or boild is fine. I see people crush the shell and add it to food all the time but I believe it's down to your own preference if you use the shell or not
@@paperclips4113 Dogs can digest raw bones but cooked bones become brittle and are dangerous. From my experience, if you have a dog that have been eating kibble most of their life, premade raw might be the safer route. Bones are ground up in a premade raw diet. Some dogs might not eat the bones properly or they might not digest them well. Shells are perfectly safe.
Very good video:) Hi I have an 8 year old 90lbs goldendoodle that has been eating kibble all his life..I wanna start giving him raw food but don't even know where to start.I know it's about 2% of their body weight for meats/protein including organs meats right? But how would I know how much is 10% of this or 20% of that? Also are chicken leg quarters good enough to meet mineral requirements or do I need to add things like ribs, turkey necks etc..? Also can I give my dog the same thing over and over for example the two recipes u showed on video? Or can I change it up and add other meats like ground beef, ribs with bone , turkey chicken? So for my 90lbs goldendoodle what's the percentage equal to in lbs of each stuff to meet all nutritional requirements? Protein, fats, organs, this part is what is making it so hard for me:( Thank you and sorry for all the questions.
It is kind of hard to calculate all of that specially because the bone is in the meat. We do give them beef bones once or twice a week to make up for the times it isn't enough

That is great info! thank you for sharing. We used to feed them egg shells but the eggs that we get come from big chain stores and the eggs are said to be coated with mineral oil, a petroleum product, to help increase shelf life and decrease contamination. Unless we find a more organic option we are trying to stay away from it.
I debated about giving my dog a raw steak bone the other day but internet would say yes and then no bc if salmonella so I’m confused. Dogs eat chicken bones as well?
I get my chicken leg quarters from a meat wholesaler for 65¢ per lb. My Costco doesn’t sell leg quarters. Also, check out the bag of mixed frozen berries.
Yes! I love those frozen berries... we have been getting those recently. The Costco we get it at is the Business Center Costco, I think they are the only ones who sell these big boxes. Haven't found a better and cheaper alternative yet.

Love it!!! 🥩👌 I’ve been feeding my dogs raw ( Premade) they can’t get enough!!! It makes me smile to see them enjoy their food also knowing it’s SO much better for them than kibble 😭 amazing parents you guys are to your doggies ❤️
Thank you so much. We try to do our best. After doing it for a year now we are getting efficient at meal preparing now 😁 thank you for watching

Thank you so much! Glad you found it helpful ☺️
Agree 😀❤️
I'd love to know what differences in health and behavior you observed during and after the change to this diet. Thank you for the through explanation of what you are feeding them and how we could emulate it!
I was watching all your videos and my neighbor's dog mouth had been drooling over the videos and I had to feed her while he was away to Hawaii
haha that is so funny!
@@ZazuTalks it was actually cute to be honest she was polite unlike my cousin's dogs who just eat it on my lap when I have clean shorts that are to my kneecaps
And how much do u guys spend for buying food for yourselves?😂
So much love and care! God bless you and your family. We are lucky to have a four legged fur baby in our homes and not the other way round. As a pet parent I think anyone will understand this!
Haha! That would be for another video.m but definitely Zazu and Walle eat healthier than us 😂
Soundarya,
I also asked myself about it.
For this reason this video became one of my "favorite Top Five".🐾
Congrats to Zazu Talks ❣💞
[Best wishes, Claire]
Just love them both ! Walle n Zazu Muaahh babies ❤❤😘😘
Thank you so much ❤️🥰
Our process for buying is exactly the same.
That is awesome! thank you for sharing. We are trying ways to reuse/recycle these days :)
Really nice 👍 to see how much effort you guys spend to organise the food and feed them as appropriate 😊😊😊😊 3 cheers to you all hats off 👍👏
Thank you so much. In the beginning it was difficult but after a year of doing this, we have gotten much better! We try to do the best we can 🙂
Once again thank you for sharing valuable and helpful information.
@@Te3time I know nothing about this subject but why are the cooked bad for them but not raw bones?

Ive just started feeding my dogs raw today. They are on Cotswold Raw and it'll cost me £70 a month for one Labrador and one small beagle my beagle has 300g a day and my lab gets 700g a day they love it!

Awesome! Thank you! It is amazing!
Helpful and informative vid. +1
A few additional tidbits for onlookere who might not already know them:
+ Some other raw veg i've read that are well tolerated by dogs: snacking peppers and bell peppers, baby carrots, wilted spinach.
Cheers.

Chicken Bones just splinter when they're cooked
❤ They Love You SO MUCH❤🐾🐾
I just got a Cane Corso puppy and I have him on a strictly raw diet.
That is a lot of animals you have out there
I've heard about raw diets for dogs for many years, and I've never understood how it's safe to feed raw chicken and pork.
Well done, a great informative video!
I love you guys, thank you

i heard raw is really expensive, but looking at this, i feel like most of us could at least afford some if not all the raw food for healthy dogs!! I feel like feeding them kibble everyday is like eting rice everyday. even if u swap kibble its like rice but brown rive, white rice etc... Raw food gives so much variety and flavor and textures and lots of health benifit!
Thanks for sharing, I’m transitioning to raw for my two Poms. I’m hoping this will help heal them.
That is awesome! Good luck 👏

Looks very healthy! Why raw?? Is it okay to do cooked meat???
Yea all of my ferrets eat raw food I would never give them dry food beacuse the stuff dogs can’t eat goes to ferret food
Oh! Definitely a healthy choice. Zazu and Walle agree hehe
These plant sources are simply not good choices"
6) We used to use a small scale to measure the amount of food we gave them, but we don't individual measure the organ meat, veggies and other things.
Hi there. Bennie is almost 5 years old. I will try to see how I can measure 1.2 cups a food a day and def. add more protein.
:-)
Skepticg18 Hi I know this was 10 months ago, but just wanted to see if you meant 1.2 pounds and not cups 🙂
@@chazahyah4210 pounds. It’s the percentage (3%) of the weight of the dog.
Is there is preffered age you should transfer? for example, would it be okay to transfer a 2month old puppy to raw? or is it better to consult a vet before?
They cant start as early as 4 weeks
Those are cheaper than my country😭🤣...well done mommy, keep them healthy and strong😍

And raw chicken bones are safe to feed as long as they're Raw and going to the Primal pack would be good
Fascinating!
Thank you for the raw food info. I can feed my lab the same way
My mom is fine with a dog eating food unfit for human consumption And I can not convince her to switch to raw but I have a allowance of 20$ a week Is that enough to feed my 55 pound foxhound if she is the least picky eater in the world beacause she has a sensitive stomach and is 5-10 pounds overweight please respond
i’m starting my dog on a raw food diet tomorrow :) as for splitting her meals, do you guys give your dogs the same meal twice during the day? or do you switch it up a bit each meal? thanks 🤍
We try to switch a little everyday. Between different proteins and fruits/veges 🥰 they seem to enjoy it better
How did you make the switch? It seems like my dog would get sick if I just switched completely. Did you do a mix of their old food and the raw for a period of time?
I loved you guys. One question: the bone-in chicken is safe? I wanna give to my dog. Also

@@ZazuTalks so they eat the bones? Even chicken bones? Fish? JW - it is the cooking that makes it so bad? With splinters to get lodged into G.I. tract?

you're not using the "grinder" anymore? I was debating to get one. I'm a little nervous just putting that whole chicken leg quarter in the bowl for a newbie.
We did use a grinder for a couple of months because I would get really nervous about giving a whole piece of meat with bones as well. But now Zazu and Walle have been on raw for years and we haven’t had a problem with giving them a whole check leg quarter. Again, some dogs can’t seem to digest certain meats well. For example, Walle doesnt do well with pork but Zazu does fine. So we moved to only chicken and beef now.
@@ZazuTalks thanks for the quick reply and the informative video

My fridge does not have room so should I buy another fridge in the garage
Yes it might be a good investment. Our freezer is pretty much just full of dog food
As long as they’re not cooked bones, it should be fine. Especially chicken bones are very dangerous when cooked, but not when raw.
Did you leave the bone in the chicken?
If is it safe for them ?
Hi! what kind of camera setup are you using?
Sony a7iii 🙂
If it’s kept in the freezer I believe it’s frozen. So how does the dogs get to eat it, frozen? How do you deal with the mess from putting the chicken on the floor when eating etc
Any good recipes for German shorthair pointer
I was told that the eggs should be boiled to avoid Salmonella poisoning. Also, it is suggested that the shells be included in the food as this is a good form of calcium.
Due to the dogs Ph and smaller digestive tract it's not necessary to boil the eggs. However you can still give them boild eggs if you wish! Raw eggs or boild is fine. I see people crush the shell and add it to food all the time but I believe it's down to your own preference if you use the shell or not
The intestinal tract can be punctured. Just as if you and I were to eat bones and shells.
Nice video. What is the bone in pork called at Costco?
My dogs not into food much. I wish they love good like yours. Good video! Thanks
Thank you for watching ☺
How do you calculate the bone content for their proportions when using bone-in meat like chicken legs?
It is kind of hard to calculate all of that specially because the bone is in the meat. We do give them beef bones once or twice a week to make up for the times it isn't enough
♥️🐕zazu and walle♥️🐕

That is great info! thank you for sharing. We used to feed them egg shells but the eggs that we get come from big chain stores and the eggs are said to be coated with mineral oil, a petroleum product, to help increase shelf life and decrease contamination. Unless we find a more organic option we are trying to stay away from it.

2> Can you share the name of the butcher shop. I live in bay area (San Jose). It will be helpful.
3> I am also trying to get chicken feet for him but can't find them at walmart or any other place. Need it for his joints. In case you have any suggestions.

aww thank you so much!
1) We go to Costco Business Center - We get the 40 pounds chicken leg quarters and Pork Butt or Pork Ribs.
2) Any Mexican store should be good. There are lots of options - beef liver, pork and chicken hearts, kidneys, tripe all of that good stuff for good prices. Also beef bones with the marrow in them...the dogs loveeee that.
3) We actually have never fed them chicken feet, but will look into it.. Thanks for the suggestion.
