I liked how they gave designers a chance to get exposure. However I wonder how many winners actually succeeded in the fashion industry without feeling like they sold their soul.
I wish this show would come back. I loved watching a pile of fabric turn into an outfit. I don't always understand the reasoning behind it but still, the creativity is amazing.
Tim Gunn really is a super hero. He's just so dignified, humble, kind and generous. The way he always advocated for the designers really resonated with me. I think it's ridiculous that they want to claim that the producers don't have a say on who advances, when it's literally in the fine print at the end of each episode since season 1.
Interesting that the video alleges that the producers have no influence on the judging, when every PR fan has seen the on-screen disclaimer stating that the producers DID have input on the judging. Also, I noticed that they did not include Tim Gunn's comments about Ashley Nell Tipton's plus-size designs being "hideous" and that her season 14 win was due to "tokenism", not to her design skills. Way to go, Mr "Mentor"...in all the years I watched PR, I cannot remember him EVER ripping into a designer's work in that way.
Project Runway opened a world to those of us who don't go to NY Fashion week in Hyde Park.. we got see the blood sweat and tears that goes into making what some would say "it's a shirt.. it's pants.. it's just a dress"... no.. this was someone's vision and someone's dream and we got to see them live in living color and yes, since I watched all seasons..Christian Seriano, I spelled it wrong last likely.. but he was a favorite.. he just had fire and heart and knew he had the talent and had to show the world that brilliance that is him is real. Watching people getting to live out a dream.. and then continue with that...I just love this show.
I think it's really $hitty what the winners of the show have to go through. From what I understand, they are not guaranteed "the prize" they are given a really crappy contract where they loose their intellectual prosperities and in some of the earlier contracts with Harvey Weinstein's group they loose like 15% of everything they will ever make the rest of their lives. Designers are artists and what they create should be there products.
IMO its a cute show, however, plz tell Nina to get a new hairstyle - so sick of the same hair style ! Also - i stopped watching after MK left. Zack Posen was trying to fill MK shoes (with the sharp tongue)! He came avross as "mean spirited", instead of humorus (like MK was)!.
I long for the days when the models were super skinny. The clothes were more “seen.” If they insist on super-sized models the. There should be a super-sized edition of the show where all the models were large, and overweight. Let them be short too, why not?
I hated that Real Housewives episode. Them ladies are soooooo snobby, arrogant & more..!! Seemed like those designers seem like they had hard time working with them.
So which one is me Becky Ross, Scott, Elizabeth , christoff myself again who is this , I'm still suing I have,I.D. theft so bad what would any one else do .
I'm all for fashion for plus size women BUT I don't want to see them on Project Runway, most clothing just doesn't look good on a plus size body- AND if this wasn't just virtue signaling by the producers, there would be plus size male models - but there aren't. Season 19 was an unwatchable pile of woke dog poo
What do you like the most about watching "Project Runway"?

Try making the cut. Heidi and Tims show on prime.
I also wish this show would come back, I want to compete, have many ideas, and yeah I'm going to keep saying this until the producers find me!
Project Runway season 18 is now on Netflix

criminal that the models didn't get paid
That's insanity

Its just plain wrong that the models don't get paid😡
There needs to be a new All-Stars season, including Hester Sunshine. The last few seasons lacked a fun, bright personality.
I'm sorry, the models aren't paid?! 13hrs of work and no pay?! That sounds absolutely illegal, and if it's not, it should be!
The content of this video has little to nothing to do with its title. Shocking! So sick of this crap on RUclips.
Thoughts on melodramatic commentary in response to personally disliking a video?
Like all edited programs…A LOT

Booooooo
We know that producer bit is wrong based on previous videos and comments.

Lost interest once Heidi and Tim left…
Seven hours to come up with the most catty and insulting remarks to denigrate designers, all in an effort to appear witty...nice.
