Honestly the technical risk was sky high , but the idea was a stroke of genius. Project Runway has given us so much creativity.

It was clear Christian Siriano was destined for greatness when he appeared on this show, his looks were EVERYTHING 🤩
He was “kind of a big deal” even then. Lol. I love Christian.
he was absolutely FABULOUS
He trained with John Galliano in Paris. He’s like what is left of him. I love Christian he’s my favorite. Also the mom who found out she was pregnant during filming. The red head one who finished a three look challenge a day early then took a nap. Lol the host was like “what are you doing?!!!!” She was like I’m finished I need a nap. He said well u have to line them and she sai they are. Mic drop.
Also the crazy lady Candice maybe the name. She stabbed her own daughters picture. And was caught lying on camera with her daughter. Lol pure entertainment because I’ve met women like that.

I think about that rain dress all of the time. The satisfaction in the dye running was EVERYTHING.

The umbrella dress and dye dress still my all time favourites.
The teaming of Christian and Chris (RIP) was a match made in heaven. You have Christian with his elegant designs and add Chris with his over-the-top engineering of drag queen looks, and throw in the fact that neither felt threatened by but appreciated good design by others, and you end up with an incredible look.

@@karalozdan4414 I’m not sure exactly, but I know he was having health problems. In fact, a few months before he died he liked a comment of mine on Facebook and I was over the moon. Felt terrible when he passed.
Honestly, water activated fabric is a game changer. Especially if it returned to its original blank slate when it dries

Korto I thought was the most detailed and executed designer on the show
Rami was one of the most talented designers ever on the show. His dresses were extraordinary. Same with Austin Scarlett.

Lawd I miss Heidi and Tim!!! This is one of the BEST Reality Competition shows EVER. I just wish that they were still a part of the show.

I loved a dress Christian Siriano made using Reece's cup wrappers... though not spoken of in this... It's my favorite!! He's my favorite always fierce designer!

I never have been a fan of reality TV but this show is just one of my favorites. I enjoy watching all the seasons.
Erin easily one of the best ever designers in PR history, her colour palettes were sick and not just the yellow wire dress, all of her avant garde looks were unbeatable that season.
I agree-- I think she had an excellent combination of taste and creativity.
Austin and Christian were some of my all-time favorite designers. I can only dream of wearing dresses so stunning as theirs.
Of course, Christian Siriano and Christopher's dress. I still remember it and their collaboration. The rain dress with dye. Loved it, and Austin Scarlett's lit up dress!

I demand that Heidi and Tim should make a comeback next season! I miss the invincible duo. Love them both. Project Runway will never be the same again without those two.
@Rachel Terry they did. After season 16. The show went to complete reboot. Nina is the only one that stayed.
I would love that as long as Christian would also be a part of the show!

Tim YES. Heidi UM. got tired of her butchering the English language. And she's quite fake.
I'm still pissed over the praise of the outfit "banana hands", Heidi loved the outfit and said she would wear it. The designer won that season, it was a dumb embarrassing outfit.
I know it's not the prettiest garment, but I'll always love Austin's dress made of corn leaves.
It was so creative. Too bad it dried up. It was well shaped
Okay this is crazy. Ayanna's finale green embroidered gown was UNREAL. The absolute best garment/design ever on that show. Tim Cook even said so in the reunion episode for Season 16. She looked like she was floating down the runway and completely captivated my eyes.
In terms of all Project Runway designs, the first few dresses on this list are just okay.
Ya, that yellow hunk of chicken wire and plastic was junk compared to most of the others.

What made that look memorable was the story behind it. If it weren’t for that then not so memorable
Okay, two things... Number one, I love that Koto's EXTREMELY underrated coat dress made the list, in spite of the lame shade Terri threw, and second....what about Jillian's cute little bustier and skirt made of Twizzlers?
I mentioned that Twizzlers outfit also....I still never forget that masterpiece

Got to admit, though, that Terri's comment was really, really funny in the moment. By some miracle, Koto was able to get those scarecrow sleeves to lower! Must have brought in special forces to achieve it.
What about Dom's coat and jumpsuit from the avant-garde butterfly challenge? Or Kelly from the Deli's bridge dress? Or Mondo's HIV inspired print pants? There's so many better outfits than some that are on this list
I LOVED those looks! I did the same gasp Nina did when Dom revealed the jumpsuit.

While I personally agree, fashion is subjective. That's why these top 10 videos are hard to do. I'm sure they'll do another top 10 video and include those looks tho

Definitely Austin's lighted-up dress in blue with white lights. So gorgeous and so creative. It had an ethereal quality unmatched by anyone else.

I loved the Rockettes challenge. The costume top had the NYC skyline. A picture of the Rockettes in that costume is hung up in the Empire State Building.

Oh, she's a fairly unpopular winner (though nobody comes close to Gretchen) and her aesthetic (and even some of the design elements) are a rip off of Del Pozo.

Dmitri's red carpet Gown was one of my Favrt One.... That white Gown with Franchise was amazing.... It should be in the top 10 list!

At the start of this video, and throughout until its midway point, I was practically holding my breath in hopes that you’d include my ALL TIME FAVORITE garment of any season. Then, as I said, you showed it midway through: Sean Kelly’s Rain Dress. I was never more impressed before & since. It was daring & risky...and breathtaking. I was stunned when watching it on the runway, in awe of its genius. I replayed it several times for myself, then I made my wife watch. Made my sisters watch. On RUclips, have shared it with anyone I knew who has a creative spirit. Oh my gosh. I wonder if I’ll ever be so dazzled...
Honestly Christopher Palu's New York inspired Roquette's dress and Mondo's HIV outfit deserved at least an honorable mention, and definitely more than Anya or Irina

My all time favorite is the rain dyed dress. The look on the judges faces reflects how surprising and wonderfully creative that look was.

Some of my favs: Emilio's circus dress and the gold dress that made it to your list; Dominque's double pattern coat & jumper set; Anya's jumper made from other contestants remnants; Mondo's HIV+ pants; and the two aforementioned rain dresses. btw, Kini= most under-awarded genius contestant ever.
To this day I'm still pissed that Kini didn't win
I love the hallmark card wedding gown. It's gorgeous, sentimental, and has great commercial value for the brand.

One of my favorite designs was Erin's yellow gumball dress, from the candy store challenge. She's talented. Wish she'd design for plus sizes.
The just-add-water white sundress was beautiful and SO dramatic! The way the colors spread was something no one else was able to match.
The dress that bled color! He should have won- who ever ever ever even conceived such a thing! Magical

I remember the first time I watched the episode with the umbrella dress. The winner of the episode was supposed to be Kini, the design and sewing of that dress is gorgeous, who is skilled enough to sew something like that? However, they didn't win him alone, he won with Sean. Ok Sean's idea was nice but it definitely can't compare to Kini's dress...

One of the most hideous designs out there. I agreed with the scarecrow comment. Hard to believe that it was actually considered one of the top ten. Looked hideous and was not imaginative in the least.

The rainway dress is MAGICAL. The appearing colors, amazing.
Unforgettable and ALWAYS comes to mind… the black umbrella dress, color rain dress, and of course, Syrianos design… flawlessly embossed in my mind… sheer genius…
I don’t watch this show because I don’t care much about fashion but there are so many amazing looks here. OMG impressive as hell
My personal favourite Project Runway designers are Dom Streater, Brandon Kee, Kentaro Kameyama, Mondo Guerra, Erin Robertson, Anya Ayoung-Chee, Michelle Lesniak. It is hard to objectively pick the best design when there are no criteria for best. It is like comparing channel and dolce & gabbana who doesn't even design for the same customer (meaning if you are into one you won't want the other in your closet)
Michelle and Erin are repetitive designers, can't create different concepts and keep designing the same over and over. Dom's designs are simply gorgeous.

Everyone always hates having to do an unconventional materials challenge, but those are the challenges that really produce some of the most innovative, outside-the-box designs that people remember for years to come.
Christian Siriano's feathers gown grand finale look is not even listed? That was one of the best EVER!

My favorite look from him is the Quilt coat from his final collection.
One of my favorites was the blue fringe dress that Sean Kelly made for Heidi Klum. It looked like one of those delightful car wash wraparound brushes. 🙃

The umbrella dress was actually done back in 95 at FIDM graduation fashion show. The female designer even made it to where the umbrella pieces came off and hidden under it was the skirt.

I'm stuck between Christian and Chris's Elizabethan inspired dress and Austin's light dress. This brings back a lot of memories of Wednesday nights, spent up late watching the show, especially during Season 4 when Christian Siriano was there.
I love the white dress that rains color. Of all the designs of every episode of every season this is the most creative.
By far the white rain dress that changed color, BEST EXECUTION OF AN IDEA IVE EVER WITNESSED. BRAVO! PERFECT 10

Definitely my favs are 9,8, & 4. I remembered each as soon as they were mentioned. Big fan both then and now. The Rain Dress, for me was a particular standout look. I remember telling people about it that I knew could care less, but I couldn't NOT share. I certainly would have substituted a few entries. Can't believe none by Mondo, maybe my fave designer of the show.

Project Runway.. one of my all time favorite shows .. Heidi.... Michael .. Nina ...Tim.. looked forward to every Thursday
The producer of project runway was my moms roommate in college. She is rly nice and once when I went to nyc when I was little I met Tim gun. All I really remember from this whole experience was seeing the room where designers worked on their stuff, and stealing a ring pop out of a bowl on a table full of food for the crew.
I still love Austin and Christian so much. That's the main takeaway from this video.
I might be the only one but... I think that Ayana Ife's a "little" avant-garde look with the huge pink bow deserved a spot here

My fav on PR was none of these. It was Mondo G's hiv+ dress. I even own a maxi-dress & a sun hat with that pattern.

Erin was way overrated. Her clothes were too costume-like, and I don’t understand why the judges loved her so much. Feel free to disagree, that’s just my opinion.
I was not a fan of her either, but I thought maybe I'm just to "normal" fashion wise.

It’s funny, Hester in season 17 had the same “ quirky, bright “ style but I liked her a lot more ( that’s not to say I liked all of her designs ) but Erin has very few outfits a liked- seemed very costumey rather than “ quirky” idk that’s just my opinion
I don't think the judges liked Erin's designs much at all on PR All Satrs.
Christian Siriano's and Chris March's (RIP) collab at #2 is one that I always remember, because they had to come up with two looks and they just KILLED it!
Christian, Erin, Sean, they were awesome. A lot of designers who were in this show are amazing. A lot A LOT.
