He was probably the only remotely fashionable person they could get to judge from the first season, considering that s1 filter, they didn't exactly have the best budget.
"I met my model and she said she was from Brazil". I am brazilian and I JUST want to say this: we actually wear clothes. We DO NOT walk the streets in bikinis. Putting a girl in a bikini just because "she is from Brazil" is dead ass dumb and demeaning.
Loved Wendy's look! She gave the model a nod to her country's biggest attraction: Carnivale. It was beautiful and colorful and very well done. The test would be for someone who does not have Wendy's talent and creative genius to pull of this look of hers. My guess is that it would come out looking like the family cat put it together. Wendy's was cohesive and eye-catching in the best way.

The win was based on the top bid received from outsiders. That dress was appalling, but appealing to some anonymous pervert who was willing to spend money to have it. That does not constitute good design.
Santino was the one of the best character in PR, he was like "I don't care what you have to say, this is my design, take it or take it" Poor models, they always have to make it work.
I don't think Santino was ever an actual designer or had any intention of being one. Santino is an artist (not saying he's a good one) and he just wanted to be on a reality show to get some publicity under his belt. He's used to it his advantage for sure.

Casanovas dress had potential. The bottom part was beautiful, at the top its horrendous. He should have put more thought into his garment, basically he chose to be lazy with designing it.
Kara's dress really wasn't that bad. If you hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't have thought Girl Scout. And even then, it's only the hat that makes me think it looks Girl Scout-ish. Take that off and it's still a nice dress.
I liked Kara Saun’s outfit. The color palette looked good on Kara’s model. I liked the juxtaposition effect, it’s play on opposites, etc & you can tell Kara put some thought into it. -- And keeping it real, 💯, .....even if it’s not to your personal taste, we have seen far worse abominations on PR that were unfinished, that didn’t fit, etc etc.
I just thought of that picture of a model looking like she is wearing toilet paper/roll and paper towel rolls...oh and the one that just looks like she's in a garbage bag. (I think those photos were from and actual show)

Nina Garcia laughed until she almost cried. Pinnacle moment!

No mention of Daniel Franco or Stella's trash bag dresses from season 1 or 5? I remember Peach's avocado 🥑 goiter dress from season 8 also being more unpleasant than even Wendy's looks. There are many other outfits that the judges more notably hated than some on this list, but some are right on the money. I vividly remember my reactions to Santino's Christmasy lingerie, Blayne's bizarre one legged masses of blobbed up fabric, and Casanova's stripper look in particular.
