      What adjustments need to be made for a 12inch ring? Would it just be one more triangle? Would that fit appropriately?

    Thank you so much for posting the written instructions!! It's so frustrating having to pause and go back while watching a video or losing your place. I wish more creators did this.

    Does this work with a single stranded cord or which one would you recommend? Also what size works better for this project?

    Hi, love your video...how long would the string need to be for a 6 inch hoop for this project please?

    • @ceebee0766
      @ceebee0766 3 года назад

      Nup...tried it...didn't work, I kept running out of cord and couldn't do the second row of half hitch...is there a difference in the sizing of 4mm cord? Really disappointed and now I have tonnes of cut up rope...

    Hello from Canada Melanie! Would you please tell me what size beads did you use, I ordered the wrong size from Amazon, the cord won't go through my beads. Thank you so much for your help! I love all your projects : )

    This is so pretty! I haven't done macrame since high school. Could this also be done with bulky yarn or blanket yarn? There are yarns thicker than that macrame cord and come in so many pretty colors!!

    • @MelanieHam
      @MelanieHam  4 года назад

      I have not yet found a yarn that compares that is sturdy enough... you could try it out if you were going to lay if flat, but hanging on the wall wouldn't work in that case ;)

    Melanie do you think gluing a mirror behind the loop would be nice? I want a mirror with a macrame edging and this project gave me an idea. What do you think?

    I'm noticing that if you did this a different way it would make a very nice collar.

      What's your idea?

    • @calcrules
      @calcrules 4 года назад

      @@MelanieHam I'm thinking, exact same procedure, but with thinner cord. And, instead of doing it around a metal ring, do it around a piece of cording. Kinda has that old style "lace collar" sort of feel. Like you'd see on an old dress.

      In the video, she says she used 3 or 4mm width cord, cut the cords to 24 inches & use a 10 inch ring :-)
