I used 4mm macrame cord However, even if the thickness is 4 mm, it depends on the type of rope. You'll have to cut it a lot longer. :) I hope you will make this work well. Hi, I love your videos. I’ve tried this Wallhanging and I agree, it is harder than it looks. I have also had to redo areas to get it looking symmetrical. I did find that I had to make the length of the 2 white cords on the left longer by about 1m as this row had the most half hitch knots. I love the final piece and loved the challenge.

How do I keep the rope/pattern straight? My lines end up looking all crazy. And uneven. Any tips on how to keep the ropes straight. Where the white and black ropes cross is where it messes up.

Hi, I have tried making this twice and I salute artists and you already for all the hard work that you do :) Can you tell me the distance between the cords on the dowel ? Example : distance between 1set of white cords , 2nd set of white cords, then between 2nd white and 3rd white ? I cannot seem to figure the geometric distance :(
