It speaks to how the format is technically defined and how content is made by formula. There's a science to hooking an audience. TV, music, video games... companies are devoted to understanding the mind and how to create addiction.
@@bobsondugnutt9914 The cycle is quite ironic though. A company will make a bunch of stuff and not much will come of it. One day they make something really good, and it sells, or is received well. Then they say well what did we do to make this work? They copy what they THINK everyone liked about it, and add that to the formula, make another thing, but it's not as good. Rinse and repeat for a while until the Formula is strong enough to make solid content based on the success of your previous work, but realize in becoming formulic you've become bland, cliche and almost a parody of yourself at this point and your product becomes inferior to what it once was when it was more organic. It’s almost like there’s a formula that History Channel uses to make its crap shows.
Good thing the real history Channel shows aren't filled with LGBTQBLM propogodas
I DID NOT CATCH THAT THIS WAS A JOKE UNTIL I SAW THIS COMMENT LMAO
The way the cut to the people talking directly to the viewers and what they do before a add happens. To perfect
My favorite is the intense musical sting that plays when Bart asks about the sandwich. They nailed the manufactured drama those shows engage in.
It's actually unreal how well the editing matches how an actual show on the history channel would look
Agreed, The editing is stylistically really strong, occasionally it takes it a bit further like when it spins around him in a full circle 😭 perfect for a parody 😂. They also shot properly for it.
It speaks to how the format is technically defined and how content is made by formula. There's a science to hooking an audience. TV, music, video games... companies are devoted to understanding the mind and how to create addiction.
Детерминизм это Свобода 🤙 🤙
Once you try to turn genuine inspiration and ideas into a system for making money you ruin it and it becomes inferior to authenticity, even when it parodies or mirrors the formuialic stuff.
@@ChaosDesigned Explained like a champ. Beautiful. If this was reddit you should've gotten 2635 awards, and none of them would've mattered anyway.

It's got everything: the weird premise, the overly cinematic intro, how the episode gets completely derailed within the first minute by the most inane things ever. It's beautiful. Next time I feel like watching the History Channel, I'll watch this video instead.
Yeah, with the music stings and those stupid interviews where they have a perfectly fine shot framed, but have to circle the person for extra effect. The animations are really cool, but they know how to (or how not to in this case) work the camera also.
It's got the homoeroticism
I love this show! I'm on season 8. The show was better before Bart left but I think Trevor was a good enough replacement. Still the show has me hooked! Such hardship, struggle. I feel thrilled and emotional. Someone please nominate this show for a Golden Globe or Emmy.
