After having kids and grandkids with no interest of getting out on that ice, I too am brought to a sense of relief seeing that there still are the few in this generation carrying on the legacy.

The Ice Guys cinematic universe is by far one of my favorite bits of anything ever
I was worried when the background music changed to something stressful, but thankfully the worked it out and the music became happy again.
This so fucking wholesome. In real shows, Joel's character would end up arguing with Bart, leading to bart leaving the ice, and never returning. But instead, Joel boosts his husband's self esteem, giving him the push he need...To head out on that melted ice.
Joel? Do you mean Duncan?
Now we all know why History Channel didn't take them up on the deal. I heard even TLC turned them down.

Damn this was my favorite episode of Ice Guys yet, the emotional rollercoasters and just seeing them out on that melted ice really made me enjoy my hot chocolate and marshmellows so much more
Fun fact, as long as the concentration of air-ice in the air is low enough, the melted ice will just start to evaporate without the addition of energy, since the melted ice itself has energy. This will happen until it reaches equilibrium air-ice pressure.
Did you know that by sticking ordinary tap water in the freezer overnight, then leaving the result out on the counter for a few hours, you can make your own melted ice at home? It's true!

If cable tv was this wholesome I wouldn't have cancelled it 10 years ago.
This inspired me to tell my best friend that he's special to me. He replied with " Wtf are you talking about?" I told him "I'm just saying you're special to me and I appreciate you." We hugged and haven't spoke about it since, but it was cool to share a moment together that was just about being bros and appreciating bro-ing together all these years

The newer seasons of Ice Guys have been going downhill. They're really scraping for content with the new Science Center segment
I thought it was helpful to understand where liquid ice comes from. They didnt explain air ice well tho

I'm sorry I have to strongly disagree my friend. I think that the new segment is a welcome addition to the show. It's nice to have some informative educational content instead of all this non stop ice walking action all the time. My son Billy was so excited he is now working on a report on melted ice for school. He graduates this year, I am so proud! We have invited Dunc and Bart to the ceremony. Fingers crossed they can make it!
Worse part is, I had the TV on and there, on the History Channel, was some garbage about guys living in the frozen north of Canada and it was literally your "this is good snow" video and I couldn't stop laughing

The science part may turn off many cable viewers. Its too complicated. How about a segment where the colors are very oversaturated, and several contrived characters with randomized stereotypical traits compete to make the best cupcake.
Nnnah... still too complicated.

This was just the pilot. Hopefully they can make the necessary adjustments for the TV execs.
Or a nature segment where the sound technicians add roars and squeals to literally every second any animal (including insects) is shown on screen. They can add some EXTREME facts about them, for good measure.
This skit series has some surprisingly touching moments
I love the implication that the science center will be about how ice changes into liquid and gas every episode
