      This is just superb, been searching for "cpc medical coding certification" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Lukesey CPC Carnage - (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my neighbour got amazing results with it.

    I’m so happy I found your channel. Thanks for sharing your knowledge! I’ve been in the healthcare industry for quite some time, specifically in claims. Currently I’m an adjuster for appeals & grievances. I’m at a point in my career where I need something more. I took a coding class a few years ago & due to health issues, I had to stop before the class was completed. I did take the CPC exam but did not pass. I really want to try it again & your channel is giving me the extra push I need. 😊❤️ THANK YOU

I haven't looked through all your videos, so don't know if you're also covering reimbursement. You are providing a wealth of knowledge with these videos! I'm working on an assignment now that I'm struggling with and that's why I started searching for help online.

    I just want to let you know I'm in joyful tears that I have found this channel. I graduated with honors from school as a Certified Medical Billing & Coding Specialist. The school I attended only offered the NHA certification testing. I passed that testing, but I have noticed that most places are looking for someone with at least 2 years experience and either the AAPC or AHIMA certification. I am so bummed out, but I try to remain positive that I will get hired because of my overall experience in the medical field. I have been a CNA for over 20 years. I am going to delve into these videos because I am determined to work at home as a certified profession coder, because I have 4 year old special needs child, and I need to make sure if something happenes to her medically, I can be available for her without jeopardizing my job.

    Thank you! I ordered these books and they are expensive - I totally agree! I have the 2018 ICD-10 and CPT books as well as the Study Guide and Practical Application workbook. When I got them, I was overwhelmed because they are really big and I just let them sit for a couple of weeks. However, I want to work from home and I have been looking into this industry for several years but never made a move. Now that I have, I see that there is a LOT of information to absorb and you are SOOOO helpful and full of information. THank you soo much! I am really beginning to understand this and I am not afraid of looking through the books any more. I want to start this year out with a bang!!!! Working for myself at home is something that I really want to do!

    Amazing I'm so glad I found your channel today I did a quick scan and I cannot believe all the content you have available! This is Definitely just what I need..I took a billing and coding program at my local community college but it really only prepared me for billing. I was able to land a job that I have had for about two years, but I have found what I really want to do is coding. Specifically surgery coding as I currently work in an orthopedic and sports medicine clinic. I have gained an interest in surgery billing and would love to do the coding also. Do you think a focus on inpatient orthopedic sx coding will be too limiting when it comes to finding employment? I also just want to say looking at jobs I would be going for in the future I see that alot of coders are allowed to work from home! That is something that is extremely appealing to me as I am a single mom! THANK YOU AGAIN!!

    Hello 👋. Love your style and energy. I enjoy your teaching seriously. Question:
    In your opinion which is better
    1.) AHIMA?
    2.) AAPC?
    3.) In the future can you be associated with both?
    I’m currently setting up a path to get started with AAPC because I can’t understand if AHIMA is offering any classes at this time.

As far as English being your second language, no you do not have to be a fluent speaker. Make sure you understand Medical Terminology so that you understand what is documented in the medical record. We only code what is documented. If you can do that, you should be fine. I will be doing a Medical Terminology video soon. New video coming soon.

    GREAT Information! I am not sure if you've answered this question or not ( sorry if you have). I just enrolled in DeVry and the website says that they are not ahima accredited. Could I take the test and get certified with courses from them?

It is a lot to keep up with and is expensive, but it works for me. I submit my ceu's and I have access to their knowledge banks. You are so welcome for the videos.

      Your welcome The Preying Naturalist. While at the college, ask if their program is an "Approved" program through any national organizations. That will help you determine if the program is regulated and has to meet certain requirements or if it is just a made up program based on an idea that someone had.

      Soni Gudia, please check job ads to see if they require that certification where you live. I have heard of them but don't see jobs advertised for them. Most employers look for CPC, CCS or CCS-P for coding certifications.

      @Sheena0390 7 лет назад

      ok,Thank you. I also checked the websites you mentioned and I'm confused about one thing which is that AAPC and AHIMA give certifications but do they provide courses? Ex. I took a course with ED2go through George Mason University and I'm taking the certification exam with NHA. So does AAPC and AHIMA provide the same thing or they only provide certification. In addition, I want to further my education in this field, do these websites provide a 2-4 years degree and certification?

    Hi I'm looking for a career change. How do I start to become a coder?

    • @jbaux84
      @jbaux84 7 лет назад

      Happy Will start by taking a medical terminology and billing and coding class either online or through a local college or adult education school. Medical Terminology knowledge is a must to understand what doctors and healthcare professionals are saying. You want to find a good medical coding and billing class to become knowledgeable about finding the right code to bill with and understand guidelines. Beyond those basic classes, you will want to decide which certification you want to go for either with the AAPC or AHIMA or you can get both! I think it is most important to have a good, solid foundation of knowledge on how coding works. There are some schools that offer exam prep courses that can also be of value in addition to the sample tests you can find online through various websites.
