I bought FO 1st for one month, farmed a bunch of scrap/ammo, then canceled it. You can still remove items from the infinite stash, you just can't deposit. $12 is well worth it for a month or two.

Not to mention the free atoms, the private world to farm the rare apparel and to find the rare vendors. I don't usually like having to pay extra but Fallout 1st is worth it

Im a new player who went from 1-30 in a few days. My stash got filled very quickly, ammo is so abundant I simply dropped all of it but left 100 of each type. Checked all my power armor suits for armor then tossed the empty extras. Went through all my weapons and armor and scrapped most of it. Sold crappy legendaries to the legendary vending machine. Dropped all my food and water in favor of the cannibal and iron stomach for the drinking side perk. And increase strength and use perks that increase carry load. Next step most likely to use strength perks to decrease weapon, item, and junk weight.

Put your unneeded stuff in your player vending machine for cheap. That's what I end up doing everytime my stash gets filled with scrap. I also found out that a lot of stimpaks just constantly end up in my inventory and they weigh a lot, so heavy recommendation for the medical supplies weight reduction perk if in similar situation.

@@Fallout76Fan i got lucky and found a chameleon armor piece which makes me go invisible when crouched, combined with max sneak and using a suppressed hunting rifle with all the modifications to turn it into a sniper rifle I can fairly easily clear any area that scales to my level. You can pretty much unlock every single hunting rifle weapon mod by going to emmeret waste disposal (i think thats what its called) and killing every single friendly npc, enter inside the bunker and scrap all of the weapons then store the scrap in the box next to the weapons workbench. Both will be immediately on your right upon entering the inside
FO 1st does not give you infinite storage in your stash. Oh how I wish it did. It gives infinite junk and ammo storage which is still worth it IMO. But my stash gets filled with legendaries very fast.
Also FO 1st does give you 1,600 atoms a month so if you spend more than $12/mo on atoms you may as well get FO 1st.
I wish perk cards worth for your stash... or better yet you can apply perk cards to your stash xD
@@ItzTermxI'm a bit of a whale when it comes to storage in mmo type games. Not gonna mention how much I spent for max storage space in FFXIV but it was north of $30/mo.
My biggest issue is I been playing for a few weeks and am out of quest content to do other than dailies. I was a power armor collector in FO4 so imagine my disappointment when I learned that not only can I only display 5 sets of power armor in my camp, but those displayed sets still take up 10wt each in my stash. sadface

I think if fallout 1st gave you infinite storage it would be more of an incentive to subscribe. I think kind of a ripoff that you would pay $13 per month and you still don't get infinite storage...
The rep grind isn't as bad as people make it out to be. When doing those two dailies you mentioned, you can get more per turn in depending on the options you choose. Once you finish the wastelanders story and have a camera there's an additional daily at the Overseer's house that can give you rep and the cooking daily in the Whitesprings Refuge also does. Over at the Ohio River Adventure, you can turn in Mirelurk meat for Raider rep and a host of random encounters that will get you rep for one side or the other.
I've also seen others mention the 2 events, Moonshine Jamboree for Raider rep and Eviction Notice for Settler rep.
Honestly, I'm disappointed they didn't add others when other factions arrived. Rep grinds are a pretty common thing in online games and it fits really well with Fallout's factions imo.
I messed up when I started by buying utilities but now they have come in handy because I’m over-encumbered a lot so those carry weight have come in handy.
Don't forget don't forget two events will give you rep for both factions settlers you have to do eviction notice and the raiders you have to do moonshine jamboree. And I recommend doing these not for just rep you're straight up fighting hordes. And you can get a lot of stuff even legendary weapons. Eviction notice is a little better for the weapons. And also most of the stuff you see for like the utility you can get in game for free ,perfect bubble gum will give you full hunger and thirst Wich will give you a buff ,carry weight boosters a savior. You can get it all pretty easily by logging in everyday going to the atomic shop getting one utility for free, or doing events. Even I think this month right now fallout first is on sale for 6 bucks on Xbox at least. If you want first then buy it cancel the reoccurring bill and grind the hell out of resources. I still need to do this and I've been kind of lazy at it lol. If you ever get fallout first for free for a few days or buy it for at least a month, take the opportunity and gather every junk and every ammo, no matter the ammo take it.

level 180 I found a trick on making more storage more manageable. build stuff gear and weapons then sell it on. I placed my camp next to a river and placed 20 purifiers get at least 300 caps daily I use companey tea to hydrate. Im next to Abbies bunkerthose 3 bunkers hold loot like Microscopes

I got the game as a monthly free games from psn, I spent the dough for one month then you can keep the storage even when you are back off 1st
I’ve never bought repair kit you get so many from events it’s nuts I been dropping the normal ones know and only keeping the improved ones
I swear I was doing the fusion core thing and this dude decimated me with a chainsaw btw good vid I just started like a week ago and I’m on lvl 40 already

I’m having a blast with FO76. Just reached level 122 and will be buying the year of FO1st. I enjoy it enough to support the game. All the dlc content/expansions are free and $100 a year isn’t a lot to ask for a game you get hundreds of hours out of.
Only time you need to use repair kits is if you are halfway through an event or mission and your stuff breaks I’m only level 60 I don’t know if there is a better method this is just my opinion but it seems to be the only time you need to use them unless you carry a secondary loadout but I don’t just for carry weight purposes.
Werehouse kit, a player vender had one for sale. Always check player camps.
Also luck drop caps, ammo, food, chemicals do work well.
I just started playing last month and i’m level 109 and I love this game. I gave in and bought fallout 1st but it was by no means a must have, i just could afford it and thought it’d be nice. As for the atom shop I’ve never bought any and don’t even know how to min max the free atoms and i’ve gained a few thousand now. All in all it took a awhile to learn everything and at first i thought it was too pay to win but atoms seem easy to come by and i definitely don’t feel like i need fallout 1st.

Camera is freaking fun
I just started the game and I enjoy it a lot. But my only issue is that I started as the level 20 Shotgunner start, and it's fun. But I've still yet to find a decent shotgun to replace the one I started with. I'm level 32 now. And my issue is that I'm finding now that a lot of enemies are taking 5-10 shots to kill as compared to before.
use better perk cards and scrap shotguns for mods also there’s a mission early on where you can use a token to get a legendary weapon make sure you pick the shotgun one

I love 76 and i made 3 characters one level 89 70 and 40 im using my old characters for their goods and 1st is good for private trading.
Ngl, I lose track of time when I'm playing the main quests, when I found out how to get the hell cat armor I Immediately started hard focusing on the brotherhood of steel missions. There great and you get a decent amount of items from them
If you opt not to have FO 1st, use one of your camp slots to set up a mobile base. It can be a bit of a PITA to build a blueprintable base, so try to keep it simple as a beginner. No merging, fancy wiring, and minimal decorating.

2:17 Point of clarification; you can prepay for a year of Fallout First for $100 USD. That’s an option, designed for the more committed/dedicated players, of course, and I don’t think anyone should jump immediately to that option.
It’s also the cheapest way to buy Atoms. 1650 Atoms each month (19,800 over the course of the year) brings the cost down to $1 per 198 Atoms. Compared to even the sales, that’s the lowest possible price.
It’s not something I recommend casually, however. But it is the best ‘value’ available.
Add in all the other benefits (Bonus Score challenges and rewards, monthly free items, etc), and it has a lot of value, for those that want those add-ons.

@5:13, do the Scorched Earth, and other Nuke Events. You are rewarded with improved repair kits for participating. Save those for when your gun breaks during an event. Otherwise, get Fix it Good and Weapon Artisan perk cards, swap them in, and fix your own stuff.

If I'm playing daily, I will have Fallout 1st. For all the quality of life reasons given but mostly for the private & custom worlds & atoms. Worth $100 a year to me. But when I'm not playing for months, then I'll let it lapse. Considering all the DLC that drops free, I think it's a good deal overall. I spent way more on Destiny 2 and got a whole lot less out of it. Bungie literally steals back content that their customers purchased.

Been playing almost a month & my only problem is people don’t either want to team up or I can’t find players to be cool with. I run everything solo other than events. Fallout 1st doesn’t bother me because I got the game for free from amazon for Xbox & recently bought the Steam bundle that had every fallout game for $22

New player, lvl 30. Nice videos, good content. I see a lot of "best power armor" videos. I'd like to see a beginners guide on how to build and maintain your first power armor. I got the excavator armor plans from Miner Miracles quest. Now trying to decide what I go next. Quest says build... So do I need a power armor cradle stand thing. Also, it looks like there is something that recharge your fusion core? Where/how get that? I guess a step by step guide on what you do once you have power armor plans. Thanks
Wait til level 45 before you do any of this. Excavator maxes at 45. Grab your power armor frame and head back to garrahan. There are power armor stations there. Take whatever pieces you've already acquired, if any. You'll need a bunch of screws and other mats to build the pieces. The reason for going to garrahan is you have to register that power armor. Registering it gets you the power armor stations, for free, that you can then build at your camp. You can also craft the power armor at any power armor station in the world. Foundation, crater, other people's camps and then go to garrahan with it. To register the power armor you have to be wearing it also. Hope this helps!

If you see Bolstering or Vanguard's pieces, DO NOT scrip them until you see if you score some more in a timely manner, I.e events, the Rust Pick vendor, etc. This goes for marine and combat armor pieces early on when out of PA, as well. You can be next2invincible against most common enemies with enough of those pieces. Icr if it's Sturdy Frame??? but there's a STR perk that gives you added damage resistance while firing heavy weapons, Iron Clad for defense/any weapon overall, no PA. You're FO76's version of The Wall with that build and those are just a handful of cards; also keep an eye out for some Overeater's pieces, too. For some underrated cheek clapping since you seem to like PA so much, max out all the unarmed cards and get Hydrologic Bracers for your arm pieces. Guns? Where we're going we don't need guns...or melee weapons...or explosives.

@@raventamer99 Im a noob. I presume to survive in later levels against the really strong creatures you need power armor to survive. I was trying to get the astronaut girl as an ally and she sent me off on some encryption task. I saw a sheepsquatch from a distance and shot him in the head with a sniper rifle 2 times and only did a hair on his damage. I snuck away and got attacked by some giant salamanders who broke my gun and armor. Then a mothman attacked me. I hid in port o John at scout cabin. I thought he would leave, no, he beat on door. I opened door and threw plasma grenades a couple times to no avail and died. I tried multiple more times. Finally gave up figuring I will have to wait until I am higher level and better equipped. Do not get the fusion core recharger just craft a weapon that uses fusion cores as ammo and you'll get a free fusion core when you craft the weapon just grab the weapon after you craft it and you'll get a core
I got 1st switching out Sam Hyde’s gumroad but I’m so happy the community in this game is ‘don’t get it or don’t worry’ when in ESO the game is trying to make you get it a lot more and most players say ‘just buy it come on I don’t want to wait for you when we get back from missions’

8:45 my camp is placed in the same location of Ash Heap as the one shown here. Ended up building it there before I found out it's right between two free fast travel locations. Makes it good for business and there's really nothing to defend it from. #gasmasklifestyle

Just throw stuff on the ground if you have inventory problems. I pick it up again before I log out if it's something I want to keep but usually I just get new stuff. Stuff is pretty easy to get in this game which a lot of people don't realize.

I played all of the older games and still play 4 everyday. I didn't play 76 because I heard of all the problems people were talking about since it came out. I stuck with FO 4 up until the update that killed all my progress and work I put into my worlds. I finally decided to bite the bullet and play FO 76 after the BS up to FO 4. I am regretting waiting to try FO 76. Now I am grinding away at level 180 trying to figure out all the power up methods. Finally trying to figure out mutations and haven't even launched a nuke yet. The nuke is the last thing I guess that would complete the game. I got FO first mainly because I am so use to not having to worry about storage issues. Me personally, I can afford it because I don't play any other games that I pay anything for. It would be awesome if I not have to worry about the storage thing like on FO 4. I do understand why they probably did it. I like the game and will continue to play it even if I am a slow learner and still haven't figured out the powerful build yet.
Also, I have no problem paying a little bit a month if it means I can help everyone I play with even if it with a tent so they have the ability to use a craft table to scrap anywhere we are.
dont ever feel the need to buy fallout first unless you really want the exclusive skin or item for the month. in that case get it and grind out all the scrap you can in your scrap box then cancel if you want. you keep your scrap box after canceling

It's a dilema. I don't like the PTW model, but I do get the subscription setup. If they don't operate on a subscription model, they can't supply continuous support. Don't know the answer...

It’s really just ‘pay for convenience’. I’ve been a FO1st subscriber for a long time now, and it doesn’t make my characters more powerful. It just reduces my ‘downtime’ in game.

I've only been playing for a couple weeks, I got to level 53 but I must have picked all the wrong cards because I'm getting destroyed. My best armor and weapons are broken and I used up all my scrap for repairs, so I was grinding to make repairs and my second tier weapons and armor are broken now lol. So I guess it's back to Diablo 4 lol
If you ever need help join a party and ask higher level guys, we don't mind crafting you some weapons and armor. We have a large surplus of scrap, and most don't mind giving it out for free, especially to new players.

I paid for FO76 1st for a long time. It seems like anytime I have it, and use the private server, I get consistent game crashes. Why on earth would I continue to pay for a broken service?!
The ammo and scrap storage is amazing but not for $12.99+ a month. Everything has become such a cash grab and I'm tired of it lol.

Play this game for a solid week. Once I hit my stash box carry limit. Making me to dismantle certain weapons and dismantle some power armors to free up space. Then regretting all that moments later when I started a other mission. Screw this game forcing you to buy a subscription.
Been doing the main story after not playing for a few years, seems to be a lot of bugs on the vault 79 heist? Npcs will freeze and not move, really frustrating

I just reached level 57 by doing a few weapon side quests, most of the main quest and the entire brotherhood is steel questline which was a ton of fun and of course joining a ton of events!

On the scrap kit: What does “store the scrap you collect” mean? It just sends it to your stash box?
@@MountainVibesTX yeah pretty much, if you collect a lot of junk, using a scrap kit will send it all to your stash/scrap box without you having to physically stash it yourself

Id definitely say buy it every other month or two so your able to get the stash emptied and can free up space, ammo and junk. Well that's at least how i see it being more efficient and YO ITS ALWAYS WORTH THE PLUSHIES 🎉

I don't mind paying for the convenience of having Fallout 1st. By principle it's exploitative, but were already living in a world where most things are. And somehow, people still find it surprising. If you sit and complain about it on social media all day; it's pretty much the only thing you're going to end up doing.
The issues for me are the glitches I find while in the midst of a mission. Five times the game glitched while in the mission " Fun and Games" chasing that annoying little girl around for Gail and having to start completely from the beginning every time. So at that point I gave up on the Raiders and fell back to the Foundation side of the story. Now having all my ducks in a row with them, the old lady doesn't show up with "Motherload" and I have to now go hunt for her and Stick Up. I find her in "The Cave" but now I for some reason no longer have the key to get in... WTF so close but yet so far... Kinda getting pissed off!!!
If you're at all a T-51 fan you're gonna want to complete that quest carefully so you can get THE ONLY PA skin with a stat boost.

If your going to play for months on end, fallout 1st is very worth it imo, however I would not get the sub until you get a character to lvl 100, start building a bit of a camp, engaging with all the endgame content etc... See what the game has to offer long term before you make the change

I just got 1st for half off lol i been scrapping like crazy to fill my scrap only been playing 3 weeks i got almost 10k in all scrap 😂😂 but weapon plans an mods im slacking hard in right now
@@Fallout76Fanbeware over hoarding plans. They weigh a quarter pound each and can add up fast wasting a lot of stash space on things you're never going to sell.

@@Fallout76Fan I honestly stopped dealing in workshop plans a long time ago. Only things in my vending machine worth less than 1k are high sale rate consumables. Berry mentats, royal jelly, sugarbombs with rads, and food that doesn't spoil.

I started playing about 2 weeks ago as a stealth melee. I played like this in FO4. I’m literally swimming in caps, weapons and ammo…..
I wish I could scrap legendary armors and weapons for scraps lol I end up selling them for dirt cheap after the vending machine runs dry.
You dont scrap legendarys, you take them to the rusty pick in the ash heap and trade them in for legendary scrips which is a different currency. You can then buy certain things with it
What pisses me off is the obstacle courses. Too much progression is locked behind recruitment blues and it cannot be finished without joining the army. Same for the Enclave. And the agility course at MClintock is bullshit.
The repair kits show their value if you're a heavy PA user and hardly/ever leave it. Can repair without having to interact with crafting stations. Also during combat
Only ever used a repair kit once and my power armor is me. That repair kit was also not ever used on my power armor. I have the perks that let me repair to 200%. Surprisingly it lasts forever almost. I think I've repaired my PA only twice in the over 1 month I've played and I don't put in measly hours either.
@@raventhorX Yea PA has such good durability. Even more so with electric absorption perk, it'll hardly ever break with that equipped. My repair kits almost solely go to weapons if I'm in PA
I thought about buying FO 1st especially considering how i liked the game and played it for 100 hours in a relatively short period. Only for the Scrap Box's utility, but to be honest just because it feels forced by the game I didn't buy it and opted out for using those perk cards that reduce weight 90% and drop or sell most my junks. I only use 2 builds with 3 weapons for each so armor and weapon is not that heavy.
My biggest turnoff for the game is that how easy it is if you optimize your build. Like basically 1-2 shotting a 100 level super mutant or melting a mirelurk queen in 5 seconds solo is simply insane there is literally nothing challenging in this game not daily ops not expeditions not open world bosses. You don't even need a god tier build most builds work fine on 2 star weapons and armor. Yeah someone might say well you shouldn't go for the most op builds but like bruh there is nothing more badass than using a big ass power armor with a gigantic ballistic weapon and lighting everything up around you while enemies can't even go through your life regen.

I get bored with 76. I get bored with all games when I power play them. I just play something else for a day or week and go back to the game a little refreshed.
So I got a question why does using the perk card machine feel like it’ll be a one time thing? Last time I played this game I heard you could move points around and now you can’t. I haven’t touched the card punch because I don’t want to mess up a build again. Do you have to start a new character to get the first ‘punch card’ to be something else?

forget about other player and play the game the way you want to. It's your game if someone wants to level up fast ok, if you not as Hight a level as some others that's right as I sead your game have fun.

Your description of the scrap box is kind of bad, it doesn't give you infinite weight in your stash, it's a separate container that has infinite weight. Many people will think it gives the regular stash box infinite weight if you don't word it correctly

A 1 year sub to FO1st is $99, not $140. No, you don't need FO1st to enjoy the game, but the game needs FO1st to survive. It is designed so it can be played both ways and other people having FO1st also benefits people who don't. I'm sure you've used someone's survival tent by now and during Mutated Event weeks, you get better rewards if 3 or more people have FO1st.
It's normal for online games to charge for inventory as inventory is very stressful on the servers. The more shit you have, the harder the server has to work.
Basically, if you don't want to pay for it, don't. But don't knock others for having it, they're the reason you get to play for free.

I never started to lose interest in fo76 in the time that I've been playing my new character, the game has changed so much and it's a lot of fun to just find stuff around the map and complete storylines

For me wat i do not like in fallout 76 is the tutorial, its Just pick up this and pick up that. And the cards and story line is not explained at all.
I start over for the over 10 times and Just pick a perk and select the first card in the row , i do not know where the for. Maby a minigame like skylanders?
And the storyline i am complete stuck in that.

The game doesnt do a good job letting ya know u can get most stuff for free and grinding stuff also the biggest thing i see with burnout is people will play the game 8+ hrs everyday of courseeee its going to get boring

Really? People buy repair kits? For my first year in 76 I was playing as frugally as possible.
I guess the simplicity of the repair kit gives people the want to use it?
It blows ass when your main weapon bails on you because you forgot to go to your bench last time you were in camp and you're mid-Scorchbeast Queen. I do hate how much they seem to just... let you go on assuming they're the only means of repairing shit, though. It's come up more than once in my group of friends that play.
I was going to say no one I know has ever used atoms to buy repair or scrap kits. You can get both for free from time to time in the shop and you can get improved repair kits free from scorched earth.

I disagree that there’s any implication that kits are the only way to repair gear.

i quit 76 a few years back after playing up till pre BOS release doing the pre-release beta and what not and not just coming back as well as starting over on PC from Xbox. while yes the game can get grindy when you are wanting to make everything you had there is so many quests to do and places to explore im 77 and have yet to see half the map and so far the game in enjoyable just wish Bethesda was better at fixing bugs that have been around for years and are common knowledge enough to have different workarounds found for them like NPCs getting stuck in the vault 79 raid when you side with the raiders
